Yvette Clarke

Yvette Clarke is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 9th congressional district since 2009. She is a member of the Democratic Party and has been a strong advocate for education, healthcare, and economic development. Clarke has also been a vocal critic of police brutality and systemic racism. She has worked closely with local community groups to address issues such as affordable housing and environmental justice. Clarke has received numerous awards for her public service, including the National Association of Social Workers' Public Service Award. She is a graduate of Brooklyn College and has a master's degree in social work from Columbia University.
