What do you take from something like that? I think it's a learning experience for, you know, we have a lot of undrafted players here. And I think at times they were probably, you know, a bit overwhelmed. I think probably, I'd have to watch it back, but I think some of our, you know, the guys that have played in the AHL on the back end, I think, had a tough night, for sure.

2:03I think, you know, in a game like this, you're, there's going to be mistakes. I thought we worked really hard. I just thought our execution and our puck play, our puck decisions weren't great tonight. I think they were trying hard, but I also think, you know, you look at, you know, the three centers that they had, I mean, Hagen's played in the NHL playoffs. Locke Melis is a point of game player in the American Hockey. They could be in NHL this year and Schmultz is, you know, we didn't have, they wanted a lot of face-offs and they, Schmultz is their third line center in the American League. They got a, those are good team we just played. And so I think it's a learning experience. We'll watch it back. And just, like I said, I thought the guys worked really hard. I just thought our execution and the, you know, the, the one with a young kid coming in junior hockey player,

3:03you two seconds left in the period, those are, those are learning things. You're not going to beat a mop of butter, but I think it's just probably eye opening when you come to a tournament like this and there's really talented players that they had and they could make you pay. Does he like come off and work your way? Are you using their legs to get a vice? And they were getting a vice where they just... Yeah, I think the way I think it's a young, young player. I think that there's sometimes where you try to push too much for... to get up in the play and play offense when you're just make the play that's in front of you. I think they overcomplicated the game at time. You never want to tell a kid to play a simpler game, but I just think some of the puck decisions we made tonight weren't great. You got to go make it up there. Do you like the challenge that provides some of these? Oh, yeah. I mean, you know, he played in the Stanley Cup playoffs. He's a really talented player.

4:03I know him from the national program. I think he was... I'm sure if he asked him, he was pretty quiet in the first period and I think he woke up. I mean, when he ended up on his stick, you give him time in space. He's going to be a really good player for a long time. I know this isn't the AHL, but you think McCarthy has a bit of a physical edge too. Yeah, he does. I thought Gav had a great summer. He saw it in practice. I think he got quicker. I think he got stronger. He played really physical today. I thought he had a solid night. Did you have a stronger physical than you thought? Yeah, I think he is a physical player. You know, he showed that at Michigan State he was in a shutdown role. Both of them, I think, have the ability to play a physical game and they're going to have to, I think. That has to be a part of their DNA when they get to the American Hockey League. Was the plan all long? Did you play the third period?

5:03No, it was not. It was not. We just... You know, I think we're... I thought he made some saves. We gave up a couple breakways on the puck decisions. I think the clear sight ones were just one on the goalie. Those are the ones that let the watch it back, but I think if he asked him, he'd probably want a couple from back. I don't think it was his fault tonight, but we took him out and Boyko came in. I think the new one, you know, 18 years old. Yeah, no, no. We were just talking about it in there. He's going to be a really good junior hockey player. He has a really good hockey sense. He can make plays. I think obviously he has to get stronger. It's a bit overwhelming at times. But no, he's going to be a good player. Is it goal-tuning for tomorrow? Do you plan to dress all three or play two again tomorrow? 6:08We haven't decided what the plan is. How many periods, but we have an idea. It's one of the things you maybe will talk to the guys about tomorrow morning. They gave that goal to them to give a lot of the ball to them. Yeah. You can tell them that get around there. Yeah. It's an opportunity. Yeah, no, no. I think so. I think for some of the guys, I think we have to do a better job of working to get there and not getting pushed out. The guys are bigger, stronger, faster. So it's probably unlike junior hockey where you're going to... The space in the hard areas is harder to get to. So that's definitely the area we'll talk about. Do you think you can just tell this event as a ball change in the sense you first start? Obviously your situation is different. You're a cross-bent, but fewer teams here. It seems like maybe teams who are changing their approach to these tournaments.

7:08Yeah. No, it's a good question. I really don't have a feel on it. I don't. I like that it's here so we don't have to go anywhere that's nice if they keep doing that. But no, I think it's good for the guys to get in games. Like it was before a longer tournament, you know, four games in a short amount of time. I do like the two games. Hey, all right.
