Tom Edison

Thomas Edison was an American inventor and businessman. He is credited with developing the first practical incandescent light bulb and is one of the most prolific inventors in history. Edison founded the Edison Electric Light Company and developed the first central power station. He held over 1,093 patents in his name and is widely regarded as one of the most important inventors of the 20th century. Edison was born in Milan, Ohio, and died in West Orange, New Jersey.
