161: Breaking the Mold - Rethinking Success and Redefining Education with Jen Silver

With only five years in the roofing industry, Jen Silver is a relative newcomer compared to many. But in this short period of time, Jen has already made her mark in the Utah roofing community. She began working the phones as an inside sales representative at Roofline Supply, a subsidiary of SRS Distribution. From there she went on to work at a small Utah roofing company as its sales manager. Jen distinguished herself as talented and hard-working, quickly rising through the ranks to become the company’s general manager. Under Jen’s leadership, in less than two years the company nearly doubled its annual sales.

In late 2019, Jen formed her own company, Roofing Utah. Today, Roofing Utah is one of the fastest-growing roofing companies in Utah. It has become “The New Standard in Roofing” through its premier warranties and exceptional customer service. Recently, Jen was the founding member of Women-Owned Businesses of Northern Utah. Through this organization, Jen hopes to help support other women in their efforts to become successful business owners, by offering educational classes and a mentorship program to aspiring female entrepreneurs. Jen prides herself on her work to help eliminate gender barriers for other aspiring women entrepreneurs, particularly in the male-dominated construction industry. When not walking roofs, Jen is the proud mother of four amazing kids and enjoys escaping the roofing world in the beautiful Utah mountains.On this episode, we dive into the transformative power of challenging conventional notions of success and exploring new horizons in education.
