A Galveston County jury is sent in 61-year-old James Elmore to 20 years in prison for the role he played in the decades-old Texas killing feels case. NewsEdit 7's Julianna Washburn reports. Jurors decided Elmore sent in saying less than 24 hours after they found him guilty of manslaughter in the death of 16-year-old Laura Miller. Elmore was accused of preparing a vial of cocaine that prosecutors say ultimately led to Laura's death. Tim Miller, Laura's father, spoke directly to Elmore after the sentencing. Tim said, even though Elmore had a part in his daughter's death, he would do everything he could to keep Elmore's son alive while he's in prison. The damage has been done so deeply, even though you murdered my daughter, I'm going to do everything I can to try and keep your son alive.
