Because there'd be a part where he'd be like, yeah, that's where you got to do the Wimbledon. No, it wasn't even Jimi Hendrix. It was too much. Not the same melody. No need to show off the anthem. You did it. It sounded great. It's too much dickin' around. What? Yes. That's crazy. I watched that and I got chills. Because it was your guy or because it was his guy. Yeah, I mean Mike McCready, Pearl Jam, all those guys. All those guys. I love Pearl Jam. To see Mike McCready represent Seattle and America with his guitar, it was so cool to me. But I guess you hated it. As somebody likes music, you can play guitar, obviously. But if it were a singer doing the same thing, I say the same thing.

6:08If someone's like, and no, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, the brain. I hate that too. That's not your song to take liberties with. You want to know what's so cool is I've seen him play that live because during, in some of his concert during yellow lead better, he'll go into a solo into the Star Spangled Banner. So I've heard that same version. So yes, I can understand why hearing that at first being like, oh, that's kind of, it's too much. It's not about, no, no. That's how I feel about that song with anybody doing it. I know. It wasn't just about him and his performance. No liberties with the national anthem. Stapleton a few years ago, he just played it straight, right? Straight forward. That one gave me chills. Oh gosh. Straight forward, the song is meant to be saying about America, not for you to do a little dance on the side. Hey, man. Okay, guys, relax. And I made a note to talk about that because I was so annoyed by it. Right. And you knew that you were going to annoy me. And he was like, man, he did a little tapping.

7:09He's putting in like all the famous riffs and musical history. He goes into even flow. So the game quickly from last year, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Not a great game. No. And Sam Donnell gets hurt immediately. And at first, I didn't know why it was hurt at first. They were just saying lower body for a minute. It turns out it was a hip. Hip. That because he was limping. What are they saying now? Yeah. So now they're saying he's expected to miss just a few weeks. So for sure already out for the second game, we expected that. But they said that they dodged a bullet basically and he shouldn't be out just a few weeks. But what's the, but they're still waiting to get an MRI from more results as of, we record this right now. Yeah, what's the injury? It's just as a hip injury. Oh, I don't know that. Just tweaked it. Like how bad was it? Generic hip. No, not that bad. It's just a hip injury. But you can just say that. It's just they just heard it a little bit. I was fine the next day. Yeah. So I had the same thing until they diagnosed them fully. I had the same injury.

8:10But, did you get refunds on all your bets? No, because I had bet a parlay of Sam Darnold and Drake May both passing from over to 30 together. And I don't think Drake May hit two 30. He was not even close the last time I looked. Got it. But if you would have, you would have gotten paid half. I would have got paid half. Yeah. It says the hip is intact. It's more of a muscle thing. So that's what I said. It's more of a muscle thing. That's what it literally says. Whoever that writer is needs more of a muscle thing and something. Yeah. I hate to see anybody get hurt. Yeah, that was terrible. And the first game of the season and the Super Bowl champions. So. But let's go. What's his name Drew Lock? Drew Lock? So it sounds right. I mean, let's go to lock, dude. But what helps me, not that you guys are asking, but what it helps me is because you're a Patriots fan. Yeah, I'm a Patriots fan. But last year, what are your members? Great year we had.

9:10Week one, we lost to the Raiders at home in a ugly loss. Okay. And you made it to the Super Bowl. And we made it to the Super Bowl. We lost three games all year. So two more after that all year. So I'm like, okay, it's a week one. The difference is that team last year, year one coach, quarterback finding himself. This you know who you are. Same coach, same team. I don't think that I get it. Out hold on to hope too. Yeah. But Seattle's also great defensively. Their defense is nasty. And I will say Drake may look like he had PTSD from the Super Bowl. Oh, like he, as long as we don't play the Seahawks, I'll feel okay. I like his hair though. It's all longer. He's going a little bit. I didn't notice that. I just noticed the picture. Look a little longer to me. He's on the sideline before the game. While the guy was taking libers at the National Anthem I didn't like and never joined everybody. I think I drank a drink of his hair. It looks a little longer. So it was rough. Got a boring game. I at halftime my wife and I watched the show. There's football Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Wait, watch like a halftime show?

10:10No, we watched a show. Oh, okay. We went over and watched the halftime show. You know who played the halftime show? Was there a halftime show? Yeah. Mike McCready. Mike McCready in the Sound Garden guitarist with some girl. They were full Seattle, huh? Yeah, they went all Seattle. What's all over there? I don't know what the girls and artists, I don't know who she is, but they were there. Those two guys were her guitarists. Did you watch it? How you can see in the background and then I followed Pearl Jam on Instagram and they played it. Taylor Momsen. Oh, I know Taylor Momsen. You did? The pretty reckless. Yeah, she was in the pretty reckless late singer that and then she was also in the Jim Kerry version of the Green Guy. The Grinch. Oh, oh, really? Yeah. That's cool. Oh, there you go. She played the halftime show. That movie's not called the Green Guy. The Grinch. They have the Green Guy, the Soul Christmas. But that's funny because the mask was also green, right? Yeah, but he didn't still Christmas. Yeah, I did not. He did not. He fell for the first time in 20 years. Well, not have a rookie quarterback starting week one. Whoa. But guess think of who the rookie quarterbacks are.

11:11Her name though. Really, Mendoza would be the one and he's not going to start his cousins is. Right. But the rest like Nusmire is not starting. The Rams. I think he's third string because Stetson Bennett is second. That's right. Which is forget. They didn't. Correct. Right. So we were set. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. I'll go to Carson Beck is there. But I don't even know is he a backer. Why do you keep talking about Carson Beck? Because he got him up like, yes, and the in the freaking hall of fame game. No, no, all preseason dude. He played great. Then he made up being the starter. Eventually it's important. I'd be willing. If that's a bet somewhere, I would place that bet that he eventually starts this season. I think the bet would be he starts by what week? Yeah. I don't know if there's one. Does he eventually start this season? Too many words. Just two or two. Yeah. Drue allers not going to start in Pittsburgh. He's a club. Yeah. But club Nick is a backup in New York for the Jets behind Geno. So that's a possibility.

12:11He could start at some point. It club Nick's funny because all the comments from Jets fans. It didn't watch college going, this is our guy. This is our guy without seeing him play college. But yeah. Yeah. It's the only time of 20 years that a rookie has not started game one. That's probably a good thing for them. And for us as viewers. Oh yeah, agree. Right. I mean, if you're Arizona, I know they paid Jacoba percent. Yeah. And you want to lose every game. Maybe you start your rookie. They say that they don't tank. Like they swear. They can't. They can't. You can't tank as a player because you have a contract. Right. Melody's guys are trying to get paid. You don't want to tank as a coach because you're going to have a job. What you're tanking as is affecting what personnel are getting to play. Who you're is injured. Like when Max Crosby doesn't play the last three games because he's got an injury. He really doesn't or it's so small he gets still play. But they they the GM or the decision makers that actually do want a worse record.

13:18They will try to affect it by having weaker personnel be available to the coaches. And then those weak personnel that are playing as hard as they possibly can because they want another job. That's interesting. Yeah. And it's hard to get a 22 people to tank. Yeah. It's hard in the NBA. But in the NBA they don't tank except for the players don't play bad. They just put in the worst players. Yeah. Yeah. So it's not. Tanking is the players got their going where we're going to suck. No, they're playing as hard as they possibly can. But what they do is they limit the amount of minutes for the good or if they get in at all. Yeah, they put in the worst players baseball too. That's where managers and GMs getting trouble or getting fights with each other. Because the managers like I'm getting fired but you're keeping your job but I had to play the guys you want me to play. That doesn't make sense. Everybody's team this week because everybody's playing now. Your team is a Patriots. Yeah. You did lose. But what are you doing? Because you're not. It's weird you're not playing Sunday because it's like football has really started and you got your game. So yours isn't even until a week in a week. Oh my gosh. I know that's the worst part. We had to wait like 10, 11 days for the next one to try to rebound.

14:20I'll be a but I guess the most is over your answering. You're asking me. I mean, you're not really a Tennessee fan. No, you're not a Tennessee. Oh, the balls. Are you going to claim it at GBO? Maybe. Let's go. Oh my gosh. Okay. Then what game are you personally invested in that has not happened yet? Oh, Texas in Ohio State. Just because you're interested in that game. Yeah. Yeah, that's because I love called football and there's are two great teams. Yeah. And fairly his team already played. Yeah, I get that. Eddie. There is no other game that interests me at all this week. Rather than Sunday night when the Cowboys go to New York City and play the Giants. Dude, I've been waiting all year for this like all year for this game. I am so excited. We're going to find out who the Cowboys are too. This is it. Don't put it all on week one. Why not? Please don't. Oh, I'm telling you right now. Do not do that. You got 17 games, bro. I know, dude. I just it's so exciting to me that like it's finally here and the Cowboys get to play. And it's going to be on a Sunday night because they get center stage like there's no other

15:24game that's, you know, like no fantasies distracting me. It's going to be all Cowboys. Also you're playing a bit of a wild card with the Giants. Yeah. It's one of the teams that you kind of have an idea of who and what every team is going into the year. But you got a new coach. You got your two of Jackson Dart who is healthy right now. Your two of Cam, Skataboo. You have the Giants have a good front four defensively. So who knows what the Giants are going to be this year. That's interesting to me. And I hope you guys run. We own them in our league. I hope we just run them. Right? Just kill the Cowboys from the very beginning. But the Giants are one of those wild card teams where we really don't know what they are. Yeah. And with Harbaugh now, you're like, they're at least going to be stable. You think Mr. Consistency, right? Mike, Texas game for sure. Huge Cowboys fan. Game is going to determine a lot, I feel. If they don't win that game, I don't think it's our year. Texas, I don't need there because just for both teams, because nightmares, comfort

16:27schedules. Are they in Texas? Yes. Are they planning to also? Yeah. Even looking at Ohio State's schedule, like they'll probably be favored in Texas is favored in this game because it's an Austin. They're a point and half favorite. But Ohio State will probably be favored or close to in every game. But they have to play Oregon. We pull up Ohio State's schedule. For whoever loses this game, it's going to be tough. Yeah, Texas is a point and half favorite. Number one Ohio State, number four Texas. And you're not going? No. Did you even look at tickets? No. That'd be crazy a bit. Go later in the season. It's not as hot. Yes. I feel that, man. Outside. So they got Kent State. This is Ohio State, after Texas. Then Illinois. And Illinois, the private one, that's right, but Illinois is sneaky. Go ahead. Always at Iowa. Again, a little more sneaky than Illinois. Go ahead. The Maryland at home. Sucks at Indiana. Okay. Okay, that could be an L at USC. USC supposedly is a lot better this year than Oregon.

17:29So that's three in a row. Dang. And then they close out with Nebraska, Northwestern, and the Michigan lost. So there's three games that they could possibly lose. I'm not going to count. The Iowa game could be sneaky. But I mean, there's three and a half games there. They could possibly lose. Who were they playing at the end there? He said Michigan was the last one. Who's before that? Nebraska and Northwestern. Nothing. They didn't know Chip Kelly was at Northwestern. So I thought maybe they was like, what? As not in the coordinator, but he's just there's like a consultant. All sorts of assistants. Yeah, they call them senior analysts. Analysts. Yes, that what it is. Analysts, yeah. Sounds like a good job. Would you pull up the Texas schedule? Yeah. Because I know Texas has got a monster run in coming up later with the Arkansas race. Oh, there's an else. And Austin. That's the game I'm going to go to. Yeah. You want a guarantee to win? Okay. So you TSA after a house date. And then at Tennessee. Okay. Good. Just depends. That freshman five-star quarterback looks really good at Tennessee has. But again, he's a freshman. Yeah.

We don't know. That Louisville game was not good. But if you haven't heard the story of the Patriots and the Raiders, then you've not heard a story because they went to the Super Bowl and they lost to the Raiders we want. Oh, that's right. Author is got a big book coming out called Lane Being Lane, which I'm going to show you guys on camera. It's the story of Lane Kiffon, College football's agent of chaos. Hey, John, I want to start with this first. So we planned to have you in the studio and we couldn't say this to you when we were like, don't come, but somebody was murdered in our building yesterday. Cheese. So that's why. So I feel bad and luckily we caught you before you left. And you had to be like, man, why did they move this to zoom? And now it's finally made the news, but I don't know if we'd be allowed up here, but somebody was murdered. Like there was a gun. It was crazy. It's the craziest thing. We can't believe it. So a little bit of me felt guilty for canceling you coming up here, but then I thought when I finally was able to talk to you and I said there was a murder, you would understand. 100%. OK. I appreciate you felt me. And I appreciated like Kevin giving me the heads up. I was just about to get the car. I live in Birmingham. It was about to drop in Nashville.

26:43I was like, OK, I was excited to meet you guys in person, but understood of course. And now obviously I understand. Yes. So what a crazy situation. We want you to come up at some point. I just didn't even know if we'd get in the building and literally 80 feet from us. Some dude was murdered. Our producer found his body, like walked up on his body. That's how crazy it was. That's insane. So I don't hate it. That's my point. Don't hate us. It's nothing to do with you. It had to do with murder. OK. Now to what we're talking about. And so I am in the middle of a different book right now called The Wager. I don't know if you've read that, but it's about a ship. But when I finish that and I don't say this because mostly I'm not full of crap. I do say a lot of things, but I'm not full of crap. I think I'm going to read this because I love Lane Kiffin. I hate him. But because he makes me hate him so much, like I can appreciate the love for him. So why did you decide to write this book on Lane Kiffin? I think you kind of hit on it right there. He's got that love him or hate him. You watch him, right? And he is the most polarized person, I think, in college sports,

27:45which is exciting to kind of dive into him in a deeper way of like, what makes this guy tick? Why does he do the things that he does? And I think especially like Bobby, I know obviously you're a guy who understands college football and the SEC. Like this guy has just had a one-of-one career from the high, high to the low lows. Obviously the first person to be a head coach at three SEC schools, but just even the way that he can get to close to the mountain top and then the way that he seems to leave every place he's ever worked at. Like I always thought there's got to be something behind the scenes happening there. And so that's the big reason why I wanted to try to understand why is Lane Kiffin the way he is and why does he do these things that seem to both delight and disgust us. Would you say, and again, I'm going to be honest our listeners, I just got the book, I haven't read it yet. So I'm going to ask questions. I'm not going to pretend like I read it because I just got it. But I'm going to ask questions that may be stupid since I haven't read the book. So please bear with me. Would you say the highlight is getting that Raiders job when he was like 13

28:48and then obviously he was fired from being the head coach of the Raiders. But would that be the high for him if you were to go? Let's look at his career. I think it could be, but I think it's also like such a Lane Kiffin type situation where he had people in his live telling him don't take that job. But he was driven, especially that age, and I think he still is now. It's about a 20 year difference. But he was driven so much by ambition and the idea of going from being the offensive coordinator at USC to being the head coach of the Raiders was crazy. And it was kind of almost fun looking back at the headlines at that time where even back then people thought this is crazy. And he had gone for a job actually the University of Minnesota job and didn't get it and yet somehow got the Raiders job. And there's a great story in the book where the Raiders actually initially wanted to hire Steve Sarkiesian. And they sent one of their guys to try to find Sarkiesian. He kind of ghosted Al Davis. This guy's trying to find Sark. He gets Lane Kiffin on the phone.

29:49He's like, where's Sark? What's going on? Lane's kind of playing Koi with him because Lane was kind of lined up to be Sark's offensive coordinator of the Raiders. And eventually this guy, I interviewed for the book, said, well, Lane, would you be interested in the job? And Lane was like, sure. Yeah, I think I would be. And so they went from wanting Sark to somehow ending up with Lane Kiffin. And people around the Raiders told me really from day one, they realized this might not end well. And it ends in one of the all time press conferences where Al Davis has a projector as he explains all the reasons why he hates Lane Kiffin. That's crazy. Do you think that Lane, this isn't, you can't answer this question right or wrong. But do you think Lane would be where he is now? If his dad wasn't Monty Kiffin, people giving him a bit of credit for what, not what his dad had done just in, because I was Monty a defensive coordinator. Okay, for what Monty had done in his career, but also that Monty was like known as like a stable guy, and they assume Lane would probably be a product of that.

30:50I think there's a lot to that. I think you can look at it in three ways, really. One, obviously just growing up in that environment, right? Like Monty is an all time ball coach. Like he was obsessive ball, watching tape all the time. Like in Lane used to love like trying to stay up and watch Monday night football with his dad and be able to pick his brain even as a little kid. So just growing up, I think in that environment, you know, prepares you to potentially be a football coach. Certainly Monty opened doors all through AppLanes early career. And you know, we get into it in the book, but just like how he ends up at Fresno State for college, how he gets his first graduate assistant job afterwards, how he gets his first NFL job. Those are all with people that Monty Kiffin was good friends with. And so Monty got him, you know, opportunity after opportunity to start. And then to your final point, absolutely. And it played a role in him getting the Tennessee job. And also the USC job where they thought, all right, if we have Monty Kiffin with Lane, that'll kind of like tamp down some of Lane's craziness.

31:50Monty's a great guy. He's very personable. He's great on defense. If we paired the brain to Monty Kiffin and the stiableness of Monty Kiffin with Lane's kind of wild and crazy offense, we're going to win big. And it never fully came to fruition. But certainly there were some moments there, some Tennessee USC where it looked pretty good at, you know, at a time. And it's a big reason why, you know, Lane Kiffin is who he is. It goes to Monty Kiffin. Did you happen to see Lane Kiffin's half time speech that was leaked with the guy recording the ground? I did. I don't know if anyone has verified that it is actually real. But certainly seems like we're all taking it as if it's real. But yeah, I did say it was entertaining. I am a pretty good sniffer out of AI. So I didn't even resonate to me that it might be fake because it was shot so grand. But again, it could have been so good. But if that was Lane, which I would say it was, that was awesome. Like I wanted to go run through a wall for that dude giving that. But it was amazing, right? It was and it's a side of Lane that we frankly do not see very often.

32:51And it's something that like talking to former players and guys who have worked with him like that's not typically Lane's style. He's a bit more to the point. Obviously he can get guys fired up. And some of the words he used did not surprise me at all. It is kind of direct. But you know, he's not always the big pump him up guy. It's why he's had Edo Jarrad with him, you know, throughout his career at multiple different stops. Like Edo's the guy who's like ripping off his shirt and wants you to like run through a wall. Like that's typically been others role rather than Lane. But clearly like Lane, you know, is growing and evolving. And I think that specifically that video, if assuming it's real, show to side of Lane that we frankly have not seen very often. And at least from what I saw on social media and things like that, like almost universal approval rating. Like that's the kind of Lane that I think people really enjoy. Yeah. And I said on the show, because again, I'm not a Lane guy. But I'm starting to be more of a Lane guy because I feel like Lane is now embracing what everybody feels he is right or wrong,

33:53which is the bad guy. And the fact that if so, I love Hollywood Hogan. Now Hulk Hogan, America's hero, Hollywood Hogan, best bad guy ever. And if Lane is just embracing that role of the bad guy, like that makes me enjoy what he's doing. Do you feel like it got to a point with him now that he's just had to go, okay, if everybody fills this way, I'm just going to say that that's just me. I think he's resisted it in the past, right? And I think maybe he realized between how he left Ole Miss, the vanity fair piece and what he talked about, you know, some of the racial issues that he felt like impacted his recruiting, you know, at Ole Miss. Like those things kind of piling up on each other seem to lead to maybe more people dislike in Lane Kiffin than in the past. And so it seems like he's embracing this idea of being a villain. But maybe kind of like Hulk Hogan, it's interesting is that Lane always views that there's a path back to being a hero. And even I think both publicly and certainly privately, some of the people he's talked to that I talk to, he always views that like if I can just win enough,

34:54I can be the hero again. So deep down, I don't think he wants to be the villain, but I think he's smart enough in this moment to realize being the villain can be fun and doing the us against everyone as it has been a, you know, a successful sports stroke for a long time for a reason. And I think he if he can kind of play the everyone hates LSU, everyone hates me. Let's show them, you know, who we really are, which we got snippets of in that halftime speech. I think it can be very successful. And it does seem to be turning some people to his side. It's certain it seems to be working pretty well for him so far. Yeah, I hate LSU and I never like Lane Kiffin. And I only hate them because I'm from Arkansas again and we hate LSU and we hate Texas more though, but that's not what we're talking about. But again, when I love somebody that just is consistent with a strong message, like it doesn't matter. And I feel like he now that's so interesting that he feels like there's always a path to we'll call it redemption, like regardless of where he is. Have you spent any time with him and did you spend time with him in this book at all?

35:56Yeah, I was around him some, and I covered Alabama for a long time. And so kind of was in Tuscaloosa Birmingham for the early years of Lane at Alabama, which were a wild time in a lot of ways. But I think what's interesting, Bobby, is that I think really if you go back to the Raiders days, he's been trying to sell this idea of redemption and evolution pretty much at every step. I think he realizes maybe I may have a mistake. Seems like every single time he leaves a place, it ends horribly. And then he's got to clean it up somehow. And he tries to sell I'm maturing, I'm evolving. And then it happens again, and then he does it again. And so it was kind of interesting to go back through history, just and even when I've interviewed him in the past, like him trying to sell this idea of like I'm growing up, I'm evolving, even going back to 2010, 2015, 2016, etc. And so I think he's still doing that. I think he's still trying to redeem himself in some ways. I think he was able to do a lot of that kind of PR cleaning up in Oxford.

37:00I think it was in a pretty good place. And then the way he left, I think damaged a lot of that, burned a lot of bridges, certainly back in Oxford. And so he's trying to kind of clean it up again here. But I think one thing for it's clear if Link if, and it's like, again, there's going to be some great moments along the way. But you almost have to sign up knowing that at some point is going to end horribly. And I think if you're an OSU friend, you're hoping maybe we at least get a national championship out of it before this thing gets weird. Just going through the memory here, is this only positive departure FAU? It is. And what's interesting, and we get into it a little bit in the book, and it's nothing like that, but it got a little weird at the end of FAU too. And just the thing is just like they just were not covered the way Bobby we covered the SEC, the way we cover Tennessee, the way we covered the USC famous Tarmac fire, excuse me, FAU, they were just happy to have them. They were just desperate for attention. They were desperate for a guy who could give them some juice. They loved the lane experience in a lot of ways.

38:02But I can tell you at the end there, when he was interviewing for multiple jobs, including actually Arkansas, if you remember, there was a time where Arkansas was in the mix with Lane Kiffin before he ultimately went to Ole Miss. And people there at the time were telling me like, he's off in the side field taking calls during practice, talking to his agent, trying to talk to coaches about coming with them to either Arkansas or Ole Miss. Like the week of the conference USA Championship games. So like, they didn't get a lot of attention. They still won the game. It didn't matter. But it had the potential to get a little weird. Certainly, if it was a bigger school, and we saw that play out, of course, of Ole Miss, you know, last cycle where it got very weird at the end. I mean, a lot of hurt feelings along the way. So I'm a pretty big booster at Arkansas, and we had Lane. And one of my really good friends, and on the staff at Arkansas, and that's when Lane took the Ole Miss job, after he had already told us at Arkansas,

39:02he was taking that job, and then they fired. Did you know that story and not say it? So I didn't know the factor. And here's the interesting story. You probably know this, but maybe your listeners don't. He had a connection to the Ole Miss golf coach. And so when Arkansas was happening, and he was telling Arkansas I'm coming. Now, there are people around him who were, I guess, maybe skeptical. Maybe if that was the only opportunity, he would take it. But he wanted to make a run at Ole Miss before he, I guess, was all in at Arkansas. So he had a connection to the Ole Miss golf coach, and reached out to Christmas, tried us and said, hey, can you do anything? Can you get me in the mix for this job? He went to at the time a brand new athletic director, Keith Carter, had just gotten bumped up from the interim. And he was like, hey, we need to think about Lane Kiffin. And there was skepticism about doing it. One thing which you might know as Bobby, but the, you're the Manning family. Not the biggest fans of Lane Kiffin from my understanding. Archie is still a huge deal at Ole Miss.

40:03He was, you know, I guess they gauged his opinion. It was not in favor of hiring Lane Kiffin. So there was a massive risk for Ole Miss to do it. And ultimately, and it's kind of funny looking back on it, they had this kind of conversation. And one of their top boosters said, we need a rock star right now at Ole Miss. Like, we need someone who's going to juice up the base. We need a rock star. And they got one in Lane Kiffin. And all the best and maybe worse ways of what a rock star can do. But they wanted to ultimately go down that path to juice the base. But yeah, you're right. I mean, he was telling people at Arkansas, I'm coming. And if he didn't maybe get that Ole Miss golf coach to intervene on his behalf, he could have been Arkansas's head coach. I was told it was done. And then, because they needed money. And so I gave him money. And I never get my money back. Can we even get him? How stupid is that? I never got my money. I only gave it for Lane. I never got it back, John. Yeah, you got, I think you got Gip there. I got yes. Yes. I think I'm going to get dis-founded. Like, hey, I'm sorry. We didn't get you, Wayne Kiffin. We're going to give you your money back. We got Sam Pitt minutes dead.

41:03So we'll roll it for you. The parallels between Tennessee. It felt very, leaving Cleveland going to the Ravens late night. Just any of this where people just kind of leave and don't say anything and then everybody hates you after. It felt very that. And all my Tennessee friends have a dislike for Lane. That being said, they all misting the fans also hate Lane as well. Like he's done that twice. He has. And I was in Oxford the day he left. And so I was there at the airport where I don't know if I've ever seen more middle fingers aimed at anybody walking. I mean, there are kids walking to the plane and people are flipping them off. I mean, it was like, it was the full SEC experience in every way. And I think that's what's like, again, you wonder why I write a book about Lane Kiffin. It is moments like that because, and I think even Lane would probably say this, when you evoke such a visceral reaction to your departure,

42:03it means that cared, right? And I think that is, like Ole Miss was so all in on Lane Kiffin. And you could argue, they're branding really became much more about Lane Kiffin than anything else. It became the Lane Kiffin University with Ole Miss attached to it. And so when he ultimately left after selling this idea of I needed Oxford more than it needed me and I grew up in Oxford. Like people really bought that and felt very betrayed when he ultimately left. And it is kind of a repeat of Tennessee and the way that he left there and the strong reaction in Knoxville with people burning, I think, mattresses and painting the rock with nasty things about Lane Kiffin. And that's two SEC fan bases right there that are always going to dislike the guy. And that doesn't even count just your general rivals who don't like usually the head coach of their rival school. So he's by far the most interesting guy in the SEC at this point. And certainly evokes the strongest reactions of anyone in college football, in my opinion.

43:04I have three questions left. How do you feel Pete Golding feels about Lane Kiffin? He's played very nice publicly. And they've, I think he said all the right things. Now, sometimes you hear different things behind the scenes, but I think Pete's just like, he's just a ball coach, man. And I think he's just like, I'm staying out of the drama. I'm going to do my thing. I'm going to just try to do everything I can to be successful. And I think like he appreciates that Lane, he was able to bring him to Ole Miss. This is, you know, he's got Mississippi roots, obviously. Delta State guy. I think it was very important to him and his family to be back in Mississippi, be in Oxford. So I think he's appreciative of that. But there's a moment where last season, Lane Kiffin, I believe it was after the Oklahoma game, where they won, where he was like, basically turned to Pete, was like, we could go to Florida right now if we want to do. And Pete essentially said, like, I didn't come here for you. I came here for me and I'm staying here for me. I'm not just following you.

44:04So there was certainly some, some divide and some stuff that happened behind the scenes. And, you know, we detail it in the book, but it was an all-out battle between LSU and Ole Miss during the transfer portal. Those guys were duking it out for players. Golden was having to do everything he could to try to hold on to guys like Trinidad Chamblis and Kiwong Lacey while also preparing for playoff games. So there was some bad blood in that moment. Again, I think they're trying to let, you know, sleeping dogs lie. But there certainly was some friction after Lane left and his staff was trying to do all it could to raid Ole Miss' best players. Why did Sabin hire Lane? And what was that relationship really like? So the story that's always been told was that he realized and that they use a car analogy that like our offense is a Mercedes, but it's about to drive off a cliff. That's always been the story that I've told. So I think he, Nick Sabin, realized, hey, the game's changing. I don't like it. I mean, you can remember like he used to complain about their hurry up,

45:05no huddle offense. He hated that stuff. And I think he was like, well, I'm trying to stop it. I'm trying to get real changes. It's not happening. I might as well get my own guy who can do this. And so there was a common denominator there. They have the same agent who's Jimmy Sexton who many believe most powerful person in college sports. And so he got those guys together. Lane initially just came in to kind of spend a week or so as Al Dama did its bull prep and ultimately Sabin decided, I need to make a change that's higher Lane Kiffin. And how did the relationship work out? I mean, it was friction pretty much from day one. And those guys are just very different. I mean, it's kind of funny to see them interact with each other now. It's almost like I compare Sabin to like that grandfather who like you kind of laugh about their kid being like a wild man growing up. It's funny or now, but in the moment it was terrible. And you know, you have Nick Sabin who expects everyone to do it a certain way. Like, this is the process. This is how we do things. And Lane Kiffin is like that little kid who just keeps asking why?

46:05Why are we doing this? Why not do that? What about this? And as you can imagine as a parent, you're like, just not asking me questions. Just do the thing, right? And I think that's like how Sabin reacted to him at times. And it got bad at times. There was a Vandy Fair excerpt about my book that came out recently that details some of this stuff. But you know, Lane Kiffin had some off the field things happening during that time in Tuscaloosa. The Nick Sabin heard about. Didn't love. That created additional friction between those two guys. So it was a, I think a mutual beneficial partnership. They won a national championship together. He evolved. Al Dheim is offence that when you paired it with that defense, felt nearly unstoppable. But did those guys ever love working with each other? No. But they both appreciate that they could get something out of each other. And certainly now that it's been a decade since they had to work together, it's easier to remember the good moments. And not all the moments when Nick Sabin was in Lane Kiffin's face screaming at him. Joey Freshwater, do you talk about him?

47:07We do. So I mean, you know the story is obviously it's been part of I think the internet, I don't know, discussion point for a long time. And I talked to people who were there at that time. And I think there's one person put it to me. The Joey Freshwater stuff got out there for a reason. But he was asking those things. I don't know this is 100% true. It's actually not even in the book. But someone told me this after I wrote the book that the Joey Freshwater name comes from he had a friend in college and that was the name on his college roommates. Fake ID was Joey Freshwater. So all the way back when he was in college, somebody had a Joey Freshwater Fake ID. And evidently Lane thought it was a hilarious name. I was like, I'm going to use that. So that's the story that I heard. I don't know if that's 100% true. But certainly the Joey Freshwater stuff was out and about. And Bob, I'll just tell you, I don't judge people like, do your thing. But I remember covering Al Damm at that time. I'm like, I'd get a text at like 130 in the morning on a Friday night

48:07before football game be like, hey, Wayne Kiffin's at this bar right now. And you're like, oh, that feels a little weird. I don't really remember hearing that about a lot of other coaches. So he was just out there invisible in a way that Nick Sabin assistance just really were not. And Wayne Kiffin's a funny guy. I mean, Joey Freshwater is a funny name. There's no that it's the hilarious line. And so that's like, that's part of like the Wayne Kiffin thing too. It's like, there's some dark stuff there, but there's also some funny stuff where he's like, he's got this great sense of humor and quick wit where he can just have these things that he does. And so Freshwater is one of those like kind of internet war things that is actually true in a lot of ways. I can't wait to read it. I'm going to have to wait actually until it comes out though because I have such bad vision. If it's like halfway dark, I can't read paper. I had one of those lights you put on your head for my bed for my wife, is asleep. And would wake her up because I can't see. And I have to read on my iPad now. So the book does come out next week. 51:10I think we do. I think that's how we may have gotten connected here. Or the work together. Is Jerry your agent? I work with Ethan, who's with. Partners with Jerry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's pretty cool. Okay, we have another reason to be friends then. Hey, I do really enjoy your work otherwise. And I'm going to be so supportive of this book. And I'm actually going to read it. I've never told a single person that when they've called or when they've come in and promoted a book. I'm always like, that seems cool. But I'm going to read this because I'm so interested in lane. And I hate him so much that I love him. He's like, he's now my friend now. But it's like Brandon Walker. Like I hated that dude watching him on, I hated everything about what he would say. Shut up at Mississippi State. Shut up about knowing everything. And I hated him so much. I started to enjoy as a content creator myself how good he was. And now he's one of my friends. So lane to me is like Brandon Walker. Where I just, but I don't think I'd be friends with lane because I have artists that I know that I have these huge personalities and they're the way they are for a reason. They're successful for a reason. And I can enjoy their art and understand why they're great.

52:10But I don't think I could be like personal life friends with them. I don't feel like I could be personal friends with lane. I feel like our personalities are too different. Your thoughts? Well, one I think Brandon is great, by the way. And I think Brandon also, he has embraced that wrestling heel idea. Where he knows that there's a show here. The thing that's interesting about lane is one, does not have many close friends. I talked to his childhood best friend. He really doesn't have many close friends. And Bobby, I think the other thing that's really interesting about lane is that, and I kind of refer to him as the Wizard of Oz in this book, where I think because of his tweets and his little quips and things like that, we think he's this huge personality. And when you're actually in person with him, he's awkward. Uh, he's introverted. He can be quiet. Like he's, he's going to be, you know, not necessarily looking you in the eye when you talk, which again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I just think that fans have this perception that this guy is like exploding off the screen when you meet him. And it's really not like that.

53:10And it was almost kind of funny that like talking to people that have worked to film at Tennessee and Ole Miss and things like that, where they're like, we can't bring this guy like donor Daners. Like if he was the Arkansas coach, we want to get him in front of Bobby. Like maybe he can get Bobby some money. They couldn't do it. Like it'll end horribly if we try to do that. Like it will actually lose money if we try to get him in front of our top donors because it goes like that. So it's like, we'll put him in like a Q&A, we'll let him do a little spiel. But like we don't want him in these like these moments because he just doesn't really know how to communicate. Like if it's not talking about football, he's not very good at being able to just like have small talk with you. So I always thought that was something that's just so interesting about Lane. And another reason like why I wanted to write a book about him is just like, I think people think because he's so great on social media, he's like this hilarious guy in person. And like he's actually very different. And it's very interesting just how his personality is, which you had delven to the book a lot. Oh no. You guys want to say it? That's you. That's me. Maybe you all will be good for it. Everything you just said is me and people when they meet me in person like, oh this guy either,

54:11he's a dick or he's weird. It's like, no, I just, I kind of am on the spectrum too a little bit where it's like once my microphone's on in front of my face, I, I, everything's awkward. Maybe Lane's my best friend. Oh no. Okay, everybody, I hope you go and you order the book, you get the book. John, again, thank you so much. I'm really looking forward to meeting in person. 1:10:35As a group, yeah. You had 25% of the team. Yeah. Yeah. So the year before I was, I had my own team and I won 4,800 or so. I mean, 5,800. Whatever it was. And what you do is you draft teams. And if they win, you win. And if they lose, you don't win. But when everybody else wins, you have to pay them. And so it can get out of control fast, but it can also, you can get way up fast. It's almost like crafts. Sure. Like it can all go quick and crafts. Yeah. So what you do is there's six of us on the Zoom. Six teams. And you snake draft, one through six. Back and forth. Thirty six picks. And you're wondering, well, there aren't that many teams. Well, you can draft teams to win or draft teams to lose. And if they lose and you have them to lose, you get money every time they lose. And the first round we had two losers taking, which is never half of a... Wow. Two. And the reason is not because they don't lose a lot. It's because once it gets to the playoffs, they have no chance to make extra money. So, but who do you think the two teams were to lose were?

1:11:35First come to mind as Cardinals. And the second are the dolphins. That's exactly it. They're both drafted in the first round. Yeah. I had the third overall pick. I think I bid a hundred bucks to get the third overall pick. And so... I'll get them up here. I was confused by that. So, I think every year I'm confused by it. So, when you pay or bid to get the pick or whatever, you have to pay that money. So, that just goes into what? The final number that we pay. Even last year, I think I bid a hundred bucks and we ended up paying the hundred bucks on it. And you just are bidding because if there's a team you want, like Matt Stell went first. I have the order of... And he bid the highest. Yeah, he bid two hundred bucks for that first pick. So, it's all on a billboard. I did too. Matt Stell? Yeah, there's new songs. Yeah, it's good. Yeah. Yeah, it's good. Let me see here. What would that thread be called? Arthread? No, I have it. Schins. All right. No, Arthread's called NFL Make Money. Yeah, make money in the fill. 1:12:37Or we'll have to change that name. Okay, so the first pick overall was the Rams winner. There. The second pick overall was the Cardinals loser. Dang. I know, quick as I've ever seen a loser pick. And I think that's going to be a great pick and it's going to make them a lot of money. But I've just been burned doing that because at the end of the year, sometimes they squeak out a couple. Sure. And then also, there's five weeks, four weeks of the playoff that you can't make any money at all. Yeah, Patriots saved us last year in playoffs. Patriots saved us all year. Yeah, that's the whole year. That's it. That's it. Okay, I had a third pick and Kevin, who do you think I picked? Because we all kind of had a pick. I had a pick that I picked. Eddie had a pick. He picked. Signs had a pick that he picked. And then we just kind of the team did the other three because we were all on. Trying to think who's good. And what I factored in was I team that I felt like was good and would win, but also strengthen schedule. Yeah. So I was singing like the first team popped into the Seahawks, but I think they're going to have a hard schedule and they're playing the Rams twice a year. So I wouldn't go Seahawks.

1:13:38A good team strength of schedule. That's too early, but context clue with what we talked about earlier. Super Bowl. Oh, yeah. Do you pick Cowboys? No, I didn't. I didn't. I didn't want it to. I already forgot who you picked. I picked Baltimore. Oh, duh. The Ravens. I picked the Ravens. What do you think? I think it's solid because and that's what I wanted. I wanted a solid restaurant pick. They have a, I feel like they're strength and schedule is on the lower end of strong. I think they're going to have a lot of things to do. They have a, I feel like they're strength and schedule is on the lower end of strong. And they're going to be really good this year. Because they didn't make the playoffs last year. So they'll play like the third team in each division. Yeah, they'll be good. And like mentors are coach. Yeah. And so I just hear people raven about him. So we went to Ravens first overall pick. Okay. After that, there was a Dolphins loser. Then then they picked the Lions. Oh, wow.

1:14:39Then someone picked the Bills. They're going to have a tough schedule. The reason I didn't pick the Bills is because I do think they could probably win the Super Bowl. Yeah. But if you play a hard schedule and you get to the playoffs as a wild card and you win the Super Bowl, you still don't really make as much money as you would have if you won 13 or 14 games. Correct. Yeah. I agree. Okay. So that was the first six. Then we're on the second round. Then they picked the Seahawks. Okay. The Bangles. That wasn't you guys. No, no, no, no, no. Because it's snake. It's snake. After the Bangles was the Eagles. Okay. And then it now it's back to us. Oh, you guys went Cowboys. Well, I gave Eddie the option of the pick. Which I didn't know he was going to give me the option. How nervous for you. Not like that at all. You didn't feel any pressure after last year. No, no, because it was all Bobby's decision. And then he starts like fumbling and I'm not fumbling. I had a full grid on the zoom. No, there's no fumbling. I don't mean fumbling. I had a full grid. He was kind of like rubbing his head. I was doing a little show. And then he goes, Eddie, should we? Nice. And I go, let's go Cowboys. Nice.

1:15:39So we got to Cowboys. Nice. That's a good one, man. That's a good one. Cowboys are in the second round. I do believe. I do believe. I like that one. Then the Pats. Okay. Then the Jets loser. Okay. Now we're the third round. Texans winner, Broncos winner. Now it's back to us. And I'll say this, I picked a loser in this third round. So who do you think? Because there's been a couple of losers so far. Yeah, you got the Cardinals, Dolphins. Yeah, there's only two losers. There's been the... Oh, there's been three. Yeah, there's been the Jets, the Dolphins, and the Cardinals. Who do you think I picked as a loser next? It has to be the Browns. It is the Browns. Okay. Boom. Nice. Glad you said that. I know, right? After that Titans loser, 49ers winners. Raiders losers. And after this start round, it gets to be hard. Because everybody's like predicted around 500. Yeah. Then it's Chargers. The Chiefs winners didn't go until the fourth round. That's nuts. I would have taken them if they had been available in the fourth round,

1:16:41but I wasn't going to take them before the Browns losers. Don't blame me. Okay, here we go. Chiefs winners, Packers winners, and then it's to me. And this is the... We let Mike signs pick. And I don't think it was a bad pick. But it's a winner. We picked a winner here. And this one is... We think they're going to be pretty good, but also the division they play in. Is it the Vikings? It's not the... I think that's a tough division. It is a tough division. Yeah. Yeah. Pick don't because I think they can win their division. Oh, oh, the Bucks. Great. Same reason, but no, different division. Different... Different conference. Different conference. AFC... So you have the Texans of Colts? Jags. Jags, okay. Feel pretty solid. That's a good one. Yeah. Because they could either be win 12 games, and you would... And it's like, okay, they got a good team, but they're also the Jags. And they could win 9 and get the playoffs and maybe surprise. True. That is true. And it's hard. These backgrounds are tough. Are they going to live overseas for like another month? I don't know, I didn't.

1:17:41Like, I think they're playing. They always do. They always do. Yeah, they're playing every year. Then the best Bears winners, Vikings winners, Panthers losers, Falcons losers. I did take a loser in this... This is the next last round. Ooh. I have a loser here. This pick kind of struck me weird, because I wouldn't have thought it, but then the more I sit on it, I'm like, oh, this is a good pick. It's such a hard round, though. Six and five and six, because you're out of all the good teams and all the bad teams. You're just at all mids. And so you got to kind of pick which direction you want the mids to go. Yes. I can't remember if they already got picked on up the Raiders losers. Raiders losers got picked. Okay. Before that, right? That's where you go, okay. Ooh. Um. This one could bite us in the butt. The last two always can't bite you in the butt. Like you said, Kevin, it's really close, which way they can go. We're screening at 500 here. But the box already got picked. Um. Falcons already got picked. AFC.

1:18:41It is AFC. Okay. C South. Tech to the Titans. Yeah. Stay there. Okay. Oh, it is the Colts loser. Yeah. Okay. Would you pick the Colts winner or Colts loser? Ooh, gosh. Uh. Probably a loser. Probably though, right? Yeah. Yeah. But because I just don't trust Daniel Jones coming up the injury and they lost Pitman as a receiver. Yeah. And they put in the Jags and Texans are going to be good. So we have probably a loser here. Uh, then Giant losers was taken. Saints winners was taken. Bucks winners was taken. Um, and it was snaked. I was going to take the box. Before I was going to take the Colts loser. But since it snaked the other way, Bucks got picked before. They freaking stressed us out last year. I did. Uh, then commanders loser, Colts winners. Uh, so Colts winners got taken in the last round. Because everybody was torn. And so we have one other loser team. Wow. And the last two picks were somebody picking this team to win and us picking them to lose.

1:19:41Oh my. Or scrounging. Yeah, I was going to say I didn't even realize. I don't remember this pick. Trying to think of it. Yeah. Yeah. No. Um, hurt quarterback. I had not hurt anymore, but he was hurt. Now he's just old. Uh, God. Now he's just old Kevin. Rico. Rico Dallas plan is a running back. Yeah. Oh, the Steelers. Wow. Steelers loser. That's, I mean, that could be great. Cause the Ravens playing twice too. Yeah. I said we have Ravens winner, cowboy winner, Jags winner. Ravens, Cowboys, Jags. And then we have Browns losers, which I feel good about that one. Yes. And then the two that are always tough in the last two rounds that Colts and the Steelers losers just go 500 guys. We're good. Did you feel weird not having your strategy of doing winner loser team?

1:20:44I couldn't because when I draft, it came back on the back way. And they drafted Steelers winners. And so I had to, no, no, after I drafted Colts, losers. You wanted to do winners on that. They drafted Colts winners like four picks after. Yeah. Cause I would have done that. That would have been the one. Oh, yeah. Like we did last year. Yeah. So that's the team that make money team that you're not in. So you're in the team though. Do you want in? Um, no, but I'm going to be rooting for you guys. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. 1:25:55Did somebody touch your kids this weekend? What the hell dude? What happened? So we're out at breakfast, me, my wife, my two kids, and somebody are waitress. She comes up and she's like, oh, you know kids, oh your kids are cute. Oh, thank you. And then she just rubs my little boy's hair dude. Like rubs his head, like her fingers through his head. And I'm like, interesting. Okay. And she's super nice. I was like, whatever it is, what it is. And then we went to a department store after that. And we're looking at buying something and this guy is hanging out and helping us. And he's like, looks at the little, my little boy, he's sitting in the cart. And he's like, oh, you're so cute and he tickled him dude and his ribs. I don't like, okay, two times in one day. Like is this normal? That one feels more weird than the first one. Yeah, the first one I feel like it's okay. Only because it's a woman. Yes. But the guy here, where's fine, like a little brush in the hair? Okay, but the guy tickling. I don't like that either. I don't like that either. Two reasons, one guy. Yep. Two, don't touch his body. All right.

1:26:55Don't touch him at all. But second, don't touch his rib. Now this is a stranger rule, right? Like if you don't know the parents or the babies. Yeah, if I know you, like, okay. Okay, yeah. Hey, I feel like I do that, you know, like with, you know, kids that I know, you know, and their parents do. I'm just like, oh, he a little bit. Even if you get a little like close, you're like, hey, or peak mood, whatever, but like to like touch, you know, to tickle him. I'm like, okay. That's bizarre. That's weird. What did you say? I say, I stuffed him in the fridge. He thanked him for touching your head. No, I didn't do anything else. Like, okay, the fact that it was the second time in one day, I was like, okay, we just, let's go home. Is this a segment of you bragging how cute your kids are though? No, I don't realize this Kevin flexing to everybody with the touch of his kids because they're so cute. No, I wouldn't do that. I mean, it's, you know, I don't need to do that. But your kids really cute. I mean, yeah, they're my kids. Of course, they're really cute. Doesn't everybody think they're kids or so? Yeah. Like my second son, I thought he was the cutest thing in the whole wide world.

1:27:57But I look at pictures now and I'm like, oh gosh, he was so ugly. Like he was so ugly, dude. And it's not because I remember thinking he was the cutest little baby ever. And I know, and I remember people would even laugh. I mean, they come, he's so cute. Now I know what that laugh meant. He was not cute at all. He was pretty ugly. Have you told him that? No, never. Will you tell you what I'm telling? No. He didn't wife this though. Uh-uh. No, no, no. I don't think so. Uh, yeah, I feel like except for- But you even thought then he was cute. That's what I thought he was so cute. Like everybody thinks they're kids or so. Like, until what point? Because my kids are 15, 16 months now and I'm like, they're still just adorable. I think you will always think that they're really cute. What if in like five years though, you look at your second son and be like, dang, he was ugly when I was talking about him on the show. Like he is just constantly. He's 30 years old. He's still like- No, but 30, he's a good looking guy, right? You seem a 20-year-old. I'm always ugly. Hey, you guys.

1:28:57All right, before we wrap this show, here are my five super hot takes. I actually wrote this when I was on the Rich Eyes and Show and I never got to it. Okay. Cool. This is Rich Eyes and Material. Well, so I had it and I never used it. Okay. Because I went into that. I'm just loaded because it's all talk for three hours. Yeah. So you're in and I don't want to be somebody who's just like scrounging for stuff. So I had so many segments that I had planned I never got to do. But this was going to be my five super hot takes on Rich Eyes and- Sure. And also, I kind of wanted to rattle the cage a little bit. I wanted to talk about Caitlin Clark because I like being a Caitlin Clark supporter defender. So here we go. Number five, Caitlin Clark is already more important to her league than any athlete is to theirs right now. Not the best, but the most important. Well. There's a big difference there. I had because she had just scored 37 points. Right. But when I wrote that, her 37 point performance is another reminder of the attention surrounding

1:30:00her. So again, I don't think she's the best of everyone and their league, but she is the most important athlete in their respective league right now in American sports. Hot take. I don't think it's that hot. I'm trying to think of a counter like of who else it could be. But when it comes to their sport, I mean, LeBron is probably the only, but even he's faded out last couple of years. He's holding out. Yeah. And there's not really a young person in the NBA. You can point to NFL. I felt like the NFL is going to stay on top of no matter who is the face. But there's not one dominant NFL person that makes news regardless of what they do. No. Travis Kelsey is probably the biggest just because of Taylor Swift. That's a good point. You know, I was going to go Josh Allen, but because of just a play, but yeah, Travis Kelsey's holding out. Yeah. And he's not important to the league. He's just no, someone who gets a lot of clicks. So anyway, that was my number five. Okay. And then they go number four. And they all weren't sports.

1:31:00That's where I was going to throw them with the curveball. Okay. Yeah. Number four was people who genuinely believe in astrology or tear card reading should never be taken seriously anything else they do either. I like that one. I guess people that really are like, oh, oh, you're a cancer. I'm a leprechaun and we'd go together. Or whatever they are. Capricorn. Yeah. So people who really live their life, who believe believe it? Because there's no scientific evidence that any of that is true. All right. Like nothing with horoscopes. None. Zero. Yeah. It's fantasy land. Yes. Okay. Number three. Aaron Rodgers going back to Pittsburgh was more about Pittsburgh being addicted to being pretty good than chasing a Super Bowl. Because they're not going to want to Super Bowl there on Roger. Heck no. And they could have cut bait. I think they have four quarterbacks in that quarterback room right now. They could have gone and just lost and done a Miami, done a Cleveland, done a Arizona, done that. But they wanted Rodgers for another year. And I think they just are just kind of obsessed with being a little bit above 500 or 500.

1:32:03Yeah. And now is the time when they cut bait with their head coach, Tom one for after what, 15, 20 years, whatever it was. And you still can't cut the bait. So yeah. I think Pittsburgh, that organization is addicted to being pretty good. Which we'll be frustrating in the fan. Number two, elected officials and judges should have to retire by age 75. Yes. Yes. That's it. Yes. There's no reason. Not really a hot take. No. Yeah, man, because we've seen, we've seen. We worry if people are 80 driving a car. Yes. You can straight out. And our last two presidents have been 100. Yeah. The pendulum's got a swing, but the problem is it's going to be baby president. It's going to be somebody super young next. They could be. What's the youngest age ever? I don't know. I probably put Kennedy as youngest elected. I think maybe there was a president younger than him that was put in my confac check me on this, but I think Kennedy was ever was the youngest ever elected. Maybe Bill Clinton was second, but I think there may have been one that was put in office

1:33:08that was younger that wasn't elected. I think Obama was younger than Bill Clinton, right? Possibly. Mike, what do you say? 43 years old and Teddy Roosevelt at 42. Teddy was 42. But he went in assassination after assassination. Oh, got it. Got his his forces. But yeah, youngest elected was J.F.K. Hey, pretty good. Pretty good, dude. How old do you have to be? 35? I don't. After the pendulum swings? Well, perfect. Perfect. We're going to have teenage president. Now you can't drive your car because you're not old enough. Yes. And here was my number one. Rings are the most overrated argument in sports. It's not a chips matter, but we've gotten lazy and we've turned every individual debate into jewelry and rings. Robert Ori has seven rings. Charles Broccoli has zero rings. Nobody with functioning eyes or a brain thinks Robert Ori was better. Winning is evidence, but it's not the entire case. And in reality, none of those were hot takes. I just say that at the beginning because they all make a lot of sense. You agree with all of them? Yeah. So that was it. Yeah. It's just I feel like everyone, it's their go-to argument.

1:34:10Not even like with the Brady. I'm like, oh, he has almost rings, but he's also was the greatest. No, it's ring based. Brady's is ring based fully because if you're taking a quarterback, you take all the rings away. I'm not taking Brady first. Oh, who are you taking? Pay manning. Oh, stop. One season, one Super Bowl run. It's not even that. He was his own offensive coordinator. Like he actually ran the offense. I think that's it. But I'm not saying he's better because you have to go because it's close and then you go to championships. Yeah. And then it's not close. So if you were to say there was never a Super Bowl played and we're just looking at these guys playing regular seasons, I'm taking Brady. I'm taking paid manning over anybody. And then probably Aaron Rogers. Okay. You just like the guys that just talking yell at the line of scrimmage and. And that's why Aaron Rogers. Yeah. It's hard to take any of those 80s quarterbacks like Joe Montana, which they just didn't have to throw the ball a lot. Oh, Joe Montana J.A. rice connection was. I think though if I were taking I would take Steve Young over Joe Montana. Oh, I think he was a better quarterback.

1:35:11Now we're on hot takes. Well, because Steve Young could have run. Sure. And playing in today's league, Steve Young would fit much better than Montana. Yeah. He was also a champion too. And Damirino. Yeah. Right on. Later on, he could move his legs, but paid manning can move his head. His neck. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Rogers came with anything either. All right. That's it. Thank you guys.
