Thomas Lightfoot

Thomas Lightfoot was an English Anglican cleric and philanthropist. He was the Dean of St Paul's Cathedral in London and a prominent figure in the Church of England. Lightfoot was also a significant benefactor of various institutions, including the University of Cape Town. He played a key role in the development of Cape Town during the 19th century.
