All right, who's our three stars of the game for this matchup between the avalanche and the ducks? Special bonus episode of Lockdown avalanche coming to Acha. Your Lockdown avalanche, your daily podcast on the Colorado avalanche, part of the Lockdown podcast network, your team every day. All right everybody, welcome to our special three stars of the game episode that we've been doing over the last, it really seems to break I think. Yeah, Olympic break. So a bonus 10 minute episode or so, just want to throw out who we think to top three players, the three stars of the game were for the most recent game and that is the avalanche win over the Anaheim ducks. So let's dive into that and we'll first give you the actual three stars of the game were and because this was an Anaheim, you did get an Anaheim duck in here

and that is the third star of the game at Cutter Goat. It was once a goat, it is Goatier. I want to say Goatier as the somebody that I used to know Goatier. So he gets the third star as with the lone goal. Okay. Okay. I'll let Anaheim have it. I guess. I don't know, we're just going to have a five to one win. Did you kind of throw the other guy in there? Well, he did prevent your team from getting shut out. So if that's deserving of a star, good lord. Okay. Nathan McKinnon is your second star of the game and Parker Kelly is your number one star of the game. I'm just saying, Kell McCart at a three point game. He did. He did have a three point game and as I'm complaining about that, he is not in our three stars. Let's dive into our three stars and for our third star,

we're giving it to Nathan McKinnon. Figure we go with Nate. I'll put us over there. So Nate, mainly because the lone assist, I know he's a second star here in the overall game, but we're giving it to him because of the hundredth point of the season. And he played another good game. He's Nathan McKinnon. How often does he not play a good game? But to get that hundredth point, you're deserving of a star and you're our third star of the game. Yeah. Nate had a great game. The setup for the Gabe Landiscott goal that gave him his point for his hundredth point of the season was awesome. They I wish I'd listen to the radio call for the game because that definitely struck me as the Conor McGay, he's saying throw on the brakes and they'll fly right by. Yeah. Because that's that's what that looked like entirely. And then he just drops back to Landy, who hammers at home on an insanely good shot. But McKinnon looked good through the rest of the game. He was creating chances. He was driving the play. He was really forcing things to just sort of

bounce. I know in the regular episode, we said there was some some puck luck. I think some of that is caused by McKinnon just driving the game in the avalanche direction. So more than deserving of a third star for sure. Yeah. Absolutely. And we we threw around, you know, putting Landiscott on there too, because he's doing that the goal. Yeah. And for some comments that were said yesterday on a radio show, they kind of give him like, you know, you're you're disappointing season. Hey, your third star. He's struggling a little too much to get this job. It's basically what we decided on. If not for McKinnon hitting the century mark, probably would have went to Landiscott, you know, or kale or kale. Yeah, three point game. Again, like I said on the on the episode, like, oh, Nathan McKinnon hits the century mark, ho hum. Kill McCarr with a three point game, ho hum. It's so easy to put these guys on here anyway, but anywhere, but it's a century mark. He's

done it for four seasons in a row. You deserve a star. You do. Yes. Our second star of the game, that's going to Scott Wedgewood. I wasn't a big fan of the blue ones. I really wasn't. I just thought they were too dark. They almost just looked black. They didn't fit against the blue, the actual blue of the abs. That's like when he switched to these, I'm like, oh, you just took it into a different stratosphere. Those are gorgeous. I liked the dark blue, but I love these. These are chef's kiss. Perfect. Absolutely fantastic. And they clearly make him play better. I think so. So 100% think so. I had a coach in Little League that always said, you look good, you play good. And I think there's some truth to that. So I think there is. Yeah. So Wedgewood with a, I got rid of the set. Was it 960 something save percentage? 964 save percentage. Yeah. Stopped

to all eight high danger chances that he faced and shot or stopped to all nine medium danger shots that he faced, according to natural stat trick. Yeah. So the only one that got in was that it was a good play by Anaheim. So I can't really fall for it. Would have loved to see him get a shot out of course, but he played excellent. And then to get that save at the end of the game, there's a minute left, a minute 30, whatever it was. And you're up five to one. That puck goes in. It's not changing the outcome of the game at all. And yet he's completely sprawling out. Like he's just tiled in. And he has been for pretty much the whole season. So I love watching everything that Scott Wedgewood has done. Yeah. I thought Anaheim threw some good shots at him. Had some good scrums in front of the net. Had some good flurries in front of the net. I think

I think Anaheim did a poor job of capitalizing on those. But there was, you know, the defense collapsed pretty well. And Wedgewood did what he needed to do to knock a puck away with the stick or a pad or whatever. Just did what he had to do. It wasn't always pretty in this game for him, but he, you know, and he did get run over. It looked like he was down in the ice for a little while. He had a little bit of, you know, heart going up into your throat a little bit with how he was laying there. But, you know, responded from it, responded from it. So as he's done all year long. So another good one for Wedgey. Got to be happy about that. All right. We're going to get our loan break in here. And we come back. We'll get our number one star. And then hear from the subtext people as well who they have on their list. So we will do that next. We're going to hear from Fandall College basketball is nonstop big games tight spreads momentum

swings every single night from early tip off the late night west coast shootouts. There's always action on the board. Now Fandall is giving you a way to turn that energy into into even bigger potential wins with a college basketball parlay profit boost. You can go safe, go bold or ride at the team that you've been following all season long. It's your parlay, your style now with more upside behind it. Before the brackets are even out who you picking to win the whole the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah. You got a team. We'll go with CU. I don't even know if they're going to miss it. Are they giving it? Yeah. No. Yeah. I have no idea. But I'm going to go Colorado because wine. All right. All right. Well, I'm I followed mission. So I've got to go mission. I'm very good at filling out a bracket. I'm not good at filling out a correct bracket. But I'm very good at filling out. I can fill it out. I can feel it right. Best of them. My handwriting is impeccable.

So head to Fandall.com right now to get started. Fandall.com. Play your game. All right. Let's get to our number one star. And we are lined up with who the actual number one star was in this game. And that is Parker Kelly. Due to having a moment right now and he's just locked in, dialed in whatever phrase you want to say about Parker Kelly. He's it right now. And when guys like him are rolling, just make sure a team that much more difficult to play against to the way that he plays, like he's offensively, he's pitching in. You get offense from a guy like him. You will take that every single day. And then defensively, he's a great defensive forward too. So that's his game. And when you're you're really all season long, he's been pitching in offensively. So makes your opponent have to, you know, kind of have to plan for more than just the

Nathan McKinnon's of the world, believe it or not. I'm that same Parker Kelly's on the level of Nathan McKinnon. But it's like, hey, that Parker Kelly, I don't forget about him when he's at on the ice because he's playing pretty darn well lately. Yeah. I Parker Kelly has been in the way. I think last his season or career high, I mean, in a season was eight goals, and he's at 15 now with two on tonight. And there was there was an opportunity towards the end of the game where his line's out there. And Dostol is out of the crease and just out. And I'm like, I'll just feed it to feed it to Kelly. Get him the hat trick. I want to know. Stolbad did not come away with it, but he has been he's just able to he's putting himself in great positions anywhere that he needs to be. And that's like you said, when you have guys that are doing that, the other team has to adjust for the the lower lines, the bottom six to to try and stop that.

You have to stop that. And Nathan McKinnon and Kayle McCall are in game land. It's got to get Marty Necheson. It's like, oh God, when do we get a break? And you don't win guys are rolling like this. So yeah, Parker Kelly, I'm thrilled for him too. He just seems like such a good guy to root for. Like just just everything about it's awesome. Great feel, good time. Did you see that one like video altitude put up and they were asking the players, I think it was altitude or was it where was it the actual avalanche ex account on socials where they were asking players, who did you miss the most during the Olympic break? Yeah. And you didn't see that. You didn't see that. It's kind of funny. It's like what player did you miss the most? Parker Kelly's name was said the most, I think. Really? Yeah. Yeah. You got to go search that out of fine. I think it was on might have been on the avalanche page. And it wasn't an altitude thing. Might have been the avalanche page. But yeah, they're out there. Who'd you miss the

most? And his name was said more than yeah, it's it's cost funny. So yeah. All right, let's get our subtext. People see what they had to say. We got Adam. He's got Parker Kelly number three. And he says it could easily be the first star in this one. He's on fire. Number two, he's got casual three point night for Kim McCarr. And then number one, he puts Scott Wedgewood. So I, you know, I'm not going to argue with that at all. Yep. So Katie's got Nathan McKinnon at three. Kim McCarr at two, Parker Kelly at one, which we discussed. I just like let me have riches here. It's like there's no wrong answers. It's it's crazy. Let's see. Christina has Marty natious at number three for the power play goal. Okay Kelly at two. And Scott Wedgewood at number one says because he's so dang dramatic with his saves. And I was kind of flailing a little as I'm saying, like there was a lot of flurries

in front of him. And he needed to kind of flail around a little bit. So yeah, yeah. Um, not the judge in Palatino. Scott Wedgewood at number three because of his snow angels. Beautiful. Kale at number two and Parker Kelly at number one because scrappy do. Got a lot to do. Got a lot of it. Um, Madam Battleaxe natious at three. Oh, she's cheating. She put McCarr, she's put McCarr Wedgewood at number two. That is not a bad. I mean, not a battleaxe. I get what she's saying. We also did give the top line us the first star. We did our last episode. So I'll cut Madam Battleaxe. All right. Slack there. All right. Uh, Parker Kelly at number one for her as well. And then, uh, didn't that put anybody here? Yeah. Uh, Parker Kelly was the first star. Uh, Wedgewood at number two. Oh, and Beckett Seneca from the, the ducks at number three,

pulling four because he pulls my back for pulling the puck out of the net. That was most likely a goal for the ducks. Yep. Well done. That's, that's what I love. Perfect. So there you go. All right. School wonder on the abs today. Yeah. Um, what do you think? Anybody got any other players you want to throw on your top three, uh, your stars of the game throw it in the chat below. So, all right, let's gonna wrap it up for our three stars. So, uh, check out the, uh, regular locked on episode if you haven't checked that out yet. And then, of course, tune in tomorrow. We'll have a fresh episode of locked on avalanche tomorrow. All right. It's gonna be it. Mr. Zach Pearson. I am Chris Macelli. It's the three stars of the game. There you go. We're never wrong. Never.
