About Wesley

Wesley Hunt is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 7th congressional district since 2021. He is a member of the Republican Party. Prior to his election, Hunt worked as a businessman and a lawyer. He is known for his advocacy on issues related to healthcare and education. Hunt is the first openly gay man to be elected to Congress from Texas.
