Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald was an American socialite and writer, best known as the wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and grew up in a wealthy family. Zelda attended the University of Alabama and later moved to New York City, where she met F. Scott Fitzgerald. The couple married in 1920 and had two children. Zelda's writing often explored themes of love, marriage, and the American South. She struggled with mental health issues throughout her life and died in 1948, at the age of 47.
