William Jefferson Ford was an American baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball for 25 seasons, primarily as a left-handed pitcher. Ford won 236 games and lost 106, with a 2.75 ERA and 1,956 strikeouts. He was a three-time World Series champion and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Ford was known for his dominant pitching and his iconic mustache.
