Chinese philosopher and scholar
Zhang Zai (1033-1107 AD) was a Chinese philosopher, scholar, and politician of the Song Dynasty. He is considered one of the most important figures in the development of Neo-Confucianism. Zhang Zai was born in Henan Province, China and died in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was known for his philosophical writings, particularly his work on the nature of reality and the human condition.
