Texas Jack was an American performer, actor, and showman. He was known for his skills as a cowboy, actor, and musician. Born John William King, he was a popular performer in the 1870s and 1880s. He was also a close friend and rival of Buffalo Bill Cody. Texas Jack was a key figure in the development of the Wild West Show, a traveling exhibition of cowboy performances and stunts. He was also a skilled horseman and rodeo performer.
