William F. Buckley, Jr. was an American conservative commentator, author, and founder of National Review. He was a prominent figure in American conservatism and was known for his wit and erudition. Buckley was a graduate of Yale University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a prolific writer and published numerous books on politics and culture. Buckley was also a frequent commentator on television and radio, and was a popular guest on various news programs. He died in 2008 at the age of 82.
