William Pinkerton

William Pinkerton was a Scottish-American businessman and founder of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency. He was born in 1819 in Scotland and immigrated to the United States in 1842. Pinkerton worked as a detective and security expert, and was known for his innovative methods and techniques. He founded the Pinkerton Agency in 1850, which became one of the largest and most respected detective agencies in the United States. Pinkerton was also a pioneer in the field of private security, and was involved in several high-profile cases involving theft, kidnapping, and murder.
