About this episode
The Bobby Bones Show is made possible by:
The guys get into Tom Brady’s recent leather pants debut and debate whether it’s enough to make them reconsider his GOAT status — including whether anyone in the room would actually call Bobby out if he showed up wearing the same thing. They also react to the wild rewards South Alabama is offering fans for winning with the team in EA College Football 27, run through the NFL’s top-selling jerseys, and talk PGA Championship. Later, Bobby reveals what he recently bought at Arkansas, shares the story behind an X-ray room, and explains how he feels about having things named after him. Plus, Kickoff Kevin tells the crazy story of seeing someone almost die right in front of him.

So, welcome to the show, blow it at it! Where do you want to start? Do you want to know what I spent the money on to name it Arkansas? Yeah, did it get approved? Yeah. Did the wire go through? The money went through. You don't need any help? I'll tell you in a minute. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. South Alabama football is doing something interesting. If you get on and you play college football 27, which I didn't buy, because I haven't played at all. I really didn't play anything. I crushed 26. But if you get on and you play with South Alabama as your dynasty, and you win the national championship, or you win the conference, you win different things, the school gives you things. Oh, that's cool. Yeah. But is there a chance to win, or are they so bad that you can't win? You play with the worst team. That's what I would do. So, if you're good, you get the worst team when you rebuild them. Oh, okay. And so, I wonder if it's in like the hardest mode, because that's difficult. But, so, you submit a photo of yourself and your championship team
along with the screenshot of the championship game, and one grand prize winner, two secondary winners, we randomly selected, but then also, if you just win, you also get like tickets. That's awesome. If you just do it, because they want people to games, so they're going to give people tickets. But, the grand prize is, you stay at the team hotel with one guest. You ride in the game day, they call it the prowl. I guess that's maybe all the buses together. Is that like with the players? Maybe. Possibly. Probably the best. You get a pre-game sideline pass, the tunnel experience. You get a custom South Alabama football jersey, and then there's other stuff too. I think it's fun how people are creating these. But also, what college football does is, the more you play with the team, the more money the school gets as well. Oh, that's right. So, they want that. They want that. Yeah, they want that. They want both of those. Yeah. So, I don't know. Are there royalties? I guess, right? Okay. That'd be like downloads. That'd be the closest thing to it. Yeah, like songs. If you listen to the song, a streaming song, they would go get the royalties from it. And then, they would go get the royalties from it. Yeah.
Yeah. I think that's a great thing. Yeah. I think that's a great thing with them, the schools get the royalties from the game. That's crazy. So, yeah, that's what's up. Thought that was kind of interesting. All right. Tom Brady wears leather pants now. Oh, boy. That's your quarterback, dude. Yeah. He's your guy. Hey, I go back to Tiger Woods, you guys, okay? Tiger Woods. I saw that picture and I immediately outlawed it like, what the? I haven't seen the picture. Let me see it. Well, he says he's become a fan of leather pants since after walking in Gucci's fashion show in May. And he's also going to do more modeling. Oh, man. Man, he's really hurting the brand. He really is. You know what? Good for him. He's having fun. Right? We get one life to live. Chase it. Live it. Love it. Kind of hurting the brand a little bit though. Do you think any of his, like, Julie Nettlement and Grant calling him like, dude, what are you doing? No. Because I think he was the alpha. That's true. And outworldly, they're probably supporting him, but. Like, never he's not around. They're talking to each other. They're like, what does Tom do? For example, Eddie Bobby was like doing, I don't know, something like this. Like, like, like, like, growing my hair out stupidly. No, he's doing it right now, dude.
No, where I guess, yeah. I mean, modeling for GQ is something, but Eddie, what'd you call Bobby? Gucci. Oh, that's it was. Yeah, the show Gucci. Yeah. What'd you call him? Be like, it Bobby, like, you alright, man? Like, leather pants? No. No, because it would have to be something like really crazy. Like, everything Tom has done is only is shocking only because we wouldn't expect Tom Brady to do that stuff. Like, but that's because we had a narrative in our head about Tom Brady. Tom Brady may have always been like this. And now that he's not married and he can do whatever he wants, like, we're seeing it all. I feel like he's living his 20s in his 40s. I feel like he finally has some time and space and money. That's it. Yeah. Has had money for a long time, but not a lot of time because he's been dedicated. Working. Not a lot of space because he's, yeah. And so now he's being the real him. But sometimes you forget like you still have your kids. You know what I mean? As kids are older though. Your kids are still going to see this.
Yeah. Everything. Yes. But I don't think what he's doing is bad. It just is not what we feel has represented Tom Brady for so long, which is be quiet, show up, do your job and be the absolute best at it and then do it again. I'm going to do it again. But you know, like whenever I decide to eat like 100 hot dogs or whatever, I forget that I have kids and yeah, but we don't hold you to a standard other than the guy that eats 100 hot dogs. Correct. Like that is kind of who you are already right, but then the kids will watch that video in like a couple months and be like, Dad, what are you doing? Like, why would you try to eat 100 hot dogs? You know, and then like Tom, I think Tom's forgetting like, all right, my kids are going to see all this. But he's not doing anything bad. He's wearing leather pants that he looks stupid. The leather pants thing is, but maybe making out with influencers is the weird part of it. Yeah. But other than that, I don't know that he's doing anything bad. It's just weird as opposed to who we feel like he is. Who we thought he was. But we're getting so far removed from that person. Yeah. Because the Patriots, I mean, this is what six, seven years ago now where it's like, we've talked about this before, but it's a whole another generation now that are only going
to know Tom Brady for this. Do you think if he keeps getting douche, I'm just going to say doucheier. If he continues to get doucheier and doucheier, do we remove the goat title? No, no, he's still the greatest. Okay. Like he can nothing can ruin that. If he built a cosby. Well, not not that. So I'm not going to say nothing. But even then you'd go, man, he was the greatest quarterback ever, but what a terrible dude. Yeah. But he'd still be the greatest quarterback ever. He kind of can't take away his championships. Unless you find out he cheated and you already know he cheated and you still don't care. Mm-hmm. Because he did. And I'm, man, that ball was like a spun very hard. He did cheat. He did. Allegedly. No, no, no, no, no, he got suspended. He got suspended. Yes. That ball was soft. Yeah. They were coming after him. Yeah. No, no, he got caught. And then he cheated. Yeah. He cheated. Conserve. Conserve. You can see against Tom Brady. Yeah. Okay. The PGA championship this weekend.
Is it? What? I don't know. I'm looking at odds. This weekend. Oh, okay. Yeah. It is. The finale of the 2026 PGA tour season. This is the season going into the PGA tour championship. These are the golfers. Am I crazy? What the crap? No, man, we already had the PGA championship. The major. I think this is just the end of the season, which is going into the PGA tour championship. These are the golfers. The sportsbooks have a best shot to take on the title. Huh. You're golf, man. I don't know, but what happens in what? Because I ain't you're right. I am golf guy. But like whenever football comes around, I stop watching golf. Like it be wrong. What do you see, Mike? I'm looking it up. I see what you're seeing. There's a August 27th. It's the end of the season, right? This is where all the points matter and whoever has the most points wins. It's kind of like a NASCAR. This says all season begins. The majors have concluded. Yeah. The majors are done. We've played all four of them.
You've had your duty. Pretty good. Pretty good. Uh, Sheffler number one world number one. Less 345 to win. I don't know. I just thought there's a big major coming up. It's just the end of the season. But you know what's weird about Sheffler? Like it's so weird that he's so good. So so so good. But then sometimes he can just crap the bed. You know, and just like, isn't that golf? Yeah, but Tiger wasn't like that. Tiger would never crap that. I think you have a revisionist history of Tiger. Really? I mean, I don't know how many majors he lost when he was leading. Probably not many. But you're talking about just majors? No, just just tournaments because I mean, even the FedEx cup, I think the FedEx cup is the one he won. And Sheffler played great. He won by I think, I don't know, eight strokes or something. Just dominated. And then this last weekend, I mean, he barely made the cut.
Yeah, I don't, I targeted and missed cuts. But I think you have a revisionist history of Tiger being a superhero and winning every tournament ever. Yeah. And dominating everyone. Yeah, because that wasn't the case. But he did say that he was, he had some blisters or he has hand foot and mouth or something. And that it was hurting to grip the clubs. Which is crazy. Not like super contagious. Like a cow disease. Hand foot and mouth. Yeah, like a cattle get or something. Right. The top 20 jerseys NFL. Oh man. Got 20 here. You missed three times you're out, Kevin. You got the first pick. Drake me. And number two, Drake me. Number two. Number two. Yeah, Eddie you're up. Great. Patrick my home. Number six, Patrick my home. Don't be Google anything. I don't know why you're on the computer. No, I don't want any time to get on the computer. You don't get a time when I can put it on your name. So make sure I don't say him again. You're not typing on computers. All right, go ahead.
Sheater. Former cowboy, micro Parsons. Number 10, micro Parsons. Dang, really. Okay. Jackson, Smith and Jigba. Four, Jackson's myth and Jigba. That's a good one, dude. Yeah, Joe Burrow. That's the one they steal. Didn't make top 20. Wow, one X family feud style for Kevin. Eddie. Mm. I only got four players off this list. Top 20 top 20. Lamar Jackson. Uh Lamar Jackson. Number 19. Whoa. Bailey made it. It's tough, huh? When you can't use a computer. It's a lot tougher. All the sudden. He takes a big, easy, easy, can't remember anything. He was all right. I hope it's that that I told him forgot. Come on, Tiger.
Jamir Gibbs. That's a good one. 16. Oh, scared me. CD Lam. Oh my gosh. X. Oh, that's crazy. One X each. Kevin. I'm going to stick with the lion and go Amman Raw. Same brown. 17. Oh, Amman Raw. Same brown. Ooh, this is a good one because not only sports fans are buying this one, Swifties are buying this one. Kill a Trab. He's on there. Nope. He's got to be on there. Wow. Okay, let me check again. Yeah, one more time. Oh, nope. That's too strong. That's too strong, Sadie. Oh my gosh. Guys, you guys only have six of the top 20. I know. It's harder than you think, man. I think we're, yeah. It's not hard for me.
I'm looking at them. You know them. Yeah, that helps. Yeah, I'm going to go with Miles Garrett. Nope, new team. No. So you're both the two strikes. Wow, we're not doing very good. How do you can lose if you miss this one? I won't, I mean, a cowboy has to be on there. So give me Dak Prescott. Oh, dang, he's on the list. Yeah, probably. Got him. Got him. He's on there. Nope. Wow. You lost. Kevin, you want to try to hit it on the... Yeah, B-john Robinson. Nope. Oh my goodness. We suck. Yeah. Jamar Chase. Okay, will you say it like that? Like, oh, yeah, easily. But why didn't you say that? Yeah. You just came to my head. That's why. You also missed it. He's not on there. Really? Dude. Number one, Josh Allen. Oh, God. We're an idiots. We're an idiots. We're an idiots.
Number two, Drake May, number three, Sequon. Still. Number four, Jackson Smith and Jigba, number five, Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels. Who wants that one? My home's at six. Jalen hurts at seven. Caleb Williams at eight. I was surprised you guys didn't get Caleb Williams. Yeah. I think that it's easy to say now the strategy. We just go find the big quarterbacks on the big team. Yeah, cause usually it's the quarterbacks. Jordan Love at nine. Micah Parsons at 10. Bo-Nix at 11. Oh. Bo-Nix. Christian McCaffrey at 12. Justin Jefferson at 13. Aiden Hutchinson at 14. Aiden on the line. Yeah, just not a lot of defensive guys though. There are just a few though. TJ Watt at 15. Jamari Gibbs and Monross St. Brown. Brock Pertigate at 18. What? That's a pretty stop. No one's in there. The March Jackson at 19. And CJ Stroud at 20. Oh my goodness. Nobody's buying goodness. Only in Houston. Overdack for us guys. What? That's absurd. Subserved. Yeah, who made that list?
It's sales. It's Jersey's. Man. Nadex, FNX. It's right by myself. NFL. NFL. I do you guys want to guess more or time what I'm going to buy and sponsor and name at the University of Arkansas? Yes. I have it. Oh, you go first. The flag. The American flag. No, no, the yellow flag. Penalty flag. Oh, that's fun. And that's a Bobby Bones flag. Interesting. I'm going to guess the headsets. We'll have your name on it. Man, that would be really expensive. I know. Every headset. Ooh, or the tablets. Yeah, I think mine will not be seen on TV. Oh, okay, the water bottles. Well, maybe you'd see those on TV. Yeah, exactly. Mine had something to do. What I thought was funny about it was what it was. And it's a place you don't want to go. But there's also kind of an association with my name. Oh, I was going to say, Urinal.
You don't want to go? Is there a jail at the stadium? Nope. Bones. Bones. Bones. A graveyard? Cemetery? Yeah, when people die, they get put there. Wait, no, no, not a cemetery. Oh, I was like, what? No. If someone dies during the game. Bones might probably know that. I'm going to let them still guess it out. Is there like a barbecue place? Like a barbecue restaurant, like Cassessia Stan? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bobby Bones. Garbage cans. Trash cans. Don't want to go there. It's in the stadium. It's in the stadium. You will not see it as a fan. You would have to be a player to access it. Oh. Okay, so it's a locker room. Locker room. Bones. Got to be a locker room. Or the tent. Inside the tent. The laundry basket. That would be funny, dude. It's not on the sideline. Like I said. So it would be in the locker room. Well, I wouldn't say it's in the locker room.
Equipment room, maybe? Okay, then the equipment room. The tunnel. Oh. Bobby Bones. Tunnel. Man, I don't know. Washer dryer. I'm thinking laundry still. Bobby Bones a washer and dry. Why would you even spend money on that? Just think about bones. Uh-huh. A massage table? Dog bones? Mike, what do you think it is? You're going to X-ray machine? The X-ray room. Or players. Or players go in. You have to get X-ray. I didn't even know they had one in college. Wow. So it'll be... They definitely don't want to go there. It'll be the Bobby Bones X-ray room. So I bought the naming rights to the... Okay. Where did that come from? And that's only at... I thought it was funny. There's stadium at the stadium. Like if they travel, they don't name you. No, they don't. It's not a mobile. The visitors. No, whatever stadium has their own. Okay. So, but they'll be a big plaque with my name on it.
It's called the Bobby Bones X-ray room. So if we go visit there, can we get X-rays? I think for free. Maybe discount. Yeah. What's... What do you get out of that? Nothing. Because no one's going to see that. Yeah, okay. Just the players. Yeah, okay. It'll be funny. And now they're going to be like, Tom, you might have broken something. Let's go to the Bobby Bones X-ray room. That's the hope. My desire is that. Coach, I'm not going to have to go to the Bobby Bones X-ray room. Mostly there, we're just like, hey, we need some money. And I like to have stuff named after me now. It's hilarious. So I was at all... They named the X-ray room after me. And they said, okay, fine. You're crazy, dude. So that's what it is. That's awesome. So when we go to the game, we get to see the room, right? Yeah. Yeah. That's cool. I mean, if you go to a game. No, we're going to... Which game are we going to go to? You guys are going together? You two? No, all of us. I don't have that planned out. And remember, we're standing at your house. Yeah. Yeah, I don't have any of that planned out yet. But I'll let you know as soon as we get there.

Alright, Kev, what do you have for us? Alright, I saw this show that's coming out, produced by Kim Kardashian, and it's called Team Moms. TEAM Moms. Baseball gets cast reveal in premiere date on Paramount Plus, right? That was a headline. And basically what it is, it's a reality show of these moms that are baseball moms of these teenagers in high school. But the show is following these moms around, and obviously there's going to be a lot of drama in it. I'm sure. For sure. Kind of like what's the OC moms show, one of those, but it's following these baseball moms around. So, I was wondering, you know, you're kids are all in sports. Would you ever do a dad version of this? Like, would I be part of it? Yes. Like, Mike, then I'd be a person on the show? Yeah. No. Never? No. Dude, I'm so chill. I'm one of the chillest dad sports dads ever. Like, I don't yell.
I mean, basketball sometimes dude. Basketball sometimes I yell just mainly at my kid though. My thing is I'm always kind of like, if I see my kid running half ass, I'm the one that's like, Hey, what are you doing? Let's go. Even though you're not coaching? Yeah, correct. But other than that, I don't get mad at anything else. Yeah. But these are following the moms, so you would be miked up over there and you'd be the one yelling, right? Right, and I'm telling you, that's not, I'm not a yeller. But you are at your own kid. At my own kid. But then there's a moment when I realize that I'm the only one yelling, and I'm yelling louder than I thought I was. So I just kind of chill. Does your wife ever be like, Hey, can you stop? Yeah. Can you pop down a little bit? Does anybody ever say anything to you other than your wife? Just my wife. Dang. No dude, because you can hear these other people yelling. And I'm telling you, dads don't realize. Sometimes moms, they don't realize how loud they are.
Like to you as the parent, it's almost like you're just at home trying to tell your kid to do something. But you feel like they can't hear you unless you yell. So you are yelling so freaking loud. But I'm telling you dude, this thing that Kim Kay is doing, I had this idea to do with AAU basketball parents because they're brutal. You're right. Actually, yeah, because you were talking about the fights. Yes dude, there's a fight in AAU basketball. There is a fight between either the parents, the parents and a ref, or two kids fighting. And I'm talking any age. You want to name the age. Seven-year-olds, there are kids fighting on the court. So you think that would be a good show though? Yes. Like that's what we need to come up with. Yeah, and you know with this Kim show, it's gonna be good. Because do parents are out of control? Yeah, and these moms, they want the drama. Like they're on this show because they want to be dramatic. They want to get the clips, the highlights, all that stuff.
And reality TV is at an all-time high right now. So you know these moms are gonna be thriving in this environment. Do you come into think of it? I remember some basketball games where moms were getting into it. With each other. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the dads had to be like, hey, hey, you all relax. You all chill a little bit, like relax. Because these moms, dude, are territorial with their kids. So when their kids fight, the moms get upset with each other. Do you feel like, well, I guess you have all boys, but have you ever seen it where like, are moms more territorial with their little boys or girls? Have you ever noticed that? Or no, you've only seen the boys aspect, I guess, huh? I've never seen, I've never gone to a girls game. Cause I'm just interested like, are guys more territorial with their daughters? And then moms more territorial with their sons, maybe? Did I tell you about the time when my son was having a basketball practice? At a little side gym at his school. And he's like, dad, I'm just going to be an hour and a half. Like, if you want to go somewhere you can or if you want to wait. And then I saw they were having a basketball game
next door at the main gym. And I was like, I might as well just go to the game and watch the basketball game. And then it ended up being girls basketball. And I was the only dad that didn't have a kid in the game. See, we're creepy. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, I saw another dad. And I told him like, hey, man, I'm just waiting for my son to get out of his practice that didn't have anything else to do. I'm just the only guy I just seen your watching girls play basketball. I swear I'm not weird. But I've never really gone to a kid's girl game of any sort. So I don't know. They have that in WNBA now more than anything I get. Yeah. Yeah, I thought of that when I saw that story. I was like, I wonder if Eddie would ever do this. But I know that you've seen it. So maybe one day we can make a show like that. Dude, I'm telling you, man, we wouldn't make a great documentary if we did AAU basketball. Because there's something about these parents that think, and I'm telling you, every parent in there thinks that their kid has a chance to be the next LeBron.
And then I feel bad for the kids. Yeah, dude, because you know what? They end up hating it. Yeah. They end up hating it. And I remember my son too, when my son experienced the first fight at the game. And it was like, I think his first fight were two parents yelling at each other. He froze and didn't want to, he didn't want to keep playing the game. And then there'd be a kid on the court crying. You know, because his mom's fighting. Like traumatizing. Traumatizing, dude. I remember one kid yelling and saying, Mom, stop! Mom, stop! Oh, no, no. I may feel uncomfortable just hearing you talk about it. I can't even imagine being there. I know, dude. And witnessing it. I know, it's crazy. Okay, so what happened with you? You were at a restaurant, what happened? Yes, we could have uncomfortable, actually. I was at a restaurant and it was me, my wife and two kids, and we were just sitting there eating or dinner, having a good time. And then all of a sudden we hear just like a commotion. Oh, oh! And then this lady jumps out of this booth. Hold on, hold on, time out. Set the scene.
What kind of restaurant? Uh, a decent restaurant. Like, I wouldn't say high. Like a Chinese. No, no, no, no, no, better than that. But not like a high-end steakhouse. Okay. I would say in between that. Okay, but has servers. Has servers. Yeah, booths, you know, a little dimly lit. You can get a good drink. You can get a steak. You can get a burger. I love it. Yeah. So we are here having a nice dinner and there's families all in there and there's this family and this booth off to our left. Full. There's like probably six or seven of them. And we just hear one of the ladies in the booth start yelling, we look out or we look over and she starts jumping out of the booth choking. She's like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, The one that was choking got up. Yeah. You started moving around. And she was in the middle of the booth. You know, like when you're like the third person in you got to have everybody get out. Yeah, yeah. Like she was pushing them like, get out of my way, but she couldn't talk because she was choking. Get out of my way. And then she got out and just started choking and then her husband, I assume it's her husband, just started.
Sad about her on the back, right? And she's choking and choking and then one of the servers comes over. Not ours. ours is just sitting there watching the whole thing go down. Frozen frozen. Like my son on the basketball court. Exactly. Doesn't know what to do. And we're sitting there like what the heck is going on. And then another server runs over and she's like, get out of my way. I can do it. I can do it. And the husband's like, no, you get out of my way as he's like smacking her on the back. And she's still choking. And she's still choking, dude. Still choking. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, and then eventually she was okay. The husband got it out of her. I didn't spit anything out, but she was choking for like a solid probably. It's one of those words. It seemed like it was five minutes and it's probably like 37. Right. You know, do you know what she was choking on? No, she even said after she said, I don't know what that was, but it's something just got caught in my throat. And the server, it was so funny too. The server that was trying to help after she, you know, got done choking. She looked over at us because she was trying to help and she seemed like she knew what she was about to do and the husband was just smack it.
Hey, like a hard smack. Like I could hear it. We were probably like 10, 15 feet away and you just, and then, uh, uh, uh, I don't like, geez, I don't painful. I don't know why, but I'm picturing a bigger couple. Honestly, no, okay. No, you're not wrong for thinking that though. Yeah. I don't know why I pictured some big couple on this dude, just like, no, hitting her back hard. No, not, not a bigger couple, but the, the other server, dude, she walked, I mean, she ran over there. She's like, get out of the way. I can do it. I can do it. And she knew like she was ready for this moment. And then as a husband smacking her, she looked over at us and she just looks at us, shaking her head, like trying to help, but he won't let me. And thank God the girl or the lady with all right. And was she turning blue or anything or were now never got that bad? Okay. Like, I'm not trying to be judgmental, but it seemed a little dramatic, but during the time, like, stop. There she was choking. I know, but during the time I was like, oh my gosh. But after I was like, was it really that bad? I don't know. Have you ever been choked or have you ever been choking on food or anything ever?
No, not to that extent. Neither of I. Yeah. I have. Like, I don't really choke on things. I've accidentally like had water go down the wrong pipe. Of course. And you feel like you're choking, but I've never choked on a piece of food before. Yeah. I mean, either, I mean, definitely not to the point where somebody had to give me the Heimlich or smack my back. Okay. See, and that's my question. I know the smack in the back. That's kind of, that's phase one, right? Yeah. Someone's choking. Hit her on the back. Phase two is like, does anyone know the Heimlich? Yeah. Would you know the Heimlich? Would you be able to know what to do? No, I mean, obviously I didn't because I just didn't. I just, no, it sounds like we're going to do crash. I sat there in my chair and I'm like, what's going on right now? You're still eating your, your state. I'm like, can you quiet down over there? Trying to enjoy a meal, man. You've got my kids here, man. No, I've never seen it. So I guess that answers the question. I wouldn't, I wouldn't know what to do.
I mean, right now I can be like, yeah, aren't you supposed to get under the sternum? I think is what they say, right? With your fingers or your thumbs or something like that? I'll put the whole fist in what I would do. What? Dude, Heimlich. And you lift up on him. No, you just push, you like push in, right? Well, from behind, right? So, so, so that the thing is like, we're not training Heimlich, right? Like we're not, I've never, have I taken a Heimlich? I'm, I'm not sure if I've taken a class because I know when we adopted our kids or when we did foster, when we were foster care, when we were foster home, we had to do CPR classes. We had to do, I think it was Heimlich, but I don't remember, man. But I feel like I've seen it enough on TV to kind of know what to do. Yeah, but would you have the confidence you think like in the moment to jump up and go do it? After phase one didn't work. Like, if I'm seeing dude slap her back over and over and it's not working and it was
just us in there, yeah, jump in. I would do it. You think he would? Yeah, I think I would. I'm a lifeguard dude. That is true. That is true. I'm not saying they passed away, but what if you did it and it didn't work? Like, how bad would you feel? Terrible. But how bad would you feel if you didn't do anything and they passed away? Yeah, pretty bad. Well, at least I tried. All right, here. But see, that's what's, hey man, look, I'm not a hero dude. I'm not calling myself a hero. But you know what though, dude? People have to worry about that though. Like, if you're an innocent bystander and somebody is choking and you decide to go in there and help and say you made the wrong decision, you didn't do the Heimlich right or you accidentally fisted the wrong part, you would get in trouble, dude. You could get in trouble, you could get sued. Right. And you all you were trying to do was help. Right. That's what I'm saying. That's crazy. I hate that part of the law and I hate that that pops in her head.
Because that's not the human way to think. Exactly. Like, human way to think is somebody needs my help, I'm going to jump in and help. Yeah, I thought about it after I was like, should I have helped? And I was like, well, somebody tried to help and that guy was like, get out of my way. So what did your wife say? Like, go help? Nothing. No, no, we all kind of just sat there like, what is going on? Is she actually choking? I can't really tell if she's like legit choking because the way that he was smacking her man, I feel like he's taking some anger out or something. Did you video it? No, no. Did you think about video it? No, honestly, I didn't. I didn't cross her mind. I'm happy about that. At least I didn't pull out my phone and be that guy and do nothing but watch somebody choking video it. Or do it like in cognito, you know, or it's on the on the table. Yes. Or have my kids hold it so I can claim that. That is a viral video. That right there is guaranteed viral. Yeah, you're right. I think I wasn't more shocked than anything else. Yeah. But yeah, she's all good. So glad we got through it next time I know. That's great. No, I'm glad. I'm glad to know to how you would react. Yeah, but if you're choking, I got you, dude.
Thank you, man. Okay, and I won't sue you. How's that? That's thoughtful of you. Dude, so what do you think about this? So my kids came home, I don't know, like a couple weeks ago. And they were doing some kind of practice at their school. Their school, they have a really cool facility. Like they have an indoor football facility. They have a weight room that's huge, like huge weight room. People constantly go like Michael Chandler, the MMA fighter. Okay. He's worked out there before. And then they say, why maybe he lives close to it or whatever, but it's kind of open to whoever wants to use it in a weird way. It's like an unspoken rule. If you are a legit athlete, we know who you are, you can use it. Okay. And so they came home to the day and they said they saw, is it TaiJ Spears? Yeah, TaiJ, yeah. Who's like running back for the Titans? Yep. And then they also saw AJ Brown working out in it. Yeah.
And then they said to him or no, I think them two were working out together. Why? But the word gets out like, hey, like AJ Browns here, Spears is here from the Titans. And then he said to the, they were working out and they were like lifting weights or whatever. And then they went out to the field and were running routes with their helmets on. He said, so they had their team helmets on. Really? That's, that's how we knew who they were. So my question to them was like, did you go talk to them? Yeah. And they're like, no, we were so scared. Do they want to? Of course. And I'm thinking man, like, did you know who went to McCallan High School when I was growing up? No one. No one. I mean, dude, Jay Nova check went to the sports clips. Like, that's as close as you got. The Titan for the Cowboys and like, you had to stand in line for three hours to maybe meet him.
And these dudes are growing up with like MMA fighters. NFL receiver, one of the best receivers. Yeah. Like NFL superstars working out in their high school gym. Do they find it as a big deal? Cause I'm trying to think from their perspective, they're obviously more exposed to it these days. Or even I was at their age, you know, like you see these athletes more, I guess, on your phone or whatever it might be. So do you think there's any kind of jaded to them? That's a good point. No, because even if you saw them on their phone, it's different than being able to see them in person all the time. It really is. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know about you in California. Like, did you have celebs that you saw all the time? Cause in South Texas, we saw no one. What? Toneloke, you know, toneloke is? No. Uh, a wow thing. Oh yeah. He came down. He was the biggest thing that everyone talked about for two years, dude. Toneloke coming down to play a show. Uh, yeah. No.
I mean, even in LA, like LA is not like Nashville, dude. Nashville, you see all kinds of people. The people that you wouldn't even think you would see here. Yeah. Dang. I'm jealous. I know, man. And like to me, if I saw back in the day, if it would have been like Warren Moon, you know, Steve Larrgent. Like Jerry Rice. You do what it thought Steve Larrgent was just some random white guy. For how long? But you know what I mean, dude? If he was just throwing the ball at our high school field, yeah, I would have flipped out. Did they say like, did anybody go up to him? Yeah, I said people were talking to him. No problem. Especially as a kid. Like, you can go up to him as a kid. That's what I said. You know, like, it'd be weird if you and I went up to him, but we're good. And then you know what, why so hit me with, hey dad, do you think, do they know you? Shut up. No, they don't know me. You should have said yes. Yeah, go up there and say, hey, my dad's Eddie. Yeah. They never listened to Bobby Bones show 25 whistles. 25 whistles. That's my dad. Yeah. You want to come on some time? Yeah, yeah.
I know that guy. That's awesome. Yeah, dude. Crazy. They live a different life than we did, man. Yeah. It's not going to be the last time though. So tell him next time they need to say something. Yeah, autograph. Exactly. They did. He said, man, if I would have known, I would have gotten a card and take it. Yeah, a little awkward, dude. That's just fun. Yeah. Yeah, let's hit it. Let's get out of here. Oh, I was, I'm going to hit you with a lot of the other night. So MMA, Dana White contender series, you heard of this? No. So it's like, it's UFC, but it's like the, basically, people are fighting for UFC contracts. Okay. Okay. And so it's only like five nights on a random Tuesday, five fights on a random Tuesday, but it's MMA. It's UFC. And I bet on it, dude. I could not freaking lose. Wait, do you know about these fighters? No, no, no, no, no, you're just, you're just blind, blind, gambling. Blind. They come out walking out.
This guy looks like he can kick that dude. Yeah. That's awesome. Dude, there was this one girl, the last fight. She was a plus 2200 underdog. And you bet on her. Do you know what that means? Yeah. Plus 2200 underdog. And I was like, I put a dollar on her. She won. Shut up. She freaking won. 22 bucks. Yeah. Yeah. I spent one dollar and 22 dollars a whole night. I won 50 bucks out of boy. It was a crazy night, dude. I love it. And you know what? It got me pumped for football, baby. That's right. It's coming, man. I'm ready. Hey, what's this game? Is this game in Ireland? Which one? The TCU. Oh, is it? I think it's an Ireland game, dude. I didn't, when we talked about that, we didn't know. Let's see. A UNC TCU, right? Yeah. Yeah, you're right in Dublin. In Dublin. In Dublin. In Dublin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Keep trying. All right.
That's it. You good, Kevin? Yeah. I think I got the wrong song play, but it's all good. I noticed that. I was like, I don't know what this is. We need it. It works. Thank you guys. We'll see you all later. I'm going to blow it out. Goodbye, everyone. theme song written by Bobby Bones. That's me. And performed by Brandon Ray. Follow Brandon on social at Brandon Ray Music. There's a moment before anyone says it out loud, the room just feels different. I've been thinking about that lately. And for me, that's what Purea is really about. Not just adding fragrance to a space, but shaping how a room feels is second you walk into it. Purea is a smart home fragrance diffuser,
but the smart part isn't really about the tech. It's about what it does to a room. I can choose from hundreds of premium fragrances from brands I already love, then set the scent, intensity, and schedule right from my phone. The space responds to me, not the other way around. And honestly, the diffuser itself looks like something you'd intentionally put on a shelf. It's a modern design object that happens to change the atmosphere of your home. If you're thoughtful about how your space feels, take a look at Purea. Choose your sense of place at purea.com. That's purea.com.
