William Ash was a British Royal Air Force (RAF) fighter pilot during World War II. He flew with No. 242 Squadron RAF and was shot down over France in 1942. Ash was captured by the Germans and spent several months in a prisoner-of-war camp. After the war, he became a successful businessman and entrepreneur. Ash has written several books about his experiences during the war and has become a popular speaker on the topic of military history and leadership.
