Texas lawmakers

The Texas state legislature is the bicameral legislature of the U.S. state of Texas. It is composed of the Texas Senate and the Texas House of Representatives. The legislature meets in Austin, Texas, and is responsible for making laws for the state. Members of the legislature are elected by the people of Texas and serve terms of two or four years, depending on the chamber.
