Kurt Wütherich, better known as Goethe, was a German poet, novelist, and playwright. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest writers in the German language and is best known for his epic novel "The Sorrows of Young Werther". Goethe was a key figure in the Sturm und Drang movement and was a prominent figure in 18th-century German literature.
