Dutch prince and military leader
William of Orange was a Dutch prince and military leader who played a key role in the events leading up to the Battle of the Boyne. He was the leader of the Protestant forces in the Netherlands and was invited to take the throne of England by the English Parliament. He was a skilled military commander and strategist, known for his bravery and tactical genius. William was born in 1650 in The Hague, Netherlands, and died in 1702 in London, England. He is remembered as one of the most important figures in Dutch history.
