Oh, could this vintage store be any cuter? Right? And the best part? They accept discover.
Accept discover? In a little place like this? I don't think so, Jennifer. Oh yeah, huh.
Discover's accepted where I like to shop. Come on, baby. Get with the times.
Right. So we shouldn't get the parachute pants? These are making a comeback.
I think. Discover is accepted at 99% of places that take credit cards nationwide.

One of the biggest misconceptions about buying a home right now is that you have to wait for
the perfect moment. Perfect rates, perfect timing, perfect market. The truth is that moment doesn't
really exist. A lot of buyers pause because of headlines or assumptions, but every situation is
different. Race change, market shift, and personal goals matter just as much as what's happening
nationally. That's why talking to a local lender can be so valuable. When you contact Dr.
Mortgage, you get paired up with a local lender. That lender will give you your options,
that lender will explain the situation. You can ask your own questions.
That's what it's all about. Get into the closing table as simple and as easy as possible.
Our friends at Stockton Mortgage focus on helping people understand their options, whether you're
ready to buy now, later, or just starting to ask questions. There's no pressure to make a decision,
just a chance to get real information and a clear picture of what's possible. Sometimes the smartest

Welcome to hour two of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt
Jones. Welcome back. It is the Kentucky Select Chevy dealers. KSR pregame show or hour number two
of KSR, whichever you want it to be eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven
seven seven two seven four five two five four. Just got a message from one of my friends starting
to see some of the big blue mist and Nash feel not quite what it is normally, but there are a lot
of Kentucky fans here. It's cool to hear that guy called in right at the end of the first hour.
He's in line with other UK fans waiting to get in for the game today. It's kind of cool to hear
that. I don't know if this is a compliment shit. Somebody writes as a woman, I want to agree with the
guy. It's fine. Ryan's a harmless dirty old man, not a creepy old perv. There's a big difference.
They're really dirty old man creepy old perv. I would fall under the same category under the same
umbrella. She says there's a distinction. Well, that's good, Ryan. Back into compliment, right?
It's kind of a compliment. I don't even know if I even agree with her. Well, you think you're creepy?
I can be a little cringey. Yeah, you can. I think she's trying to say, though,
well, my vote is let's get in none of those categories. Yes. And just be regular. Dakota Johnson
has a new Calvin Klein ad campaign. I saw it. I've seen it. Calvin Klein's all up in the JFK show.
That's my that's my dirty guilty pleasure. That show is awful. It's awful, but it's actually
kind of great. And I feel like, I feel like the, it just reminded me how much better
than 90s were shanning than everything else. Yeah, except for the cigarettes, the cigarettes,
I mean, anti-sigarette, but besides the cigarettes, the 90s were just better. Pop culture was better.
Pop culture is better. Music is better. You name it all across from pre 9-11. But did every
economy was good? Did anybody say that, though, back in my day? I don't know if they realized it
or not. And I think we're going to look back in hindsight and say that pre computers, we didn't
have to worry about being available 24 hours a day. But we're the old men now saying that everything
was good. No, but I think it's true. I think even young people are kind of nostalgic about it.
Just like shanning, when we were young, people were nostalgic about like the 60s. Yeah.
Yeah. Right. They were like, oh, we missed all the great times in the 60s. Right.
I'm going to say the 90s were, before we got addicted to these phones, we still like did face-to-face
things. Yeah. Yeah. But if you wanted to find something out, you had to go to a library,
look it up. But that's okay. We don't need to know all this stuff. Now I can just pull up my
phone and boom. There it is. But maybe we don't need to know everything. Yeah. No way. I
good. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Kentucky and LSU. I mean, let's go to the phone here in just one
second. LSUs without their backup big, Robert Thomas or whatever he's going to be out. He's been
playing well recently. I don't remember if he played well against us, but that gives them one
less big, probably not a huge difference. You feel good? Actually, I do. And that's why I picked Malachi
to be my player of the game. They're, you know, they're a little thin in the front court. And he,
you know, he came coming off the Malachi Miracle shot. First SEC tournament, the kids going to play
well today for Kentucky. Dakota Johnson is Don Johnson's daughter. Yeah. Melanie Griffith and Don
Johnson's daughter. How did I not know that? I don't know. Down up on pop culture, I guess.
We talked about Robert Miller too, right? Not Robert Thomas from LSU. I'm talking about Dakota Johnson.
Robert Miller. You said Robert Thomas. I'm going to go. I'm sorry. I don't keep the LSU roster on my
row of decks. And I don't have a row of decks anymore. And I had one in the 90's and it was good.
It was better. You remember when we played him down there, it was a must win game for them. They
played really well. Now they got nothing to play for. I mean, they're not going to the tournament.
Well, and some people think they're, is our coach getting fired? I think he's probably going to
get fired. Yeah, because they're talking about trying to bring Will Wade back. They bring him back.
Yeah, there, there are some people in LSU that want that. Although, I don't, I think NC State's
probably a better job where he is now. Well, I don't know if you'd bring some back. Who is there?
Who is their coach, Matt McMahon still? Yeah, that's it. He went to his from Murray, right? Yes,
that's right. I do not know how I know that. How do you pull that one out? I don't know.
I'm really surprised I know who else shoes coaches. Let's talk about what happens if we,
we talked earlier about what happens if we win? When do we lose? What's the post game show like
today if we lose? They'll be pock elliptic. They'll be people calling for popes firing
immediately. They will not be happy if they lose to LSU in the first game of the SEC tournament
on a Wednesday. They just, they'll be people that won him fired gone. 16C. LSU is the last seat.
Yeah. Don't you think people will be, you'll get people calling for him and then want you to call
for it? Well, I'm not going to call for it with the tournament next week. And I'm not going to
probably call for it anyway because I don't believe that, but I will say, you know, this would be
another strike because I told you I judged the season on three criteria. He has already
failed or de plused this regular season. One, now we have two and three. And can't, I mean, you know,
if we get to Friday and we lose like you're playing Florida, they might win the national championship.
I'm not going to go crazy. Now it is your fault. You're in a situation where you may have to play
him Friday. But if you lose to LSU in the first round, you know, the well, it is what it is. Now
there's a name got floated around yesterday. It's still not clear to me whether or not Mark Pope's
hiring a GM. Why don't you just come out, but he wants, he will not call it a GM. Yes. He'll
just say we're hiring people to do things. I'm, you know, there's some stubbornness now coming on
this. So there's some guy that people are talking that was, it was at BYU and now's with the
Milwaukee Bucks, but it sounds like he would not be a GM. He would be some sort of analytic
something model kept saying model. He said that three or four times in the past. God's model.
He said the model. Look at the models. Yeah. I don't think we need more models.
It's just it's a glaring emission. If every team's got one except you and St. John's.
Well, yeah, in ripetino, you know, he's one. It wasn't one of the biggest champions,
but it's probably terrible that it drew us right. It's the fact that St. John's got rid of it is
because you know, he's, he's so connected to Rick. Yes. Well, anyway, the guy that they mentioned,
I don't know him. He may be great at it, but it just looks like they're not going to.
I mean, the portal is going to open on what? The portal opens in three weeks, but it's not even
about that. You need like their guys every day who their season is ending. Let me give you an
example. Last last night, who won between was it Sienna and Merrimack? Don't know. I think it was
Sienna Merrimack. Merrimack had a dude that's averaging 24 points a game as a freshman and was
player of the league in that league. I think Sienna beat him. Yeah, they do. So Merrimack,
that guy is now ready to be taught as a free agent. And if he's averaging 24 points a game in
the, in the, as a freshman in that, he's, he's going somewhere. Now, I'm not saying we should
get him. I don't know him, but like teams are going to start contacting him to that. Yeah.
We don't have any place. And we don't have anybody in place. So I don't know if you want the guy
from Merrimack, but I will tell you a freshman at 24 points a game. You got at least look at him
from Miss Mary, Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black. You might, you might want him.
And then there was a kid at the Hofstra game. The MVP of that tournament was a freshman who averaged
26 points a game in the conference tournament. You got it. He's going to go somewhere else. Yeah.
You got to get your, put yourself in position. You got it. And I hope we, I assume we have guys who
know who these people are, but feels like if you're going to have a GM, you'd want to have him.
That's what a GM's job is for Merrimack guys phones ringing today. Yes. So Joe, go for it. Joe.
Joe, go ahead. Hey, Matt. Hey, Matt. I want to give a shout out to, uh, uh, first of
county, uh, who's the third region last night? Who? Grayson County, upset Davis County,
the third. Yeah. Is that a big upset? Well, they beat Davis County. I think it was a favor in
Grayson County. Not only beat them, they're going to win the region. They're coming to rub.
They beat them twice in two weeks. There's only 10 in the state that they've just done the idea.
But let's go. Grayson County wins the last time Grayson County's been to the sweet 16.
2009. Wow. All right. Well, good for Grayson County. They got, yeah, they got, they got beat by
Jared Polson's, uh, West District. Um, uh, well, he's got a, uh, uh, a player committed to
Western next year, Jack Lockston. Uh, well, good for him. He's a pretty good ball player. So,
well, good. We'll bring it. Get them to come by the bar and I'll cheer him on.
All right. We'll do that. Right? Appreciate it. Congrats to Grayson County. You see your North,
North Laurel Beach or Bill County, Bobcat. I saw that. And also, how about shout out Larry
Blondell, his Butler High School where he taught 50 years ago. He talked about it on the show.
And they don't ever go, right? I can't, well, on the, on the moon, may have forgotten one,
but yeah, they're rare to come out of that region. Larry taught math at Butler High School in like
the mid 70s. Got the Larry bump this week. And they play North Laurel on the first,
or, no, they play Hazard. So it's a battle of, uh, Eastern Kentucky, battle of Larry. Butler V
Hazard. Larry, Larry loved that guy. And the fact that he talked about Butler on the show.
Where is Butler High School in Louisville, Shannon? Uh, I don't think I've ever passed it.
What part of town is it in? I don't know exactly. I'm sure I've been there. I probably
played baseball there back in high school, but I don't know where to look it up. I don't know
what street that's on. DG. Go ahead. Digest Crumbs Lane. Well, where's Crumbs Lane?
I mean, you want me to get you an athlete? Oh, it's in Shavley. Butler is in Shavley. Yeah,
there you go. I didn't know that. Yeah. Shavley's its own thing. You know, Shavley's like,
you got Shavley, like, you got to know people. You got to be tough to live in Shavley. Yeah,
you can't. Shavley's a different, different kind of place. Lively, Shavley. Lively. They call it
Lively. Shavley. Yeah. First time I moved to Louisville. I was looking for a sports bar.
And I looked it up and it said, go to this place. I think it was called Hoops. Oh, yeah. Yeah,
Hoops on Great Lane in Shavley, isn't it? I think so. And I went and I was like, oh, you're
amongst them. Okay. Welcome to Hoops. KG. Go ahead. What's up, fellow? This DG. I must
say DG. Go ahead. That says DG. Go ahead. Coming into Nashville right now with my dad,
I excited about today. Maybe we can get to win hopefully. I had a little, would you
rather question for you for you all? For me, my buddies, we do a podcast called Bluegrass
State of Mine. Shout out to that. But you can't give a shout out to your own podcast. You can't
go. You can't go. Shout out to myself. You can't do that. But go ahead. Well, it's more
stuff for the other guys. But anyways, would you rather us run the table this weekend weekend?
And when five straight games and when the SEC championship and get bounced the first round
of the NCAA tournament, or would you rather us lose today and make it to the sweet 16 and
get bounced of sweet 16? I think you have a case for both. I think that's an interesting question.
I appreciate. I'm taking the SEC tournament. If you're telling me sweet 16 now, if you go me,
if you go one more round and we say elite eight, then I'm going to take the elite eight.
But for the sweet 16, give me the SEC tournament five straight in five days. I think it would be
a fun run. It would be one we remember. I'll take it. The fact we've not won the tournament since
what 2018 was Shay. We make five wins and five days and win the tournament. I'm taking that.
We went to the sweet 16 last year. This year's team's not going to win a title in the NCAA tournament.
If we win the SEC title, I'm taking it. If you told me elite eight, I'd take the elite eight.
We were. But I think if we're in order to do that, we're probably going to have to beat
Florida, Tennessee, and maybe Arkansas back to back. Awesome. Let's do it. Can you imagine what
Nash will be like? Be crazy. It'd be like lively, shy. That hoops. That hoops.
Still open. Yeah, I think they are. This team winning any kind of championship, I think you would
take. I think most fans would agree with us too. Don't you? Have you been to hoops? I have.
Yeah. Yep. Man, man, I have to go back some time. I literally when I first moved to Louisville in 2006,
first place I went. Lively shot. I think I used to host an event out there. Yeah, that's the
kind of place it would have. I think they're back in the day. Oh, well, they weren't there. That was
I wasn't there that day. I think it was that was slip and slide bikini slip and slide. I was the
host. That was a great gig. Shannon was in the bikini spring is sprung. And that means you may be

People very like technical about their what's shyly shyly and what's south end.
I consider everything south basically shyly. Right? Yeah, I mean when it says south side next to
hoops on a map. It's clear. Yeah, close enough. I'm trying to be confident. I like that sky.
It's close to Dixie highway. You're in shop. Yeah. Now people are saying no, no, it's south end.
That's like the difference when people go where in Belk County, if you're in clear creek and
straight creek. Yeah, still all creek. So what's the dividing line? People have to
remove a lot of people man. They take the parts of their town seriously. They do. Don't they? Yeah,
they do. Yeah, I mean, you you're if you're in London or you're in J town or you're in
Saint Matthews or you're in the Highlands or you're in PRP like everything. People take their
section of town. Yeah, part of it's because she and they all have like their own fire departments.
Oh, yeah. And their own police departments. And so it's so different. It's so we like you don't
do that in Lexington. You're not like no, I'm tights Creek. Well, people live on the in Dixie highway
like on Dixie highway for some reason or like really just like don't don't mess up where my
hometown is. Don't you know, you get to get it right. I love Dixie highway. Yeah. But Dixie highway,
you it's a different city than everywhere. It really is. No, it really is. Like you're you
would barely know you're in Louisville. If you're if you're out on Dixie highway. So what's the
high school out there? You're talking about that in the south side area. Well, Irrecoil. Yeah,
right. I think this sells as close. Is it isn't fair day all out there? Close. Yeah. So
and hoops. Yeah. But don't say hoops is in shop. Eight five nine two eight two twenty two eighty seven
one person writes. If we were to win the SEC tournament, who would be the MVP? Well, oh,
but you know, sometimes in the SEC tournament, you get your Dominique Hawkins, you get your random
guy. Who's a random guy you think could have a big tournament? Colin Chandler. He'd be my pick.
Yeah, I don't know if he's random, but yeah, I mean, he could put up big point games.
Mm-hmm. They get taught. I mean, random would be somebody like
yellow Vitch. Yeah. I'd be shocked if he were the MVP. Yeah. Well, not MVP, but if yellow
Vitch made all first team because he scored double digits every game or something. So who would be
the one guy outside of yellow Vitch? Well, there's only, we only play nine guys. So you run it
out of, if we can't pick stars or yellow Vitch, then we're basically running out of people because
Jasper and Noah won't play enough. Yeah. So you'd hand them out. Now, don't tell me BG. Malachi.
Don't stop with BG. He would be random. BG would be the most random. Here, I'll tell you what,
let's do a bet because I would like this to happen. Give me something to do if BG goes double digits
in the game. All right. What's something I could do? Shave your head. Not to see it. No. That's
I have enough problem with that as it is. I'm not shaving. Fix us all a dinner. Oh, come on.
Come on. That's not a prize for you. I got it. You got to get on the mechanical bull that
kid rocks bar on Broadway. All right. I'll do that. Yeah. If BG gets double digits, the
mechanical bull. Wow. So I'm taking the cowboy hat. It's red. You got to his Nashville. Yeah.
If you see me out in the cowboy hat, you know, the party started. Murf. Go ahead, Murf.
Hey, Matt, how are you? Doing good. Just want to clarify for the US not to advance on to the
tournament. Exico has to score five or more runs for them to advance over Italy to win.
Today, I have to score five runs. Five or more, yes. Okay. So we need, so for us to go, we need
there either Mexico to lose or to score less than five runs. Yes. Got you. Okay.
And then my next thing is, this is Nashville. We have a tag away. If you're scared, go to church.
We're beating Florida. Well, listen, I'm going to be, I appreciate the call. I'm going to
pick us to win every game because it's Nashville and it's time for us to take that city back. But
first, we got to be delicious. Let's just beat the first game first. You know, if we were,
if we had gotten South Carolina or Ole Miss, I'd feel good about it. But we got the one team that,
I mean, they outplayed us in that game. We beat them. They did. We kind of, we stole that one.
Like I said, that game meant so much to them at that point. They had to get a win. Now,
they got a lame duck coach. Nobody cares. They're not going to the NCAA tournament. I think we're
catching them at a good time. There's another high school. It's out there. Doss.
It's out in the South end. Yeah. That's high school. You never hear anyone mention. No. Do you? Do
you ever hear Doss? No, he may have ever went to Doss. No. I've no idea. I've never heard Doss
may be the most anonymous Louisville school. Isn't it, Shannon? I mean, I've heard of it. I know what
exists. But I don't know about it. Tell me something you know about Doss. Nothing exists. I don't know
anything about it. Yeah. Mike, go ahead, Mike. Hey, I think whoever's best mentally prepared for
this game today wins. And I believe that nod goes to LSU. I'm picking LSU. I think this team,
this coaching staff, you know, we lucked out winning down there. And I think they want this game big
time. I think they want it more than us. And I think they're mentally prepared. But, Jeremy,
we have not more than us. Let me ask you a question. Give me one fact that makes you think they want
it more than us. Tell me your LSU want to knowledge. Well, I just they we stole that game from them
down there. But that has nothing to do with how much they want it. Like where are you getting that
information? It's because I think it's my own feeling. I'm their coach. This is probably
his last game. I think they want to win this one for the coach to because they want to beat us
bad because we beat them down there at their place again. Well, I think, yeah, well, I think sometimes
it's easy when we're down on our team to just assume that, you know, the other teams can be
much more maybe they will. I don't know. But like, let's be honest, none of us have any idea.
What LSU basketball is doing right now? No. Could we say the same thing about our team? No,
we know about our team. We don't know anything about the LSU. There might be 0.1% of the listeners
here that really know the LSU basketball team. Like, we don't fall. We don't know. For honest,
if we're honest, we don't know. It's going to be about us. If we play well, we will win.
If we don't, then we give them a chance to win. But like, we don't know what LSU's
thinking going into this game. Do we? Do you know? That's how I feel. Our team has been
so unpredictable. I don't know about. I know something about Dawes High School now. What?
Derek Anderson went to Dawes. That's right. Wow. How did he really? That's right.
DA went to Dawes. Thanks. Did he know the sweet 16 when he was here or when he was there? I don't
know. Yeah. They went there. Good call. All right. We'll take a break. We're right back. It's the

make them pay. Now more Kentucky sports radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.

I mean, we've do this is all about South South Louisville. I'm glad to be told that I was right.
Shannon Hoops is moved. The one you and I went to was somewhere else. Maybe that's what we're thinking
about. The one now is out there next to the airport. And I believe that that was close to where
the plane crashed. Oh, yeah. Great lane, right? Yeah. I think that just recently, I think that
was very close to to that place. We're getting to that age where you just go didn't there used to be
a pharmacy over there. There used to be a shoe store. I used to laugh at my my parents and
grandparents because they would do that. They go. Yeah. It used to be where a pH cable was.
And I'd be like, I hope I don't do that. Here we are. But then you can't help it. You can't
help it. Hoops used to be over there. You can't help it. I asked where the problem
was. Sorry. It's the SEC tournament. We're playing on Wednesday. What do you want from me?
KS bar opens at 11 and the game will be on at 1230. I know Nick Roush and Adam Luck will be there.
They can answer all your football questions there. They're coming from spring practice to there.
Spring practice happened. Justine Will Stein said 15 practices. Every practice they introduce a
new set so that at the end of it they will have introduced all of their sets. So they've timed it
to where each day they learn something do. And then the next day they go over what they learn and
then teach them another thing. And that each day they will slowly build up to teach the entire
offense and defense over the course of the 15 days. What you got to do when you're starting from
scratch, starting something new. I love what he said yesterday too. They're going to have
scrimmages. They're going to play with tackling with tackling. Do you like that? I do like that.
That's all old school spring football. You have to scrimmage every Saturday. We're going to say that
if somebody gets hurt. Probably not, but I'm paying it right now. We're going to have a real spring
game. You know, he keeps talking about that and they're going to play. This is not going to be
two in touch and then they're going to tackle it in the spring. Can't play scared. As you know,
if you're scared, go to church. Scared go to church. 859280 2287 Marshall. Go ahead Marshall.
Sounds like Mike needs to go to. I agree. I'm on I-40. I'm on I-40. I just got out in class,
taking a midterm. Definitely failed it, but we were locked in. I'm 0 and 7 in my last
Kentucky collegiate basketball and football games, but it changes today. We've lost the last seven
games you've been to. I was at the Vandy game in Nashville. I was at the Louisville game this year.
I was at the football game of Texas Ole Miss and Tennessee lost a Bama last year,
next year's tournament. I'm missing one more. I can't remember what it was, but today Colin
Chandler is going for five threes. Yeah, he's talking on everybody. Always going for 30. It's going
to be a hell of a night. Go, Kat. Go, Big Blue. C-A-T-S, Kat, Kat, Kat, Kat. Love it. Love it.
I say, you know, you do not beat a Mike team. H straight times. No, you don't.
Eight times a chunk. If we lose, we're blaming that guy. If we use it, you're a fault, though, Mike. Marshall.
Same to Marshall's fault, too. We're going to be doing the post game show in Bowen Green
and then driving to Nashville after that. So we'll get to Nashville tonight. Remember,
tomorrow we aren't 10 roof winner lose. It's right. Winner lose. We're lose. So we want you to be
there. It'll either be fun, getting you ready for the game against Missouri, or it'll be tears and
beers with Drew. But we want you to be ready tomorrow because we're going to be there either way,
starting, uh, what, what, what, what, what, what do you do? Are you doing the pre show tomorrow?
What's happening tomorrow? We're doing the same thing. If Kentucky wins, we're doing the same thing
tomorrow. Kentucky wins tomorrow. So then it'll be. And then if we lose, I don't know what we're
doing. I guess we'll do the pre show and then the KSR show. I guess. Yeah. But either way,
nine o'clock, which will be eight o'clock central, you're there. Yeah. Yes. And we play Missouri.
Hopefully we win. It's very complicated. This whole thing. Mike, go ahead, Mike. How many
mics do we have? Go ahead, Mike. Yeah, you're going to be hating the mics today. I tell you that.
But I'll tell you, I was in your lesson. I'm so sick of it. Oh, man, which would you
rather suck less at? You know, I'm just going to tell you, man, this is Kentucky. You could have
took us in the SEC tournament against the field throughout history and made money. If he can't get a GM
and he don't do what he needs to do, then get his ass out of town. Good bye.
Well, I mean, a lot of people will say the same thing. Those are strong words.
But also, I understand what he means. Let's go to camp. Go ahead, Kim.
We're coming into Nashville. We have tickets for today. Where were those tickets that you
said for the host session were 348? It was on StubHub. StubHub. Great. Thank you. Go cats. We're
going to win today by 20. Appreciate it. I mean, hopefully they're still there on StubHub. But
there are others for like 38370. You know, Mike, right. They're Kentucky's one what 31 SEC
tournament titles. And the second place team is Alabama with eight. This is our tournament.
If you look at the graphic of SEC tournament winners, it's amazing to see all the Kentucky
logos. But we don't have one recently. Not since 2018, right? Yeah. It's a long drought.
Hamden. What's up, Hamden? Hey, my boss is betting the money that I wouldn't call
into the show. So I told him I wouldn't ask a question. We got to ask my question, Hamden.
My question is, who do you think has to step up like Marcus Lee did there in our run in 2014?
I know we've talked about Brandon Garrison. But to me, it's yellow. If he can agree with
the day. For me, it's him to like Andrew Carter. For me, it's me. It changes the offense.
Because with him, here's the thing about yellow. With him, then you have a shooting threat outside,
which allows you to play Dia Bata if you need to malachy if you need to. And Garrison
doesn't have to play if he's not playing bad. When you know which is hitting shots,
it changes the entire ability of our team to score. Now he can't be a dud defensively,
which he is sometimes. So he's got to like be decent enough defense so that we can have him to
make threes. Completely, completely. He'd got the length to do it. It's just he likes his footwork
sometimes is what I say watching at home. Yeah. And I appreciate the call. He's actually sometimes
can stay with his man outside. He just gets bullied inside. And that's where he's got to get better.
You know what he said after the game of the day, kind of called out a couple of his teammates and
kind of called him out for being selfish, kind of called out, you know, fatigue is not a factor.
Okay. Now's your chance. But step up and help put that team in your shoulders.
All right. It's Wild Eggs Wednesday. It is. Which means you have a word. Ryan said his word.
And I was like, that's terrible. So I picked the word. Yes, you did to make it harder.
What are we putting it on? It's on Twitter under KSR the show. All right. It's going up now.
First response wins $50 from Wild Eggs. It was a word, Shannon, that Ryan couldn't even spell.
Oh, boy. Are we sure it's going to have the right letters and the right amount of letters?
Well, that's a good point, Martin. Did you check the spelling before you did it?
I know what happened last week. Yeah. I mean, just another of our horrible contests.
I think just that we just do bam. It would be really easy. I think we should have gone with that.
You know, but you guys want to get it. So Wild Eggs Wednesday, that's your chance. It just went up.
It's Wednesday at KS Bar. So we watched the game. You could also get dollar wings.
I better be a great environment to today. Go out there. Everybody's got to get up and go.
And I keep getting confused what time it is. It's 10.45 because we started early, right?
And we're getting in a car here in 15 minutes and heading down the road.
Heading down the road. We're if they lose on the way. We can't. Don't even don't even say it.
No, we're not turning around. We have to be there. Yeah. It's time to score big.
This month at Don Franklin, over 6,000 new and certified pre-owned vehicles go the distance
with Don Franklin's powertrain protection slam dunks deals all month long. Don Franklin auto.
If you need parts need replacing, it's down Franklin's court. Bigger online. Don Franklin driven
by family. Let's go to Joe. Go ahead, Joe. Yeah, Matt. Dolls high school. We had a player that
played for us in 96. That went to Dolls high school. We transferred for more hours. Hey,
we mentioned Eric Anderson. We mentioned Eric Anderson. Yeah. Okay. I was just wondering. I didn't
hear that. Okay. Thank you. Appreciate it. Joe, go ahead, Joe. Hey, Matt, how you doing? Good.
I'm the last. I'm the last guy to take up for Latino. I still can't stand them. But it's worth
noting that he's going to hire another GM. That GM was fired by the university after like a month
long investigation into some weird financial stuff to save up. Okay. I didn't know. So he said he's
going to hire another guy. Yeah. Yeah. That's all I didn't know. Latino hired had left
in a brass gun or a little bit of health issues. Flash. He was about to get fired. And in
Latino essentially said, I can't talk about it because it wasn't my decision. The university fired
them. But we're going to be looking as soon as it sees men. Didn't know that makes sense. All right.
I'm actually glad to hear that. I appreciate the call. I mean, not that he's still money. But
that maybe that'll make Pope get one. We'll take a break. 8592802287. Come back. It's Kentucky
select Chevy dealers. KSR pregame. We're lost. It feels like we're going round in circles. I'm
going to ask that man for directions. Hi there. We're trying to get to the state fairgrounds.
Well, you're going to take a left at the old oak tree at this here road. No, I'm just kidding.

Welcome back. Taggy select Chevy dealers KSR pregame show. I just I can't get this geography right.
So the the bar next to the airport for the plane crashed is Stooges, which is apparently the
sister bar to hoops. Yeah. Stooges. I've been to all of them. So where's the new hoops now?
Now I'm totally confused. Strawberry Lane, right? Strawberry Lane. Yeah. Which is nice, I guess.
But I'm not going to daresay what part of town it's.
Kentucky's now a nine and a half point favorite. Opened six and a half now up to nine and a half.
It's a lot of points for a team you had to have a miracle to beat earlier this season.
Yeah, but you are on their floor. They as you you've said many times, they had a lot to play for,
but now they're not they're not making the tournament. So they got less to play for now.
I want their season ends today and he's ends today. If we beat them, they can all get in the portal.
And they probably will. They probably will. Chris, go ahead, Chris.
Matt, this is Chris Harvey. I am a proud dog five school grad. All right. I wanted I wanted to give you
some facts. Okay. Quickly. Opened in open in 1967, about 1100 students. It's nickname is the
dragons. Colors burgundy and gold. Famous alumni. Dwight Witton at W.H.A.S.
Oh wow. Larry Burkhead. Larry Burkhead. The father of the yet that's right. Larry Burkhead. I
remember him from the Derby parties. Remember him. Shannon. He was married to Anna Colesmith. Yeah,
or go ahead and get you had a baby with her. Yes. Him pelkey to 1988. I miss basketball. I think the
girls were lost in the state championship game in 1988 and basketball and the boys had been in
the state finals twice. Nineteen eight in 2014. So I just. There you go. My school there. Well,
there you go. I appreciate you giving some. Dawes facts. Dawes dragons. Good neck. It's a good
name. Appreciate to call. That's a good name. Dawes dragons. If I were open to high school and I
would have no reason to ever do that. If I were going to do that, I would want to give it a unique
nickname. Like I like last night. Hofstra's nickname is the pride. It's a good name. Hofstra pride.
What's mom? I don't know the long island. The long island are the dolphins. I don't know what mom
is. It should be the mammoths. Monmouth mammoths. That would be great. That would be great.
I think long because long island. They do the fins up. Have you seen that? He's from Long Island.
He's shaking. Did you know that? They now they've started this new thing where where long island where
they they're about to shoot a free throw and they go fins up and they all make the safety thing
on top of their head. I can't I kind of like that. I do too. It's really stupid. But it's good.
Madison. Go ahead, Madison. Rod Strickland coach is long island. Former Kentucky assistant.
They're in the turn of it. Yes. Look, Dave Baker just in here yelling like you don't even have a
microphone, Dave. By the way, we we we support you, Dave. One hundred percent. Let's go, Madison.
Hey, y'all. We're in Nashville. We're hot. We're so excited. But honestly, still can't get that
head that game out of my head in 23 when we lost. It was terrible. Last time it's a game on my
very natural and we lost. But we're going to win this one. We're already breaking the
appreciated Madison. We're breaking the mic streak. We're breaking the Madison streak.
And I think a woman named Mikey Madison won the Oscar last year for a nor it's all coming to get.
There we go. And remember eight minus five is three. No eight minus three is five five and five
eight minus three is five. That's it. Kelly, go ahead, Kelly.
Kelly, we lost Kelly. Kelly should have had some cornbread hymn. Go to cornbread hymn.com
promo code KSR. Cornbread hymn is where you get gummies and topical oils to rest and relax and
get yourself ready for your night and get sleep. It is cornbread hymn and cornbread hymn.com
There's no better way to get yourself ready to relax and sleep than cornbread hymn. Let's go
to Jared. Go ahead, Jared. Hey, Matt. So earlier this week, they released the All Americans list and
like many Kentucky fans, I noticed that Jack Sol is on that list along with Caleb Wilson.
Yes. And it was a little bit of salt and a wound knowing that we were about to get both of those
guys and then we didn't. Correct. My question is Mark Pope seeing that he lost two all Americans.
I mean, at what point does he say, I can't do this recruiting thing. I need a little bit of extra
help. I'm getting a GM. What point does he say that? I mean, it all depends on how a person
internalizes mistakes, right? So I appreciate the call. For me, when I don't have some sort of
success, I sit there and think, okay, what could I have done differently? What went wrong?
That's one way to do it. The other way to do it is to blame things and act like, well, not my fault.
It was this or their agent or this team or whatever. I think it's much more productive to look at
yourself and not beat yourself up but go, what could I do differently? Or you can say it's everybody
else's fault. I think the best leaders internalize and try to make it better. I hope Mark's one of
those. I think he kind of is, but let's see. The color asked when should he have done it. It should
have done it over a year ago. Have somebody in place to do it. He should. But he, but you know,
my view is I don't really care how he manages his program so long as it works. The problem is right
now in terms of getting players, it's not working. Yeah. So Mike, go ahead, Mike.
Okay. I called in earlier and I got cut off, I guess, but here's my question post. Do you get
what makes you think that this team is going to be mentally prepared for this game today when they
haven't really been except for a few games this year? What makes you think they're going to be prepared?
I don't know. Nothing. Nothing prepared with water, but they were prepared for two games
against Tennessee and they were prepared for a game against Vandy. I don't know. I'm not, I mean,
I can't say that there were reasons why they were prepared for that game. They were motivated to
beat those. I appreciate the call. I think they're probably motivated. This is the tournament.
I got it now. If you're not motivated for this, what are you going to be motivated for? I mean,
I don't know that they're going to be motivated. I have no idea. But I also don't know that they won't
we have no way of knowing this team is completely unpredictable. Yeah. That's what I was saying. I
know. There's no way to know what team you're going to get tonight tomorrow. There's just no way
to know. They could come out light out today and then stink it up tomorrow. You just don't know
what this team is going to be like. With that said, it's time to be a game for draft Kings, bet $5,
you win $200 on draft Kings, go to DK, get the app, promo codes KSR. I'll start with you,
Shannon, since you're not usually on the Kentucky select Chevy dealers KSR pregame. What's the score?
What's the score? I think Kentucky wins, but I think it's going to be close. I'm going to say
cats win 87 83. All right. Here in VP. Well, on our group chat, I picked the bang this
twin. The bang this twin. It's all right. Perfect. Ryan, I think it's going to be a close game.
And I like the under in this game on point total. So I'm going to know 74 73. I think it's like
a one point rock fight most of the game kind of ugly game most of the game. Malachai Marino carries
over in the Nashville against LSU Malachai Marino. All right. I'm going to say Kentucky 80 to 72
with the Nashville theme. I'll take what's the what's the one bar that's not a new country bar.
They're Roberts. Is that the last one left from back in the day? Tootsies. And that's still
though kind of legends. We're 10 roof guys though. Sorry, 10 roofs is the MVP because we will be there
tomorrow at 9 a.m. at 10 roof. We hope to see you there. 9 a.m. tomorrow Eastern eight central.
If we win, if we lose, you're still coming. It's mandatory. That's right. Post game show for us
will be somewhere in bowling green. We'll see you later. This has been the Kentucky select
Chevy dealers KSR pregame. Let's win this game cat. This is Chelsea handler from deer Chelsea.
After the big game like most people, I kept thinking about the commercials. And there was one that
stayed with me. It was from the blue square alliance against hate. And it wasn't loud or flashy.
It showed a Jewish kid being targeted at school. And another student who chose not to ignore it.
As someone who was Jewish, that moment felt very real to me. Not dramatic, just familiar.
And what struck me was how clearly it showed that hate doesn't always announce itself.
But the impact is still huge. If you saw the blue square spot during the big game,
it's worth thinking about. And if you want to show support, sharing the blue square is one small
way to do that. This episode is brought to you by Choiceology, an original podcast from Charles
