Thomas Carlyle

Thomas Carlyle was a Scottish philosopher, historian, and social critic. He is best known for his work on the history of the French Revolution and his philosophical ideas on the nature of society and human progress. Carlyle was a prominent figure in the 19th-century intellectual scene and was known for his strong opinions and writings on politics and social issues. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1795 and died in 1881.
