Yang Su is a Chinese journalist and writer. He was born in 1937 in Beijing and graduated from the University of Nanking. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1957 and worked as a journalist for several years. In 1960, he joined the University of Nanking as a teacher and became involved in the university's underground movement. He later moved to Hunan and joined the University of Hunan, where he became involved in the university's resistance movement against the Cultural Revolution. After the Cultural Revolution, he moved to Yunnan and became a writer and journalist. He has written several books on history and politics and has been a prominent figure in Chinese intellectual circles.
