Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter, widely considered one of the greatest painters in history. He is known for his bold and expressive use of color, and his innovative techniques. Born in 1853 in Groot-Zundert, Netherlands, Van Gogh struggled with mental illness and poverty throughout his life. Despite these challenges, he produced over 2,000 artworks, including iconic paintings like Sunflowers and Starry Night. He died in 1890 at the age of 37. Van Gogh's legacy continues to inspire artists and art lovers around the world.
