Vasyl Stus

Vasyl Stus was a Ukrainian poet, writer, and dissident who was born in 1932 and died in 2009. He was a prominent figure in Ukrainian literature and a vocal critic of Soviet rule. Stus was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1983 for his contributions to Ukrainian literature.
