Zbigniew Brzezinski

Zbigniew Brzezinski was a Polish-American politician, diplomat, and academic. He served as the 9th National Security Adviser to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981. Brzezinski was a prominent figure in American foreign policy during the Cold War. He is known for his work on the concept of 'containment' and his advocacy for a strong US presence in Europe. Brzezinski was also a prolific writer and published several books on international relations. He passed away in 2017.
