Władimir Michajłowicz Ionisian

Władimir Michajłowicz Ionisian was a Soviet serial killer. He was born in 1930 in Ukraine. Ionisian was a tenor and a singer in a Soviet choir. He was arrested in 1978 for a series of murders. He was sentenced to death and executed in 1979. Ionisian's case was highly publicized in the Soviet Union due to his unusual background as a singer and his lack of a clear motive for the murders.
