Wolfgang Ischinger

Wolfgang Ischinger is a German diplomat and journalist. He was born on June 30, 1961, in Munich, Germany. Ischinger studied economics and politics at the University of Munich and later earned a master's degree in international relations from the University of Oxford. He began his career in diplomacy in 1986 and served as the German ambassador to the United States from 2000 to 2002. Ischinger has also worked as a journalist and has written for several publications, including the Financial Times and the New York Times. He is currently the chairman of the Munich Security Conference.
