Zhang Wenyun

Zhang Wenyun is a Chinese historian and scholar specializing in maritime history and the history of navigation. Born in 1950 in Nanjing, China, Zhang Wenyun earned a degree in history from Nanjing University and has since published numerous papers and books on the subject. Zhang Wenyun is particularly known for his research on the history of Chinese maritime trade and exploration, and has worked extensively with museums and archives to preserve and promote this important aspect of Chinese history. When not working, Zhang Wenyun enjoys sailing and exploring the coastlines of China.
