Historical figure and prince of Wallachia
Vlad III, commonly known as Vlad the Impaler, was a prince of Wallachia in the 15th century. He is best known for his brutal methods of punishment and execution, which included impaling his enemies on stakes. Vlad was a member of the House of Drăculești and was known for his military campaigns against the Ottoman Empire. He is also the inspiration for the character of Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel.
