Wilhelm Sihler

Wilhelm Sihler was a Lutheran pastor and theologian who was born in 1815 in Germany. He came to the United States in 1838 and later became a prominent figure in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Sihler was a strong advocate for the importance of education and the role of the church in society. He is remembered for his work in establishing Concordia Theological Seminary and his contributions to Lutheran theology.
