William MacLeod Raine
American novelist and poet
William MacLeod Raine was an American novelist, poet, and journalist. He was born on June 28, 1848, in St. Louis, Missouri, and died on January 13, 1914, in Santa Barbara, California. Raine is best known for his novels of the American West, which often explored themes of adventure, loyalty, and the human condition. His works include Tangled Trails, which was adapted into a film in 1914.
