Vannevar Bush was an American inventor, politician, and writer who was a prominent figure in the development of the first electronic computers. He was also a strong advocate for social welfare programs, including Universal Basic Income. Bush was a member of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and served as the director of the Office of Scientific Research and Development during World War II.
