Theosophist and writer
William Besant was a British Theosophist and writer who was a key figure in the development of the Theosophical Society. He was born in 1848 and died in 1915. Besant was a prominent writer and lecturer on Theosophical topics and was known for his work on the subject of astral projection. He was also a strong advocate for the study of Eastern spirituality and the occult. Besant was a close friend and colleague of Helena Blavatsky, the founder of the Theosophical Society. He was a prolific writer and published several books on Theosophical topics, including "Man and his Bodies". Besant was also a skilled medium and worked with various spiritual organizations. He is still widely read and studied today for his contributions to the field of Theosophy.
