William Faulkner

William Faulkner was an American novelist, short-story writer, and screenwriter. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. Born in New Albany, Mississippi, Faulkner was a leading figure in the Southern Renaissance. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1949.
