Thomas Merton

Thomas Merton was a Trappist monk and writer who was known for his spiritual writings and poetry. He was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church and was recognized for his contributions to spirituality and literature. Merton was born in Kentucky and spent most of his life as a monk at the Abbey of Gethsemani. He is best known for his book "The Seven Storey Mountain", which is considered a classic of spiritual literature.
