Valerie Solanas

Valerie Solanas was an American radical feminist and anarchist. She is best known for shooting Andy Warhol in 1968. Solanas was born in 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a key figure in the feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Solanas was also a prolific writer and published several books and articles on feminist theory. She died in 1988 at the age of 51.
