Tom Wolfe was an American journalist, author, and social critic. He is best known for his work as a New Journalism writer, and his books such as The Right Stuff and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Wolfe was a prominent figure in the New Journalism movement of the 1960s and 1970s, and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 1978. He was also a pioneer in the field of science writing, and was known for his ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible to a broad audience. Wolfe passed away in 2018 at the age of 87.
