Author and naturalist
William Henry Hudson was a British author, naturalist, and explorer. He is best known for his novels and short stories, particularly 'A Season in the Wilds of South America' and 'Tales of the Andes and the Amazon'. Hudson was born in 1841 in Weymouth, Dorset, England. He developed an interest in natural history and the outdoors from an early age. He traveled extensively throughout South America, where he collected specimens and wrote about his experiences. Hudson's writing often explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. He died in 1900 in Paris, France.
