Born on April 3, 1959, in Hammersmith, London, England, Clarke is best known as a founding member of the synth-pop duo Depeche Mode and later as a member of Erasure. He has released several solo albums and collaborated with various artists, including The Killers. Clarke is known for his innovative production techniques and catchy songwriting.
