Welcome to our two of Kentucky sports radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt Jones.
Welcome back. I'm number two. Kentucky sports radio 825928287 text machine 772 7745254 the KSR
golf scramble is now on sale for Lexington. It is on sale starting 11 o'clock the link. Let's see
Drew do you mind tweeting out the link until I can do it after the show. All right Drew Frank. It's on Kentucky sports radio.
It's also on Kentucky sports radio dot com. So if you would like to play is always fun this year.
It's at the UK club, which I think is a great course to have it at in Lexington. Two different
courses playing the event. If you've never played in it, it's one of the most fun things we do all
year. The Lexington one is especially exciting because there's a ton of people and it's just it'll
be at the end of May. I think it's May 29th. I believe is the date. So check in. Get your team and
play. It'll sell out. So don't don't be don't waste your time. But go that go and join us.
Like I said, great day for KSR fans and always the Lexington one, especially. I always have
special guests. So make sure to sign up and look forward to seeing you out there at the end of
May for the KSR golf scramble. We a couple questions coming in here. One person writes Matt, I
understand about Shay and Kason. It is what it is. But people need a place to go when their
career is over. That's when all these guys embrace Kentucky. Ryan, I totally agree with that. You
know, you get what you get one school and I don't think like, you know, how many times do we see
Derek Rose at a Kentucky game, right? Like he is. His school is Memphis. So I do think
ultimately these guys, when it's over, they pick the school they went to because they will be
beloved there forever. I mean, it would be weird for Kason Wallace to show up in an Arkansas
game in 30 years. The people would be like, what are you doing here? You know, so it'll be
would be Kentucky. I think as they get older, like I said earlier, it kind of soaks in more because
they come back and they feel that love. We even heard from guys like Calil Whitney who kind of
left kind of a little shadow of controversy. He comes back and still here. He loves this place
here. So I think maybe as time goes on, Kason Wallace will come back, feel the love and become more
part of our family again. Another person writes Matt, you've gone a long time without commenting
on the fact that the president denied your request to come on the radio to talk about Mitch
Barnhart's contract. They did UK denied and said President Capeludo would not come on. I
asked about having him on to talk about the I thought, by the way, it was 1.8 million. I talked
to a spokesman for UK yesterday. I actually think Drew was more money than that because they did
not add, so the WKYT initially reported that they added $150,000 a year in salary and they reported
that it added $250,000 bonus. UK tells me they did not add the bonus, so take that $250 away,
but they actually added Drew two years to his contract, which I thought it was just one.
So if you do the math there, that ends up being around $2.1 million of extra money.
So I offered to have President Capeludo on to be questioned about it and they have denied the
request. I asked them last Monday or last Tuesday and just heard back from them yesterday.
I am told they are doing an interview with another show on another station,
which I'll let everybody make whatever comment they want about whether or not it makes sense to go
on a show, Shannon, that honestly I didn't know existed until I was told they were going on it.
That's not even talking trash. I didn't even know that show existed.
So if they want to go on a show where their minds will go open the window and scream outside,
that's fine. But you can make your own determination why they wouldn't want to face questions here,
but nevertheless that's the response I got.
Is that impression? What are you hiding? Why won't you come on and talk about? Why are you hiding?
Well, it is what it is. They don't have answers. That's what's happening.
Yeah, I mean, what are you going to say?
I mean, what are you going to say? Like, and I think that's part of, I'm told they're going to do
some media and that's fine. But the question is, are you going to do media where you're asked
questions or not? I would ask questions. I think people know that and so they chose not to.
But it's inarguable that this is the biggest platform. That's not, there's no way to debate
that. So if you want to get your story out, this is clearly the best place to do it.
If you don't, well, that's, I mean, that's ultimately your choice. UK and Santa Clara. I put
out that video yesterday Drew saying, why are we all acting like we're scared of Santa Clara?
And it felt like most people I think agreed with me. I feel better about the game today
than I even did yesterday. I don't understand everybody's fretting. Don't get me wrong.
We could still definitely lose because this team has shown they can lose to a lot of teams.
But we are better than them. And if we play the way we should, we will win.
Drew, is that how you feel going into it? I feel pretty good. You know, having the lowest
point spread of the opening round isn't the most exciting. There's one other game that was a
one and a half were next as the tightest point spread for all games. I mean, there were other
two and a half's, but two and a half, there's only one spread that was one and a half. So we're,
we're right there is what the desert thinks about it. But I still just feel like as a fan base,
we're, we're, we're being a little too cautious because we've been hurt so much recently. This is
Santa Clara. The, yeah, they played Gonzaga three times and they lost all three and they beat Santa
St. Mary's, which is a great team. But but they all net. They haven't really been challenged. And I
think even though we're pretty disappointed in Kentucky, running that gauntlet of the SEC that they
just did. I feel like they played pretty well in all three games. The SEC tournament just could
make shots on Friday. This should be a game Kentucky handles this. I mean, this is a logo game.
If we show up intimidated at all, that's a problem. You have to be prepared to beat a team from the,
the third place team in the West Coast Conference in your Kentucky. That is a game you have to win.
And it should be an excuse. Well, I don't care how many threes they take that you would lose in
the first round of this team. So I have concerns about round two, but I am not looking ahead. But I'm
also not panicking because Santa Clara is in front of us. Yeah, I mean, what I, I, I understand that
we lost to Oakland and say peers, but that was not Mark Pope. And I know we've lost a bunch of games
this year. But correct me if I'm wrong. Is every team that's beat us this year? Are they in the
tournament? Am I correct about that? Not Auburn. But Auburn is the only one that they were the first
team out, right? Yeah. Yeah. So I mean, Saint Peter, excuse me, uh, Saint Santa Clara. Don't say
that name in March. Santa Clara has lost to Loyola Chicago to New Mexico and to Arizona state.
And as far as wins they have over tournament teams, they have two St. Mary's. That's it. They beat
St. Mary's twice. But they lost to Xavier. Or excuse me, they beat Xavier. They beat Nevada.
And the only major conference team they've beaten is Minnesota, who I think came in last place
in the big, in the big 10. So, you know, again, could we lose? Of course, we could lose.
But the fretting about it, Ryan, just doesn't make any sense to me.
Well, we're gun shy because of what has happened the last couple of years. I mean,
I went to three different places yesterday and heard the same thing.
Well, Santa Clara is huge a lot of threes and you're a great off-witching buddy.
But Shannon, you said this in the preset. Like, who's watched them? Yeah, all of a sudden.
Real bodies of Santa Clara expert. I hear you. I'm so tired. We don't match up well with Santa
Clara. If we don't match up well with Santa Clara, then who do we match up well with? Tell me,
the same people who were vaccine experts and who were weather experts have become Santa Clara
experts. That's true. Very true. You haven't watched them play a second. Yeah,
haven't watched them play. Like, when they say they shoot threes well,
my question is, do you think we shoot threes well? Because we shoot the same percentage they do.
So, who shoots threes well? They shoot the exact same percentage we do.
So, I mean, unless you think we just light up the nets, Drew, I don't know how you can say that.
Well, they rebound well. Well, our rebound differential is greater than theirs and we play better teams.
And those teams that are playing, are they better defensively than Kentucky is?
Those teams, they're shooting well against. They're not shooting against SEC caliber teams.
I mean, if our rebound differential is better than theirs and we play better teams,
how can you look at me in the face and say they're a really great rebound team?
Now, that doesn't mean they won't beat us. It doesn't mean that they that they aren't good.
But when did we get so scared as this fan base? And you can't just say, well, I've been let down
or Mark Pope's not a good coach. Some of it is also like, you walk in this building like
you're a Kentucky fan. We don't walk in and go, oh, Santa Clara, come on.
I can't believe I agree with you. If you want to be nervous about, I would stay fine.
But this is Santa Clara.
And I would rather play their style of basketball than a team that wants to just come in and
turn it into a rock fight and play in the 40s. If they want to get up and down and play in
transition and shoot, okay, I think that's a better matchup for Kentucky. Now, sure,
they're guys, I mean, they have three all conference first team players. I mean, they deserve some
respect. And if those guys get hot and shoot 50% from three, sure, maybe we're going home.
But I'm not walking into this with nightmares of Santa Clara Broncos in the first round of
this whole time. How many of our guys, if they played in the West Coast conference, wouldn't be
first team all America or first team all conference or whatever it is they have.
First of all, I think don't they have like 10 guys on the first team? Okay, so they got three of
that's nice. You think all way would be first team in the West Coast conference? Yep.
You think Aberdeen would be first team in the West Coast conference?
Probably. You think Moreno would. You think Chandler would.
Like, there'd be a lot of our guys would be if they played in that conference.
It's just I don't get I don't understand the being afraid. It's the doom and gloom.
I get frustrated. Everyone should be frustrated. But there is a moment that when you're playing
Santa, they haven't been to the tournament, Shannon since Steve Nash played. That was 30 years ago.
That was 30 years ago. If they win, it's a disaster. It's jack gulky. It may not be jack gulky,
but like it's a disaster. But to be scared of them, you know, I want to be like Marlon Brando
and a godfather and smack and go smash, you know, snap out of it. All right, I'm done.
Now, we'll say if I may pay them one compliment. Okay.
They're forward. The freshman graves. If he would like to move to Lexington this time.
I'm for it. He's great. That's a guy. He's gonna. I'm not. I wrote this on the board.
People thought it was crazy. He's gonna. He's gonna be like a Yaxel type transfer player.
I'm not saying he's good as Yaxel, but his phone's gonna ring a lot. And he'll command close to him
out as money as Yaxel. I think he will be one of the hottest, hottest portal names this spring.
Pope even said he's gonna be a lottery pick in a couple of years. So when you're watching Alan Graves,
maybe, you know, in the back of your mind, think, Hey, that'd be a fun guy to have on our team.
He's there. He's our toughest matchup. And he's the one you've got to, you got to watch.
Because he, I think he's averaging what 13 points a game. And he's a four. It's going to be like
Diabate is going to have to play on him. I can already see that he'll have six points in the
first time out and what switch defenders on him. He's really good. And he might be the one
place that they have a positional advantage on us. I will take the bet, though, Shannon, on
whether he's a lottery pick with Mark Pope. He didn't even start going record. What'd you say?
He's the six man of the year. He doesn't start, but he does do everything well. He's good.
I love Mark Pope, but I'm going to, I'll take the bet on him being a lottery pick.
I'll go ahead and take the money on that. But he is very, very good. Who's up next?
Let's go to Wes. Wes, go ahead, Wes.
Wes.
Yeah. Good morning. I had a question. I know there's one round being played in San Diego.
Are those players going to have to play these jock packs like they did to the Super Bowl?
Are they going to have to do what?
Hey, the jock packs. You don't do that. You don't do that for college basketball. Your,
your, your rev share is it based on the where the game is.
Okay, I just, I just wonder because in the NFL, in the NFL, you get paid by game.
That's how the NFL works. So you get your salaries like 20 million dollars,
but it's actually paid week to week by game, which is why that happens.
Okay, got you. That makes sense.
And there's like a Super Bowl bonus. I appreciate the call that you get for the Super Bowl,
which is why you have to pay that. That's not true in college. It's actually not even true
in the pro sports. It was unique because you get money for winning the Super Bowl,
which is why that story about the jock packs. And by the way, they made a big deal about it in
California, but it happens wherever the Super Bowl's played. Right. If there's, if there's a
tax where the Super Bowl's played, you pay it. It's just people made a big deal about it because
the taxes are higher in California. Serve pros and number one choice and clean up in restoration.

Text lift to 32 32 32. Text lift to 32 32 32. Lift to 32 32 32 32.
Welcome back. Take a sports radio. Text machine 772 7745254. One person rides mat.
Feels like you were talking trash when you said going on a show that no one's ever listened to.
Or that you'd never heard of. Shannon, I hadn't heard of it. What do you want me to say?
There's a million shows I've never heard of. I mean, everybody's gonna see I literally did not know
the show that they're going on was a show. Did you drew? I found out through the graphic that I saw.
I know it was a show. So it's not talking trash. I just didn't know. But then again, like,
yeah, Shannon's right. There are shows that I don't know exist. I'm sure it'll do. I'm sure that
interview will do really well. One person rides mat. Would you go on a show that has bad mouthed you
for years? You've made fun of Mitch and question. Every movie is made. If I were UK, I'd never give you
an interview. Okay, that's fine. I mean, that can be your first of all, it's not true that I've
badmatched a bad mouthed Mitch for years. I've said, I think he's the best AD here.
If to go on a show, the only way you can do it is if no one on the show has ever criticized you,
then that's such a terrible media relation strategy. You want, like, you should want as a leader to
convince people that disagree with you. So think about the people who, like, they just use politics.
Barack Obama did interviews with Bill O'Reilly at the Super Bowl. Bill O'Reilly criticized him
every night, but he still did the interview with him. Donald Trump, when he ran for president the
first time, he interviews with anybody that wanted to do him, and that's in part how he won.
You know, I have a lot of respect for people who will do interviews with folks that disagree
with him. If you only talk to people that agree with you, that's the lamest thing in the world.
You're just preaching to the choir. It's like church. Preachers should go out in the community
and win people over. If you're only talking in the building of your church, who are you winning over?
So, you know, if, if, if, if you like, Appaluto wants to convince the UK fan base that this contract
makes sense, Ryan, why wouldn't you talk to the UK fan base? Right? This is where they are.
So, and, and one more thing, and I'll shut up about it. Ryan, have I ever not been fair to someone
that came on an interview here? Even the people you're totally against, you've been very fair.
I moderated the Kentucky Republican primary debate. That's true. Yeah, you did. Yeah.
I moderated, I'm moderated Matt Bevin and Jack Conway and Bevin won the debate with me as the
moderator. You have Mitch McConnell on this show. I've had Mitch McConnell on. I'm going to have
Ryan Paul on my podcast. Like, you know, I had Marco Rubio on. I had Ted Cruz on. You don't think I
can be respectful to Eli Kepaluto? Like, come on. It's just people not wanting to be challenged.
And if you have a position you believe in, if I was some crazy person who wasn't respectful to
people I disagree with, then fine, I understand. But when have I ever done that? Give me an interview
where I've ever been mean to the person. Never. So I just think it's lame. But that's their right.
And that's fine. Who's next? Justin. Justin. Go ahead, Justin.
Hey guys, first time long time. Who are? Thank you. I just wanted to say, I have a fair amount
of confidence that Kentucky will get passed out of Clara. And my question was, was it the last year
with the Harrison twins, maybe 2014 when Kentucky, I want to say they were like an eight seed.
And they went to the final four. And they were in St. Louis. And they were in St. Louis. That's
right. That's right. They were in St. Louis. And they, you know, they definitely weren't expected to
go that far. And but I remember as the tournament went on, I just was like, wow, these guys can
be anybody. They really can't. I don't really feel the same about the team this year. But I do have
confidence we'll get passed Santa Clara. And I think we got a pretty good draw. And with that,
I totally agree with that. I totally agree with that. I appreciate the call. Remember in that year,
yeah, thank you. In that year, Drew, I was really worried about Kansas State in the first round.
We didn't even go to the game because we thought they might lose. And then once they beat Kansas
State, they of course went on that rock run that people will remember forever. Yeah, and I agree
that the ceiling of this team probably isn't a final four run. But as someone who thinks Iowa
State is going to be Kentucky, I'm not like thinking it's impossible. I mean, Iowa State has some
disappointing results the last several years and NCAA tournament. It's not like there's some
world beater that's just going to run the table. I don't have a lot of faith. Kentucky do it.
But I'm not ruling it out by any means. They can get hot and win, you know, three, four games.
Has everybody's had 24 hours? Have we found our most favorite or memorable Iowa state in
the NCAA tournament? Yeah. Forgot to look that one up last night. You got 24 hours. I finally
remembered one moment when Hampton beat him and they picked up that little chubby coach in the air.
Yeah. Uh-huh. That was against Iowa State against Iowa State. I was out of state losing.
Apparently, they made the elite eight in 2000. So far, this they've been in the last 25 years.
So remember it. I don't remember either actually. I don't remember who was on that team either.
Who's next? DB. DB. Go ahead. DB. Okay. I've been a fan of UK listening and watching
since Claude Sullivan did the radio show. Wow. And my question is since Cal has gone
down to Arkansas, does he need a bodyguard down there? There's some fellow that follows his,
but from start to finish. Do you know who I'm talking about? And yeah, I'm not sure who he
talking about. Oh, wait a minute. Well, he's a tall guy and slick. He's hair straight back.
And when the game's over, he's right on Cal up here. Walking him off the floor. I don't know who
that is. He might be an assistant coach, but you think he's actually guarding him when he when he
goes off the floor? Yes. He he he's not an assistant coach because you don't see him during the
game except sitting way back. Yeah, he may. Yeah, I don't know. He may have one. I mean,
I could see, I could see why at least in those public settings that that would be the case.
Nice to hear from you, sir. When's your first game you listen to? What year?
Oh, gosh. I couldn't tell you because I used to take my radio back and lay on the bed when I was
a kid and listen to Claude Sullivan. Oh, yeah. It was a, yeah, I'm from Orangeboro, by the way.
I've got to go to break, but I appreciate it. Call back sometime in the summer. We can chat. We'll
take a break. Be right back. KSR. TJ Smith, personal injury attorney, call TJ. He'll make him pay.
Now more Kentucky sports radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones.
So I got a text during on the text machine that I feel like is really for the three of you all.
When person writes Matt, a meteor hit Cleveland today. Did you know that?
And are the guys worried? Did a meteor hit Cleveland today?
I've not seen that on the news, but I don't know. He didn't. I haven't heard it. It may have.
Well, here, let's do a quick. I guess middle's world is no longer a crater city.
Well, suspected meteor. A suspected meteor. Loud boom reported across Northease, Ohio.
Meteor could be the cause of the boom. Could be. We don't know. Not confirmed.
NASA confirms meteor cause loud boom across Northease, Ohio. There you go. Pretty good source.
Yeah. Trust them. So apparently a meteor hit just outside of Cleveland that calls,
calls shakes all through Northease, Ohio and as far east as Pennsylvania. Oh, and they have a
picture of it. Nothing, nothing, nothing damaged. Well, I think it hit ground that was like empty.
See, that's why I'm not worried about it. Like earth is so big, a meteor could hit,
and then it doesn't even touch anything. So what are we worried about? Unless it's like, you know,
so what percentage? Okay. So what percentage of the world is ocean? It's a huge. It's like,
what is it? Three fours. Yeah. Like that. Do we know? It feels like something you would know.
Is it? There's a there's a there's a no 70 something. So right at three fours. There's a number.
I don't know. Let's just say it's three fours. So that means you got a three and four chance of
shining of it hitting nothing. That could cause like a tsunami, but let's just act like that's not
happening. Okay. Yeah. Then how much of the world is ground that is uninhabited?
It's a lot. Yeah. Like it like the poles for the most part. You know, I mean, even in America,
think about all when we drive the California, all the blank space everywhere. Right.
So is that the is there any like what percentage of the ground of the earth that is not water
has no people in it? It's probably a lot. I have no idea. I'm just be guessing.
So you're saying you're not worried because even if it comes, maybe what a one in 10 chance,
anybody lives there. Yeah. Let's see a quick quick Google search has approximately 50 to 50
seven percent of earth's land service is considered uninhabited. Okay. So 75% of is water.
And then of the 25% that's not half is uninhabited. So it's basically 12.5% of America has has
people on it. So it's a one in eight chance that if a meteor comes, it would hit where people are.
And so you're saying, Shannon, that's not enough for you to worry. Yeah. Now if that hit like
New York City, that would be disastrous. It would be awful. I think there are movies about that.
Right. But the odds are still in our favor that if a meteor is going to hit earth,
it's going to do what it did today in Cleveland and go. But is it worry you at all that it hit Ohio
drew and it didn't seem like anybody tried to stop it? I would have liked a warning. Maybe a
text alert. The hey, look up anything like that. I wouldn't live in fear with it because I
just feel like if I got if I'm the guy that got hit by the meteor, man, it was just my time to go.
I've never seen it come in any way. Not much I can say about that. That's true. I mean,
what are you going to do? There's nothing you can do. Oh, no. Oh, I'm dead. But do we have a way
of shooting them down? I would have thought I would have thought. Honestly, if they had a meteor
headed towards Cleveland, they would have shot it down. But I guess you shoot it down. It breaks
up into pieces and then you might be covering more land. So you might just be like Cleveland. They
might be sorry about you. We can't. Sorry about your luck, Cleveland. Your your teams aren't good
anyway. So here it comes. Yeah, they can probably make a path of the trajectory of it and see,
it's going to land over here in the mountains. It's okay. We don't want to bust this one up and maybe
make more damage. I just hope it made a big crater and then they can build another city,
writing them. They're not going to be able to see. Middlesbrows the only place with a crater.
We are crater city. We're not giving that up to a small town outside of Cleveland.
But well, I hope every you step your meteor game up, though, you're being outdone by Cleveland right
now. Well, an uninhabited part of Cleveland. Who's next? Matt. Matt, go ahead, Matt.
Hey, guys. Good morning or good afternoon. Last week you talked about how you
mean or through the topics. How it's a sports show about everything? Yes, or nothing.
So maybe, maybe you guys are like the sign felled, but from the perspective of George
Well, I don't know about it. Yeah, no, it is. I had a meeting Monday with one of the top
executive ZSPN and he said, how would you describe what you do in Lexington? And I said,
it's I said, it's like a show for Kentucky fans, but about whatever I think Kentucky fans would
be interested in about the world. And he said, so it's kind of about nothing. And I said, yes,
that's kind of true. So I agree with that. So I think, but from the perspective of George
who says that because of the bullwriting and the new hand modeling stuff you're doing,
that's true. I do have quite a hand model that comes out apparently that comes out at noon.
So, but I appreciate it. So who's next? Adam. Yeah, if we were all the characters from
Seinfeld, who would be who? I'm George Costanza. I'll go ahead and take that one.
I don't know now. You're Jerry. Drew is the client. Drew is the lion. And then Shannon's
Shannon's Elaine and Drew is Cramer. Oh, you're giving Shannon away. I'll be a lane. I think
Drew's more a lane. I think Shannon's more Cramer. And then Billy's Newman. Billy's Newman.
Billy's definitely Newman. Who's next? Adam. Adam. Go ahead, Adam.
Hey, what's up, guys? I'm about to come at you with the law effects. First, the
meteor set earth or they come through the atmosphere all the time. That's what causes the sonic
boom. I mean, as far as we know, the meteor didn't actually hit the ground. It burns up and
causes the sonic boom. Oh, so they're not, so it didn't hit the ground.
I mean, from everything I've seen, no, I mean, and that happens all the time. When you see a
shooting star or whatnot, that's a meteor coming through that's burning up the atmosphere.
Sometimes if it's a larger one, it does cause a sonic boom. But yeah, as far as Santa Clara and
Kentucky, I've got two things. One that is in favor and one that is not. Kentucky, there's only
16 teams in front of them that are in top 40 at both offense and defense. So that would suggest
that we should be able to make a run to this week's 16. But as far as, you know, us shooting the
same three point percentage of them that you've been saying, you know, if we go four for 10,
that's 40% and they go 10 for 30, 30%. They still had 18 more points than us at the three point
line. So that's a fair point. What's there? What's there? I know that that's a completely
fair point. What is the toe? Do you know what the comparison is? Total number of threes for both
teams made this year? I would assume they probably have more. But I don't know what Kentucky is
those. But, you know, I think I've heard Tom Leach say that they've had almost 300 three
pointers this year, which I know Kentucky is nowhere near that. So okay. No, that's all you
matters. You are exactly right. I think that is a completely, that is a completely fair point.
And I can't find the total numbers, but that no, that's that that's completely legitimate.
Appreciate the call. No, that that completely fair point. That's worth worth noting. Who's up next?
Let's go to Clay. Clay, go ahead, Clay. Hey, man, I'm just tired of all all the Kentucky fans
and all this talk about how we're scared of this team or plan. I mean, this is ridiculous. Who
did we want to get paired? Did the Kentucky fans we want to get paired with the blind and deaf team?
I mean, I don't know who they wanted. I mean, our other options, we couldn't play Missouri
in Texas A&M because they're 10 seats and we're in the same conference. So our only other option,
if you look at the 10 seats with Central Florida, and I can tell you, I would be legitimately
scared of Central Florida. They are athletically better than us. So I'm with you. If you look at
the options of who we had to play, this was the best one. Listen, I just it's just ridiculous. I mean,
I mean, we're at seven seats. What do we expect to get? You know, you know what Stein said?
If you're scared, you go to church. So, you know, bring them on and bring on. I'm not scared of
a cyclone either. I'm not scared of them either. Bring them on, Iowa State. We want them.
Yeah, I appreciate the call. The other option, I mean, there was only one other option, Ryan.
We could play Central Florida, then you caught. Or Santa Clara, then I was saved. So my question for
you is, would you rather play Santa Clara and Iowa State or Central Florida and UConn?
Before the tournament, you'd ask me to pick one of those 10 seats. I'm picking Santa Clara.
You have me to pick one of the two seats. I'm picking Iowa State. I mean, it could have good,
you have me wet location. I'm picking St. Louis. It's true. We also probably got the best location.
Drew, I know you, you were a little more, more bearish on this game with Iowa State. Would you
rather have gotten Central Florida and UConn? I have UConn in my title game. So no.
I have them winning that region. You know, we don't get the value of getting to pick our opponent
because we weren't good enough this year. So of our possibilities, this was my, when I was thinking
about the bracket and I was looking at it, I thought our best option is Santa Clara or St. Mary's.
And the two seat I would want to play the most is Iowa State or Purdue.
Well, we didn't get Purdue, but we did get Santa Clara and we did get Iowa State. So I'm,
I'm generally happy with it. Stop overpaying for sunglasses. If you're tired of buying expensive

It's a video. Who I want to see the video. And it goes up in flames like our caller who
oddly brought facts to the show, calm down, sir. It kind of looks like how he described.
Go into the atmosphere. Yeah, it kind of turns into flames and looks like it might not even make it
to the surface. That is cool. Nothing to worry about. Sorry, this is radio and I can't
hit that picture better. Callers with facts. What is that about all the wrong show?
Get more facts in the host. That is a very cool video by the way of watching it burn up. It's
on National Weather Service Pittsburgh. So we'll take a break near it back. KSR.
We're lost. It feels like we're going round in circles. I'm going to ask that man for directions.

This actually specifically applies. That's right. Cleveland did rock today. It did. So a meteor that
hits the ground becomes a meteorite. Did you know that? Didn't know that.
Did you know that? I did not. So we learned something. According now, this may or may not be
correct. So these are these are text machine facts Ryan and those might be correct or they might not.
Right. One person writes a meteor hit a house in Louisville in the 1970s.
Do we believe that true? We could probably do a little Google work. It's like there would be
like a way to track that if that were true. All right. Pretty big story if it's true. Maybe
somebody. Somebody in Louisville. We've got people listening who lived in Louisville in the 70s.
I feel like they would know. I found confirmation. What 1977?
From WHA from WHAs in 1977 a three pound meteorite hit Louisville looking for a specific spot.
Not seen one, but there is a new story confirming it happened. Huh. Well, that would be interesting.
I would guess if it did, it would be out on Dixie highway.
That's why don't Dixie highway or pressed it. I could see it being either one of those places.
One person writes Matt in recent human history. There's only one reported case of a meteor hitting a
human being. Well, that guy's unlucky. Yeah. I mean, that is one of those that you just say,
you know what? It was my time. Remember that show a thousand ways to die? I bet meteorite to the
head wasn't one of them. I feel bad for that person. I don't even know who it was. I found a story
on it. Okay. What is it? I'm liking this. This is even this is bad. Her name is Ann, but she was
in her house. It came through the roof. She wasn't even out exposed to the man. Where was this?
I'm reading the Wikipedia. It has its own Wikipedia page. Oh, wait, she never mind. She lived
because there's a photo of her pointing at the hole in the roof. Yeah, where a nice little outfit,
got some nice wallpaper and she's pointing up at the hole in the roof. So where is it? Where was it?
That was an Alabama. So Ann's just sitting in Alabama watching the Ricky Lake show.
And a meteor comes through the roof. There's a 1954. So I doubt she was watching Ricky Lake,
but it's a bit horror. She just thought she just took it. Yeah, there's a picture of her holding it
too. No, she's not. She has her own Wikipedia page. And it was a bit of foul her Hodges.
I need to know how she actually died. It was like the common cold that took her down at a meteorite
couldn't get her kidney failure. It's also on her page. Oh, wow. She's 18 years later. She's holding
the meteor. Mm-hmm. Got nice outfit on at home. Looks like someone I'd like to dress up in her house.
Wow. It bounced off a radio and hit her in the thigh. I'm reading all this on the fly. What a day.
At 2 p.m. local time. How big is she was napping on her couch and at 2 p.m. a meteorite hit her
radio and then her thigh? How big is it? Like a baseball size? Life comes out your fast.
How big is a radio? It's split into three fragments. One of them hit her.
They're through her roof. So there you go. It can happen. Even if you're just at home napping on
your couch. But you think if it comes through the atmosphere and it catches on fire,
I'm going to tweet the picture of Ann holding her meteor because she looks very unhappy
that it put a hole in her. Black hair is in her. I mean, in a hair from Alabama. Wow,
I'd have had her on the radio at 50. I bet fine bomb had her. I pull a meteorite hit my house.
All right, I just tweeted the photo. Go check out it. I got to see Ann.
Who's next? Skyler. Skyler. Go ahead, Skyler.
Hey, guys. I've got a couple comments. But one, I've never questioned the way I pronounce
meteor. Listening to Matt say, media media. How do you say it, Matt? It's the same media.
Is it not media or? I mean, I mean, maybe a more Kentucky way to say it is meteor, but I don't know.
What?
Meteorite.
Maybe I put some emphasis on the ore, but I got you. You put, yeah, you're good. I appreciate.
I, um, my comment about why the fanbase is scared is because speed of the leader, speed of the team.
I feel like I watched the Rick Patino clip from St. John's last year where he is saying,
where is your fight? Where's your toughness? And he has said a culture of not being scared of
anybody. And unfortunately, Mark Pope has set a culture of being a little, he's hiding, I mean,
hiding right now. And I think the fanbase needs a little toughness and needs a little grit. So, um,
stay safe from the meteors. And I'll talk to you soon. Now I'm going to be thinking about it.
He's saying I say it right. Like TV and Tennessee and house. Yes.
Media. Yeah. Well, we say meteorite. You've been saying that the way I think he's supposed to say it.
So you all say meteor. Meteor. Yeah. And I say meteor.
And radio is in the American Museum of Natural History. This is, I just keep learning more details
about and really her radio made the American Museum of Natural History. Yeah, she suffered from
social anxiety after it happened. I would understand why. Yeah, no kidding. You just said,
oh, I would have social anxiety too. Skin cancer isn't rare. It's the most common cancer in the US,

with the first five first? Let's go pick them. Why do I say first five? I got five teams. First,
the first five teams are playing tonight. First four. Let's go quickly drew Maryland Baltimore County
versus Howard. Who you got? I'm going with the fighting Howard Bison students. Bison. All right,
guys. What do you got? Ryan? I'm going Howard. I like Shannon Howard. Maryland Baltimore County.
They beat Virginia. They can certainly beat a guy named Howard Texas versus NC State. A little
low will Wade versus whoever the Texas co miller Sean Miller. Here you got Texas. I'm gonna take
NC State. Shannon or Drew. I have Texas, but whoever wins this wins another game in the big dance.
I'm going to go with Texas. I think our SEC over ACC Texas and Maryland Baltimore County
draft kings parlay. We will see you tomorrow back from Kentucky. This is Kentucky sports radio.
This is Chelsea handler from dear Chelsea. After the big game like most people,
I kept thinking about the commercials and there was one that stayed with me. It was from the
blue square alliance against hate and it wasn't loud or flashy. It showed a Jewish kid being
targeted at school and another student who chose not to ignore it. As someone who was Jewish,
that moment felt very real to me. Not dramatic, just familiar. And what struck me was how clearly
it showed that hate doesn't always announce itself, but the impact is still huge. If you saw the
blue square spot during the big game, it's worth thinking about. And if you want to show support,
sharing the blue square is one small way to do that. It's here. At T-Mobile, get the new Samsung
