And we will dive into that game from the flight plans to the exceptional play by some of the 49ers guys to the disaster that was the Rams and Stafford and Miles Garrett.

3:06Because that trade through one game, we had a long way to go. We traded first round picks and first and second round picks and third round picks. We're going to need a little more production if you're shot unless need, but we'll dive into all that as well as some thoughts, you know, AJ Brown, Sam Darnold, Drake May. And then we'll just go through some of the big games this weekend. I thought, you know, the morning games, some actually pretty good ones. So we'll fire through those, maybe hit a couple college games as well on the way out and get you guys into the weekends. Just a great time to watch football. I can't wait. Is this goes back to the owner's meetings, which if you remember correct, who's kind of defined after the fact by a Sedona trip, but at those owner's meetings, there was an interview that was Mike Floreo, Chris Sims, Matt LaFlore and Kyle Shanahan.

4:21And LaFlore, who obviously is in the crew, poked Shanahan and got him going about this Australian game, the Australia game, that the 49ers were going to play the Rams. And this is, you know, three or four months, when is this probably May? Was it before the draft? I don't even remember. It was a long time ago. And Kyle was pissed. I guess it would have been after the schedule came out. And he was not happy. And the reason he wasn't happy was because the Rams had specifically gone to the leak, which I guess I assume at the beginning of the season when the commanders play the dolphins or the Eagles play the culture, whatever. It's just kind of random. They just take, you know, you kind of know you're going to lose a game for an international game. They give you a city and they pick one of your games. I had never heard maybe maybe I'm naive. Maybe I'm not dialed in enough to the way the logistics go that you could request an opponent. And the Rams requested and basically said the only team they wanted to play was the 49ers because one, the 49ers sell out so far.

5:30And two, you know, basically ruined a night or tent depending on, you know, the given year, a home game for them, which would also screw the Niners because playing the Rams is their easiest travel game of the year. I mean, it's from San Jose to LAX. I don't know, 40 minutes in the air. Not even. I mean, it doesn't get much easier. Hell, it's a five-hour drive. Maybe a little longer, five and a half. But it's not very far. And Kyle was furious. And then this entire week, the story of the week was like, did I envision the 49ers beat the living? You know what out of the Rams? No, did I like the Niners in this spot? I did. Kyle is a long history against McVeigh. It's gone really well. He's now 12 and seven against him in the regular season. Also, he brings where he morse, who knows McVeigh exceptionally well. So their knowledge of him was high, but it was the 49ers got out there. I was Texan guy Haberman, who was the voice of the 49ers tonight. And he sent him many pictures before the game. The place looked cool, empty. He's like, bro, I'm spent a bit here since Friday.

6:3649ers got their last Friday. Well, Australia Friday, our Thursday. They've been there a week. And the hubris, the cockiness, the arrogance of the Rams was on full display. Listen, they trade picks for players like they're going out of style. Their organization is known as fuck them picks. They just traded for a guy, Miles Garrett, who had a goose egg. And honestly, it looked like me or you on the sideline suck and win. And their big thing was the 49ers all week long were the ambassador for the leak. And then their team president, Kevin D. Moff is online popping off, you know, different people about we're just coming the day before. It's like, okay, that's insane. It was crazy when they did it, especially when you factor in their quarterbacks almost 40 years old. Miles Garrett's an older player who's been injured, Devonta Adams 35 years old. And they look like they were running a quicksand. Meanwhile, the 49ers like kind of a win for their scientists, Rams scientists on the hot seat because the 49ers look like well-rested, a custom party.

7:45A custom to the the time. I mean, they kicked off a 10 30 in the morning. And after Stafford through that pick, floodgates open and the 90ers beat the living hell out of them. That was a beat down. The Fred Warner was the best player on the field. Debo and Mike Evans dominated McCaffrey and Black who somehow didn't get an invitation to the combine. I don't know who's he's starting running back for. Cal Poly. No, the Indiana Hoosiers didn't lose a game. The starting quarterback went one overall. They're running back or I mean, their wide receiver went in the first round. Another wide receiver. I think went in the third to the Ravens. Maybe the fourth Sarat. I don't know. You guys watch them play. Guys pretty good. I watched them tonight. Look, look awesome. He's been awesome all preseason. I think combined for over 130 yards. And it wasn't even fair. And it's kind of understandable. Now the 49ers would have played well against them no matter what because we talk about super teams all the time. When the 49ers star players are healthy, which is always a big if. And they might have knock on wood lost the guy they just drafted 33rd overall that look like an up and coming player in the preseason.

8:56Like he had a bright future. Let's hope he doesn't have a torn Achilles and he just pulled his calf. But like I don't know the 49er Fred Warner's best player on the field. Debo look faster and every one of their DB's. He had Mike Evans moss in the dude in the corner of the end zone. He had pretty run around the fresh legs slinging that pill around after a shaky start. You had both a flying off the edge. Look fresh. He had 45 year old Trent Williams who granted he's a hall of favor. Just stone walling Miles Garrett that everyone's been like, oh my god. Greatest things since sliced Brent and Miles Garrett's good. But one I didn't understand like what if I had Miles Garrett. And I looked at your offensive line and you had five Trent Williams. I'd go well. It doesn't really matter where we line him up right over the tackles over the guards like he's going to go up against a great player. 49ers have one Trent Williams. And these are going down the line of scrimmage. You don't need to be Howard mud to go. Yeah, you know, they got some question marks cold McKibvits who the 49ers trying to tell you is like Lane Johnson 2.0.

10:04Commendable effort and he's been a long time starter now. He's not Trent. I didn't understand why he wasn't lining up on that side every time. But the 49ers like the team speed just I'm not even talking the execution any of like the play calling the schemes. Because tonight last night was a lot about scheme when Mike McDonald in the second half they had to settle down Drew lock. And they had to call some easy place for him to kind of get him going and they had to dominate with the blitz on defense. Right. And as that second half went, it was like we're going to get Drake may off the spot. That game after the Ronaldo green interception, which is guy that was kind of coming into training camp. There were some question marks about that the schematics had nothing to do with it. It was we're fresher. We're better and we're going to beat the shit out of you that that looks like a game. Honestly, you see more on Saturdays. Where's like one team's just better than the other. And this gets back to showing up the day before one of my good buddy Scotty who lives down Newport Beach was just in Bali.

11:11I don't even know for work or wedding. Not even ask him shows you guys my wife that was her friend. She would know everything he did everything she did. But guys were like, what are you doing? Just long flight. And he got a he got a connection out of Sydney and flew back to obviously something like L.A.X. And I think he landed Monday afternoon and he texted me tonight. Big night or guy. He's like, bro, I still don't feel the same like that. That flight. Matt Stanford is old. Devont Adams is old. Miles Garrett hasn't been playing. Now you could argue like did the nighters need to go for seven days. Maybe they could have gone for five. But the other thing is my Maria my wife sent me this thing today of the scientists who deals with marathon runners. And when they go on trips like this, you know, whether it's Indonesia, whether it's Australia. The science behind some guys do the Kyle Shanahan thing and some guys do the Sean McVeigh thing and historically over studies that there hasn't necessarily been a right or wrong answer.

12:14But the one thing is when you do the Kyle Shanahan method, the 49ers now are on Australian time. So they are their body clock is set to Australia, which as of recording this. I can't even do the math. Let's just say it's two in the afternoon, right on Friday. Well, they're going to land back in the Bay Area probably afternoon night Friday. It's like, well, they're going to be it's going to take them a while. Who can it's Friday afternoon. You don't have anything to do. You don't have a game till the following Sunday. You don't have to do anything Saturday. You don't have to do anything Sunday. I would imagine the 49ers after that, ask kicking while have like a light walk through film study Monday. You get Tuesday off. You don't practice for like six more days. The Rams, this notion of like, well, it sets them out for the rest of the season. Their next game is Monday night football.

18:33Part of even the Patriots for shitty is that night is it's like you get a long time to take a deep breath. Get your body clock. You have a huge advantage week to it's obviously incredible for Seattle getting the win. But like you get this extra break. If you win this first game on now Wednesday and I you know where I stand. I think this Australia thing is going to become a thing. I think they do this again next year and I think I haven't been told me they got signed like two more games. So I bet there's a game next year and a game the following years it was cool. But you get a you get a mini by week. That's that's a huge benefit of winning a Thursday night game. The difference of this Thursday night game is it was a lead in preseason where you could set yourself up. This is not your next week. I think it's the bills. I got so much football on my mind with the Thursday night game next week. I think it's pretty good. But that's tough because you just played a game on Sunday. So I think this most normal people you didn't need to go to like I don't know what the best college is in the Saudi science.

19:39But like this one this seems kind of crazy. This seems kind of nuts. And all those people were proven 100% right because it showed. I don't make days probably talking now in some us you know Australian locker room at his press conference. I don't give a shit what he says it was a mistake. Well we did that we flew out the 12 hours before the Jaguar game. Okay, I mean five hours across the country is a little different animal than flying basically to Antarctica. I mean come on man. Deserve that one. And you know the ball don't lie thing you beg for this team. If you want to be like begging for the Cardinals or begging for the dolphins or some crappy team on your schedule. So yeah, okay, I kind of get it. You want to get a win internationally. But no they want all the easy teams at home. They begged for division rival and they got it handed to him belt to jet lagdass. Fred Warner was the best player on the field.

20:39In this notion I've been arguing with Colin doing these shows. I see all these people thinking the Niners now listen. Can they stay healthy for however many more months. Major question mark very fair. We know that substation can come out of nowhere. Even though someone sent me a DM that that specific substation the EMS are actually lower than most. But regardless we take that substation very seriously. When their top end players are on the field. There is good as anybody. Trent Williams won the greatest left tackles of all time. Still at 38 39 years old he's an elite player. Fred Warner is the best middle linebacker in the league. Skinny D. Bo Samuel when they resigned anyone could have had D. Bo. Like think about this a couple years ago D. Bo Samuel and Brandon I. Euk started trending the other way. I you started trending up. This great route runner younger guy more explosive. D. Bo battle some weight issues struggled in the soup bowl. And a couple years later one guy it shows you no one ever question.

21:42And one thing the 49ers have like their high end core star players. Mike Evans fits that bill perfectly. Exactly what Seattle does elite competitive character. Elite competitive character. Now those guys aren't always on the field by the end of last year half of them were gone. But if all those guys are on the field and healthy they are. I mean how many of them Hall of Famers Fred Warner Hall of Famer Trent Williams Hall of Famer. You know Georgia stats. I don't know but like that's a Hall of Fame player to me. Mike Evans now Hall of Famer. I mean Christian McCaffrey Hall of Famer. Like these aren't just like random pretty good players like these are some of the great players of their era. Who I watch tonight. Like still pretty good. I'll promise you this next week they'll still be pretty good. Oh yeah their coach who early on I was a little nervous. You get the car accident you get a bad concussion even he said he's like in tears control his emotions. It's pretty serious.

22:43I could tell probably by the middle of training camps okay Kyle's back. And then by this Australian week when he was making the joke about the time zone with his family like okay Kyle is. Kyle feels back like the normal Kyle and honestly one thing I've noticed with Kyle Shanahan. Because listen if I'm going to be critical of the the Rams arrogance and hubris like Kyle's got some of that. I'm going to be a good guy who can rub some people the wrong way. I do feel a little bit lighter Kyle after the car accident. How could you not? I don't know if he saw his life flash before his eyes. But he definitely saw his eye flash before his eye because he almost lost it. I mean he was in a traumatic car accident. And I do think that gives you a little perspective in life. Probably humbles you a little bit. And no one's ever questioned his like football acumen. How good of a coach he is. We all agree one of the best coaches in the league. And on a given week he can beat anybody except the chiefs who somehow own the 49ers.

23:43But everyone else he's basically beat. And I think you saw a driven guy a driven team props to Raheem Morse who was had that defense. I mean Fred Warner dominated but Greenlaw the DBs were all hidden in Ronaldo Green making plays. But you could feel boasts as explosiveness. They look good. I mean they really beside the one play that Puka broke down the sideline. That you got a pretty sweet stiff arm on Greenlaw. Who goes a monster? Would have liked that touchdown for fantasy. But I swore if I played fantasy I wasn't going to do that. Whenever I'm listening to a podcast someone does that. I'd know when cares about your fantasy team. But I mean he was on like the quarter inch line. I just think the 49ers you talk about super teams like are there is their talent that much better. I mean seriously is it that much of a difference? I do think the Rams like I was watching the day a lot of videos from WEEI the New England radio station.

24:50I am a sucker for just good old school radio. And it only exists in a couple markets now. I mean true Philly Boston New York can't just the anger of the edge after a bad loss. That to me is pretty special after a bad loss peak sports radio is is just way better than after a good win. It just is and there's just an edge to a lot of markets. The Chicago would have this with the Chicago Bears Dallas would have this with the Cowboys. The Rams in this with the 49ers definitely have it. I've lived it. The Rams like yeah it's it's a Dodger Laker town. And honestly if if Lincoln gets this thing going they look pretty good so far like S.E. football's bigger in the Rams. The Rams are a national story but they always get to kind of fly under the radar. Right in Pittsburgh over the last 10 years like that place Benedji. You know that place I've seen some clips from like Detroit radio.

25:52That's people get pissed off. Rams like you think anyone's like Miles Garrett was a bad move. It's like there's no radio station tomorrow taking phone call like it's like what's Otoni's deal. Like is Mark Walters like is what's happening here. And they get to fly under the radar a little bit in this situation. And they really have most of McVase 10 year. Not that they're not a major story in a big brand. But they are not talked about in leading every show from a negative standpoint. Like the Eagles the Patriots the Cowboys the Steelers the Green Bay Packers. They're not what Jay-Jama Cartoon the minute it feels like they do get to avoid some of that. I don't think they avoid it this year definitely not nationally. Because you trade for Miles Garrett you put this target on your back. And it's like listen he looked terrible tonight. I mean for a guy that you just traded half your draft for and are paying a ton of money.

26:52Now he's banged up but it is a little concerning. Like sometimes in sports and I'm not going to write the guy off he's truly all time freak and great athlete. But I've lived long enough to see some great players in all sports get dealt and then never quite look the same. It's like well Aaron Donald's coming back well he hasn't played in a couple years he's 35 years old. And clearly he wasn't ready to play this game and I saw a story that he no guarantee to play the second game. Now you'd be like well they're they're getting ready for their stretch run. It's like okay. I mean their star wide receiver like the elephant in the room is the contract like the 49ers their drama is the injuries. That's unavoidable. That a couple of night lost taunages lost the stribbling. That'll continue. But like there's no contract situations with the team. I mean look at parties a great example. He thoroughly outplayed Matt Stafford tonight. Now am I acting like party is a better player than Matt Stafford based on one game.

27:55I'm not and I do think the jet lag affected Matt Stafford and Miles Garrett more than all the other guys. Clearly Matt Stafford who didn't he was four of 11 and a half time. But this is the thing with Brock and we talked about it with Drake last night of like we'll see if Drake's any good. Like Brock's a good player. Can we just get this over with like Brock party is a good player. He has series and he will throw some of the worst picks in the league. He did it tonight. I'm just an atrocious interception warriors fool. But like his play the ballie through to Mike Evans for the the fade touchdown the 49ers have never had a guy like that. Like Devonte Adams led the league in touchdowns. That's a Devonte Adams play all day long. The 49ers have never had that guy. Joanne Jennings kind of didn't want Jennings to like $4 million in the open market from the Minnesota Vikings. He's got Mike Evans who's the first bout hall favorite. And like the thing with party is once he gets in a rhythm and if you can run the ball a little bit. That's when he turns into a top 10 quarterback and tonight top 10 quarterback.

28:57Is he ever going to be peak homes or Josh Allen or like Lamar Jackson? No. But is he better than the overwhelming majority of guys and with Kyle Shanahan a dominant duo 100%. It's why if staffers a little off like there is no playmaking with his feet. Now he's a elite pocket quarterback. But if you can rush him and hit him like you're not going to make anything after the play. And I don't know if the Rams were throwing the game or whatever. But the four of 49ers treated this bad boy like a very serious operation. And it showed. And back to the super team like I lived it in Philadelphia my second year when Vince Young called it the dream team. Which is pretty laughable to think back now. And especially when I started listening to some of the players who were included in that they were at it. But the Eagles are a more polarizing team and talked about team in the Rams. Especially locally. Right. That they just they're they're discussed like the Yankees or the Laker. I mean in their own market that they they are the lead dog.

29:59And then naturally they're always a big story. But when you place that moniker next to a team. We see it in basketball a ton when LeBron went to the heat when Katie came to the Warriors. That adds an element of like everyone's paying attention. Everyone's paying attention. And obviously tonight's on a primetime game. But like throughout the season like what's going on my was Garrett is he living up to the hype. It's like Stafford continuing it like they do just. The 49ers all their star players have a lead football character. Like there have been some stories of different guys on the Rams that yeah got some red flags. I mean I just do. I mean I don't know Google their left tackle. So this notion that I always said this. Their team looks excellent on paper. Their coach is awesome. You'd have to be a fucking moron to say Sean McVeigh is not high end elite. But football doesn't just work like I'll just take this third basement take this left fielder take these three starters and boom.

31:03We'll win 110 games because it works in baseball. That is not how football works. Football is about chemistry. Obviously injuries play a factor. Who's ascending who's descending age. Some guys are hitting their prime. Some guys are leaving their prime. Chemistry how it works in the locker room do you like each other. And I just think we'll see. Do I think this team's winning four or five games I don't. But like just there were some lock to be the number one seed like the difference between the one seed and nine and eight in this sport is pretty small. Is pretty small. I mean last year the chiefs went six and eleven and they literally lost. Well it was like ten one score games every one score game they lost. They were in if you watch the chiefs play up until the end of the season when the homes got hurt they were literally in every game. You know the Broncos were the opposite. They were losing and the bears they were losing in all their games. And then both of them would come back and win them all Broncos the one seed bears win the division. Football the margin most of these games.

32:03You look at like some of these points spreads there's a reason they're not this isn't college. It's not 40 points. It's not 28 points. Some of the points spreads this week in college. I saw a couple of fives like not minus five fifty. In the NFL the Chargers Cardinals at ten points week one is nuts most hover around two to four till we figure it out for a while. We know that AJ Brown has a high ankle sprain which is less than ideal.

39:32I mean, who knows? This is a guy who's battled injuries before. He's wide receivers are different than linemen. I mean, that's not a that's a bad injury. I mean, who knows how long he's going to be out. Obviously, Sam Donald looks like a void at a hip fracture which would have ended his season. We don't know the exact injury as of recording this, but he's going to miss this upcoming week and then we'll see I'm sure we'll get more information come out in the next couple of days as he seeks opinions and the rehab process. But by all the reports today, Sam Donald is not going to miss the season, but him and AJ Brown, I think it's fair to say like I don't plan on seeing them in September. And that's lose your quarterback. You lose your prize off season transaction to add to the offense. Not ideal. I mean, there's no other way to put it. I mean, that's a kick in the you know what? Right off the bat week one. And I do think just a piggyback on what we talked about yesterday would drake May is I think the powerful part about football is like all the games matter.

40:43You know, especially against other good teams will give you a you know, throw in touchdowns against bad teams kind of the expectation. If you don't play bad against a bad team and the game is you know a regional game on Sunday morning against loss. But if you're playing another good team in a prime time spot college or pro, that's a highly judge contest. And rightfully so every coach talks about this over and over. You only get so many of them and drake May's performances against the good teams over the course of last two years as everyone's reported on and the stats have been flying around over the last 24 hours. It's aren't good. And I'm not trying to bury the guy football is very hard. It took paid manning a long time to become a really good player. Tom Brady wasn't considered that good like five years into his career and the guy already had three soup balls. Like he's being carried by his defense like it's part of the sport. You know, 24 year old guy. But like there are some flaws right and to me one major flaw because he's got all the physical attributes.

41:48And then you factor in the intangible like no one questions the guy's toughness right he gets hit unfazed gets right back in there. Decision making is a big deal right to me decision making an accuracy typically go hand in hand. But decision making is something to question after last night. They have three fourth quarter interceptions to throw an interception in the red zone which back in the day would have got you. I mean that's the word inexcusable gets thrown out a lot like we all do a lot of quote unquote inexcusable things right. That inexcusable means like there is something serious coming down the pike. That's not the case is not like the guys are going to get cut or benched. But that was a glaring moment and that was something that's going to be hard for people to forget. And I heard I listen to some like Boston sports radio clips today. One thing that's not really deniable is Josh McDaniel's entire career.

42:53His his start him was with Tom Brady who is going to go down as the greatest decision maker in the history of the leak. And the entire offense was predicated on the guy that didn't move more than a couple yards left to right. He is never excelled even Matt Jones was much closer to a version of Tom Brady than the version of Drake May who moving around and sometimes probably too soon is a big part of his game. And not what Josh McDaniel's is thrived with. And you know a lot of pushback has been Josh's play calling not allowing him to open up the offense hammering the run doesn't trust him. I do think philosophically like I think about this all the time. You know politics is just a hot button issue now in this modern day culture. It'd be pretty difficult in 2026 to date to marry someone with dramatically different political beliefs. Right because that's kind of your core philosophy of life. Right some of the stuff I mean you know who wants to pay taxes but I'm talking about some like core moral things like you got to be on the same page with your partner.

44:02Right business like not as important. Lot of Republicans and liberals are partners and make a lot of money. You know they don't give a shit because Chiching. But I do think when it comes to football it's kind of like that. Sometimes you got to you know line up this was my question when Ben Johnson got with Caleb lambs. Then Caleb was so good at the end of the games like well Ben you're going to have to meet him in the middle a little too. He's he's got so much in the tank like comparing Caleb has gears that Drake does not have. Right in terms of arm strength in terms of speed and mobility and Drake's mobile guy. But like just a higher level like a little more velocity. Drake's balls kind of floating the air and some of that could have been. Uncertainty but like. You know you can hit 50 home runs throughout 162 games. And if we did the analytics and broke down all your home runs came off third fourth and fifth starters.

45:03And sometimes guys that weren't even in the rotation knows because of injuries guys they called up you never hit a home run. Up the first or second guy in a rotation. He'd be like no one would care. I mean James Harden became guy made like $700 million. I've just annihilating teams like the magic and the kings and just everyone in the regular season. And then the post season will come is dramatically different player. But it's like hey fuck this guy the peak of his powers unsolved before the regular season. It's like not going to work in the playoffs. But football it's like. We kind of know what translates and we know what it looks like against the best opponents. It's why I think Lamar has been such a polarizing guy like we've seen him in the biggest games in the regular season. Look incredible you know it's like that's as good as it gets and then he doesn't look like the guy we see in the regular season in the post season. But I've seen it. It was my take you know of like hey listen I can't put Drake may up with the elites. Because we can nitpick post season performances with some of that crew not named Patrick Behomes.

46:07Right obviously Josh Allen not a great game last year when it mattered the most miss some big throws Lamar has those moments. Herbert awful moments in the playoffs right. Bro shitty hasn't been there in a couple years. Especially two years ago which was technically his fault. But you know what I mean like no one questions in the trenches with those guys in a big game in October November and December. Regardless of the opponent that they can get it done. That is 100% a question right now with Drake may and it's fair. It doesn't mean that he can't figure it out over the course of the next couple years. But like he wasn't anytime you finish second in the MVP. It's like God this guy's an elite. I think like some of the one off guys let's use Cam Newton who his MVP year was by far his best year. I watched a lot of Cam Newton games not MVP when he was on I don't give a shit who he was playing. He was not easy to play against. Right now Drake may like when he is no he's gonna get no credit moving forward throwing a couple touchdowns against the dolphins or the jets or any of the bad teams on their schedule.

47:13But when he plays the high end competition he's gonna be judged very very closely especially the teams with the good pass rushes and good defenses. In playoff level teams you know and I just think that that was a conversation that he got somewhat of a pass in the playoffs. I'm all for it year two no one saw it coming after last night is like damn because like well tough opponent on the road. Loudest place in the league batter Kansas City elite defense best defensive coach. Okay, but there are 10 nothing and then he just throw in the ball to the other team. And sometimes you have a ball like goes off of guys hands and hits the guy in the bread. It's like that pick we've been saying this forever not all interceptions are equal totally true. We're all in agreement there all three of his picks were atrocious and they got worse you know that the first pick bad like lobbed it up right. Honestly the flea flicker was an awful throw. The second pick in fairness dobs drop the ball before okay well it's football that happens and you got to play the next play was Julian love caught that thing and stride.

48:22And then obviously the third pick is I was thinking about this last night. If you take all the good teams however many that turns out to be let's say 14 teams make the playoffs 16 17 18 teams right teams nine and eight and above like teams competing to make the playoffs or in the playoffs. I don't know if you'll find a worst interception all 18 weeks when you factor in backup quarterback all game long you're in the red zone you have a chance to win it and 100% a lock to go to overtime the only thing you cannot do like hell you can take a sack. You cannot under any circumstances throw a ball up in the end zone like that which was I mean just an atrocious pass. You'll be hard pressed when you factor in the situation the score again all the good teams I'm not talking bad teams I'm not talking picks like it's got to be a fourth quarter pick with the game in the balance they're going to be awful picks but like you can throw a bad pick in the second quarter you throw a bad pick with whatever under 45 seconds 30 seconds left whatever the time was on the clock that's I you be hard pressed to find something to rest of the season in a match up against too good.

49:33Hell it could be a good team versus bad team in a tight game it's the NFL so man that's that's a tough one Brabels got a Brabels got a shake this off the other thing I noticed this last night two things about the broadcast not to Rico and Collins worth who I love but Mike Tomlin adjacent gear and I want to start with Tomlin first. I was talking we were talking after the show and my producer Shane and I was like you know because he was like Tomlin brings good vibes that's true like this is something about having Tom in there that's like fun and loose and he's a good addition just the person out total agreement maybe my expectations are too high. I would just love every once in a while like this was Sean Peyton on Fox who everyone thought he was incredible he did Sean Peyton talks a lot of shit about a lot of people whenever I'd watch him with Colin or on TV like wasn't really doing it you know he does it way more when he's a coach Mike Tomlin has a lot of takes on a lot of people in the league and maybe my hope was just every once in a while he'd be like you know this guy can't stand it just going on and it's it's probably not going to happen.

50:49You know because Tomlin just talking like Tomlin in the Pittsburgh Steelers press conference like I've seen that for 15 years it's cool he's he's enjoyable but I would like a little like Ron real Mike and I understand he's going to go back next year or probably the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buckeneers the Washington commanders I get it I don't think him just mixing it up a little bit is going to hurt that I don't think it'll phase it at all I would just love to get over the course of the season. Just a couple nugs of just what he really feels and Jason Garrett is essentially like when I was born in the 80s everyone on TV was just complete phony they had huge smiles fake hair there's like yeah time to be here the news reading it was just complete opposite of the modern day digital media space which is just raw real no one gives a shit which again is I am I bias I lean that way I just like be a normal human being

57:38the games that we're going to talk about on the big TV and then the other TV will just have you know Jets Titans and some of the other random games so I think what I'm going to do right now is go this is my morning four box and I actually think this week it's pretty easy it's Baltimore Indy bills at Houston lines at Saints in Tampa at Sinc and then Chicago Carolina there's some other crappy games going on to the morning might just get the small TV by itself I mean I Jets Titans I'm sorry no shade and either franchise that's probably not getting much much of my oxygen maybe I'll throw it up there with Chicago Carolina but I wanted to go through those those four main games and just what I did is I wrote down some questions because that's kind of go into the season like we don't know that much like you just kind of asking questions or wondering what it's going to look like like with the Ravens at Indianapolis let's start with Indy who is a home dog like they were really good with the annual Jones

58:42they were one of the greatest offenses we'd ever seen I think statistically they technically were up to the point in which he left are they going to be that team because if they are that team they're going to be a problem the team once he left they had no shot right and by the end they had you know 45 year old Philip Rivers who actually made some place you know being their quarterback so I just I want to know with Indy like who are they the team with Daniel Jones was that a mirage is is he going to resort back to kind of the crappier player that we once knew are they just is he and chainstiking just a good fit I got no clue I really don't I'm very very intrigued and to me with Baltimore is like there are I hear a lot of people whether it's different podcasts different posts I've just seen it out a lot of people picking the Ravens to make it the soupable and definitely be one of the top three or four teams in the league which listen they got an all-time great talent

59:44quarterback met a beat met a bouquet who a couple years ago when they were a lead on defense was their best defense a player with Hamilton like what's he look like with the neck you know I saw he was limited participant I think on Wednesday's practice I didn't look on Thursday but that just is he just back to being a dude and I get back to like Mike McDonald who is I think we all agree one of the elites now in the league like that guy would you see Mike McDonald you go a lead head coach his first year like little bumpy they they had a stretch where they lost a bunch of games I think five out of six games and it's not easy they missed the playoffs now they were ten and seven and that's kind of what I peg the Ravens to do now the difference is they had a geno Smith they got Lamar Jackson they had Ryan grub they got Declan Doyle but Ryan grub never called plays in the NFL Declan Doyle's never called plays in the NFL I just got some questions I mean I prepared to be wrong

1:00:44I don't know I do know this whoever wins this game if Indy beats Baltimore people are gonna be OK Indy's legit with Dan Jones it's clear he's a quarterback like they're a legitimate playoff threat and if the Ravens win it'll validate everyone that's thinking their suite because going on the road week one Indy's not an easy place to play they got a bunch of good players I think whoever wins this game there's one other game I would say in the morning slate that's you're really gonna be feeling good but this it's like OK this is a legitimate playoff team builds at Houston I was watching doing a little babysitting due to this morning my man just we are this in the trenches sleep wise we're trying to transition some sleep training we were gressed I mean it's we got we got some issues so sleep patterns are all over the place I could be you know breeding the iPad like four in the morning but I saw a stat on television that Josh Allen and his career is one and four against the Texans

1:01:49and I remember a couple years ago because we went live right after me and Colin there was a game that like Sean McDermott screwed up at the end I thought it was at the end of the game punnid or something weird happened but I vividly remember last year when Josh Allen got sucked eight times and it felt like he could have been sucked 30 times and this is like my main question would Buffalo is like can they handle this front sometimes you see it in basketball you definitely see it in football some teams are just bad matchups for the other team for whatever reason and it does feel like Buffalo I mean I again I have it seared into my memory I think was it Monday night football or Sunday night football it was a massacre of Josh Allen look like me or you back he had no shot typically can run away and break that you ain't doing that against these guys so I just that one's hard to shake and to me it's like are they going to be able to handle this defense because they could not handle them last year

1:02:51and the other thing on the Houston side is like Houston won that game I think the final score is like 23 19 which is kind of crazy given the exact eight times it shows you like I mean the bills bills are really good team and I think they're going to be really good again but they won that game with Davis Mills you know Davis Mills there's he threw two touchdowns the big question mark is like what is CJ strad is he good is he worth giving a huge extension to you know by all rumors and stuff on the internet make of it what you will like he ain't into the bagger may feel Sam D'Arnold extensions well it's like ACJ and David Mougetta I don't think they're into the 200 million dollar extension so you better play better if you want to see that I think Houston defense like for as good as Seattle is I think Houston's defense on a different level and Seattle's the cream of the crop I think is the best defense elite picked him on a fantasy team I think will Anderson is going to be defensive player of the year it all comes down to like can this guy just be a game manager no one's asking you to be Josh Allen I think that's been hard for CJ strad you the second pick in the draft you see all the elite guys you're like I'm one of them

1:04:00I said you're not and there's nothing wrong with that like bro you could make hundreds of millions of dollars I don't want to say dinking and dunking but just managing the offense with this franchise and I'm fascinated to see how this looks because I would say this Houston's a dog at home which to me's like guys I mean we just saw this game last year Houston wins this game they'll feel great but it's like we beat the bills before like their issue has been some weird other games Jacksonville they've had some weird games against for sure I do think this would be a bigger win for the bills just given their history against this team like that eight sacks that is that's really really bad lions and saints listen I'm a sucker when I pick you I I thought I was you know not alone wolf but cut out of my own out there everyone I see is picking the saints

1:05:02and listen I'm actually going the other way now a lot of good vibes in Tampa but and we'll get to them in a second if the saints beat the lions at home that is an incredible win I mean this is one of those if you like the saints to win the division and a lot of people think that winning that division's like nine ten wins most people aren't picking them to win this game I don't even feel good like I would not pick the saints this is probably a stay away from me but I am fascinated to watch like okay Towshuk people like me a lot of people around the league everyone's like this guy's pretty good listen a lot of people do it as a rookie hell Drake may beat the crap out of the crappy teams people started giving them the people's they started playing playoff teams like who is this guy but the lions aren't exactly the 85 bears here I'm fascinated to watch Towshuk and for the lions like your offense should be unstoppable this indoors where you play you should look so fucking fast I'm excited to just watch this lion seem this year I think their offense has a chance to be

1:06:14I mean top in the league and everyone took Jumir Gibbs number one in fantasy say brown is I don't know you a lot of people's just like favorite player for what a badass he is they they got it all I mean they got star left tackle really good quarterback I think Jared golf if their offense lives up to what I think it could be could be the MVP but this is a game to kind of get the lion swag back it's not like you know you're going on the road and beating the Eagles or beating the Rams or being Seattle but this is a good start this season go on the road damn Campbell used to coach here forever with Sean Payton get a win and get out this is fascinating me because I have the Saints to win the division and maybe this is like we have a long time to kind of get before the game start you have a lot of time to think and it's like a lot of things to happen I mean Vita Vaya requested a trade and Baker Mayfield was pissed and yesterday I see a press conference with Jason Light and Baker Mayfield their laugh and their hugging vibes great I mean they they're giving two contract extensions to probably their best two players not named Worfs
