It seemed like you guys did come in handle it the right way.
How did you guys handle it to be able to get out
to the lead and play the way you did tonight?
Yeah, I think we actually talked about it this morning.
It's just finding ways to turn that page.
It's going to be pretty hard to match that kind of energy
ever again.
So I thought we did a really good job of just focusing
on the task at hand in front of us.
Played a really responsible first 10, 15 minutes
would put us in a good spot, moving forward.
I asked you the same question to Montreal,
but what is it about your knack for scoring
just insane goals?
I don't know if I would say that.
But it was just a great wallplay by Krebsy
to put a bouncing puck out there.
And fortunately enough that it was able to pop through his feet
and go on the net for me.
That gets a hockey game.
You're going to hit whoever it is.
And you're going to hit him clean.
I mean, it's very rare.
You're going to get an elbow up or anything.
And you hit celebrating.
So you probably knew somebody was coming, didn't you?
Yeah, I mean, he's a very special player, a young guy.
And every once in a while, when you catch somebody,
you're going to have to answer for it.
I wasn't really expecting to have to.
But then when someone's going to come knocking,
then you're better off to just deal with it.
But yeah, a big picture.
Try to be physical on anybody you're on the ice with.
It gives you the best chance to just kind of play your game.
Got another one of your new players in today, Stanley.
What did you think of him in his first game as a Saber?
Because he probably didn't know until maybe mid afternoon
or something that he was going to be able to play.
Yeah, I mean, much nicer playing with him than against him.
He's a big body.
He's heavy, physical, can really lean on the puck.
But then you can see it makes great,
great little touch plays as well.
So we're happy to add him to the D-Core back there.
And then just all around a great game from him.
It seems like Jack Quinn has been working so hard
for his chances in the last few weeks.
So the head goal is going in.
How happy are you guys when he connects not only on 1-3?
Oh, yeah.
I mean, Quinn is one of those guys.
Every practice, every day he's in here in the shooting room
working on his game.
And he has such a knack for scoring, such a gift to be able to do
it.
He can torts his body in ways that I think my back would go out
if I tried to.
And what he can put on the puck is just incredible.
So we're always happy when it's click and form.
