Tom Shatel

Tom Shatel is a sports columnist for the Omaha World Herald. He has been covering sports in the Midwest for over 20 years. Shatel has written for several other publications and has appeared on various TV and radio shows. He is known for his in-depth analysis of college sports, particularly Nebraska football and basketball. Shatel is a native of Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has won several awards for his writing, including the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association's (NSSA) Sportswriter of the Year award.
