Willa Cather was an American author known for her novels and short stories about the American frontier. She was born in Virginia and grew up on a farm. She studied literature at the University of Nebraska and later moved to New York City. Cather is best known for her novels such as 'My Antonía' and 'The Song of the Lark'. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1923.
