I dropped throughout the month Think of it as your insider pass So thank you for letting me be part of your journey and thank you for your time now. Let's get into today's episode If If you're over 40 which many of you are and managing a thyroid or hormone issue You know this feeling you're doing everything right but your energy is low your strength might be slipping at the gym
The scale definitely won't move and you hit just this wall you just can't push through So that was me and what finally changed wasn't Another energy drink. It was starting essential amino acids So here's the simple version these are Nine building blocks that your body can't make on its own They're what protein breaks down into except your body absorbs them almost instantly So no heavy digestion required They go straight to work Feeding your muscle building your muscles supporting your metabolism And that's what we all need So since I started taking them every day sometimes two three times a day I've noticed better energy faster recovery muscle building yes at the age of 52 Alongside my hormones Way more consistency in my workouts And I genuinely feel leaner and stronger. I really do
I have more muscle now than I had in my 20s when I was competing in bodybuilding competitions More muscle now because I'm feeding it the right way So even on rest days especially when I'm eating maybe a little bit less. I still take them to stay on track The brand I choose and have been using now for four years is Keon they're a sugar-free non-GMO vegan easy to digest and They taste amazing. That's why I put them in my water all day long So if you're trying to lose fat without losing muscle If you're on a GLP you better you had better be taking these every single day So you want to go to get keon.com forward slash thyroid for 20% off. That's g-e-t k-i-o-n dot com
forward slash T-h-y-r-o-i-d forward slash thyroid for 20% off get them nango get them berry They're just all good. They're all good. You will love it Is there truly one molecule that can destroy your gut destroy your brain cause Autism Alzheimer's cancer thyroid disease you name it Yes, there is and we are Consuming it and being exposed to it every single day every single day and we're going to talk today with my guest Dr. Stephanie Seneth on how to get rid of it what we can do about it how to protect our bodies But the reality of this it's pretty dark and dismal out there This isn't a sunshine and rainbows episode. Yes, there are things tips tools tricks That we can do to protect ourselves But unfortunately
This molecule is slowly destroying our health Day by day exposure by exposure Dr. Stephanie Seneth is my guest and this woman is nothing short of Brilliant and you're going to hear some really high-level science-based talk Then I kind of back up. I go okay, Stu. We got to break this down for people. Let's let's let's make it easy to understand So it's a high-level conversation, but listen to this woman Listen to our background. She's a senior research scientist at MIT, you know Just kind of doing this for fun on the side. Yeah, why not computer science and artificial intelligence laboratory and Cambridge best juices She has a BS degree from MIT and biology MS EE and PhD degrees from MIT and electrical engineering and computer science Her interest for the past two decades have focused on the role of toxic chemicals and micro nutrient deficiencies and health and disease with a special emphasis on
the pervasive herbicide glyphosate and then the mineral sulfur She's authored over 50 50 peer review journal papers on these topics Her book on glyphosate titled toxic legacy How the weed killer glyphosate is destroying our health and the environment is also out We're going to link to it down below in the show notes as well as her substack which is amazing This conversation is going to blow you away. It's going to enlighten you. It's going to scare you a little bit And then it's going to give you the tools of what you can do to protect yourself and your family Dr. Stephanie Senef thank you so much for joining me today I have I mean in the 600 and I don't even know 50 60s podcasts that we have I've not done a deep dive into glyphosate why it is such a threat To our health and well-being and I don't know why I happened because like I was sharing before we jumped on and as my listeners know
I live in Iowa. I'm pretty sure we are now ranked number one in cancer cases We have to be ranked number one in glyphosate use as I was driving home yesterday not really 200 yards From my house. There's a soybean field that the farmer was out there for either the second or third time this year with his Sprayer with big arms just Spraying the field and it wasn't water right we know that it wasn't water And as my listeners know from listening to me for the last year I had you during cancer last year ironically I was diagnosed Year and a half after moving to Iowa so it makes you kind of step back and start thinking about The effects of what we know to be a huge toxin but yet still being used today So I cannot wait to pick your brain Because you really are an expert in all things glyphosate. So welcome to the show Thank you for having me Absolutely So I had to start with where you started
What prompted you to deep dive and really You know study this very toxic herbicide so a glyphosate you know It's interesting because I got interested in autism a long time ago personal experience actually had a friend Child had a DPT shot and then a week later and had seizures and you had a high fever You know piercing cry after the shot and then had seizures a week later and then was diagnosed with severe autism So it kind of planted a seed in my brain and an interest in autism for that reason And it wasn't until 2006 2007 that I got really serious about it Notice the autism rates going up year by year You know the whole first decade of this in fact ever since the beginning of the century Autism rates have been going up and it's like we're used to it now You know, yeah sure they went up of course they did you know, it's like normal So I know I know I know it's huge about autism now. It's so scary to me It's really frightening because you can all these autistic kids growing up and becoming autistic adults and their parents aging out and dying
I mean, it's just gonna be really really tough and so I feel for those people I really my heart goes out to the parents of these children that are so difficult and And so frustrating that a life lost really so I really wanted to figure out what was causing I thought it's got to be something in the environment You know, and I started looking at all all kinds of things and I read all about autism really complicated Condition with lots of comorbidities and whatnot. It's a very Complex disease But I was noticing gut problems, you know, I kind of had that in my mind something that must be something in their food Something in their water. I was thinking along those lines, you know When I walked into a lecture that was presented by professor Don Huber He's over 80 years old and he's still active. He's so amazing still publishing papers I hope that'll be me I'm over here, so but he gave it to our presentation on glyphosate I didn't know what glyphosate was when I walked in the room I knew he was talking about some chemical when I finished listening to his lecture I was convinced I had found my answer and I'm still convinced that I found my answer I think glyphosate is the primary cost not the only cause but the primary cost
Of the autism epidemic and then of the epidemic and the whole bunch of other diseases as well Would this be mom exposure or child exposure because I mean these kids are being my I know It's not a good horrible autistic. So I'm always trying to pick the brains of those who who know and I'm thinking well He was born that way had to be mom exposure Absolutely mom exposures are big deal and child exposure and of course exposure in the breast milk Zenhanika actually had a a number of different samples of breast mom tested for glyphosate and I think a third of them came out positive Feeding glyphosate to your baby and your breast milk out of course if you're feeding then soy formula forget it That's a GMO round up ready crops. They get it coming and going Yeah, it was so perfect because he talked about the various things that glyphosate causes And he really was the first person to speak out loudly against glyphosate He had a lot of experience with it, you know And he convinced me for sure because it was like the gut dysbiosis problems the liver problems The sulfate problems the liver a detoxification system gets disrupted by glyphosate
And that makes everything else more poisonous like a sediment and but you know they've been talking about Tylenol Being a causal factor in in autism and glyphosate suppresses the enzyme in the liver that treats the Tylenol keeps it safe Okay, that makes sense Okay, so you start you go to this lecture and it totally changes things for you and then what you just start deep diving into What is glyphosate doing to our bodies and people that are not autistic just overall health correct? Right. Yes, and it was just amazing I started looking at diseases and looking at correlations between the rise you know new autism was going up And I am my computer scientist. I got online. I got a bunch of data Did some runs gets some correlations and I always astonished at how many different Diseases and conditions are going up precisely in step with the rise glyphosate and spank usage has been going up dramatically ever since 2000 Even exponential growth, you know in the first part of this century and and meanwhile all these diseases are going up Diabetes obesity out Alzheimer's thyroid cancer actually is one of the diseases that matches perfectly
And of course, there's a non-hotch or some phalma and there's a kidney disease and liver disease I've got dysbiosis bloating, you know and flammatory bowel disease and even the celiac disease. I think it's a dredch hit Okay, so when we're and that makes total sense my dad had non-hotch can some phalamine we were kind of even back then This has been 2015. We're kicking around the idea of of roundup exposure glyphosate exposure So what I mean we know glyphosate as roundup okay, it's a weed killer It's a weed killer But why is it such a threat to our health and well-being? Yeah, that's a very complicated answer, but I really start with the gut microbiome I think it's pretty central to the story and it's now been proven So I published the first paper I published on glyphosate after I came back from that lecture I did it in collaboration with Anthony Samson You thought that your whole series of papers together and that first one was about the gut microbiome We kind of suspected that it was a theoretical paper That glyphosate would disrupt the gut microbiome and that would cause a lot of problems and of course the chicimate pathway
We understood that the microbes have that pathway. That's the pathway that it disrupts in the plants It's a biological pathway that the human cells don't have and that's the arturant they used to say, you know This stuff is wonderful because you don't even have the pathways of how it would be affected by this chemical But our gut microbes many of them over half of them have a susceptibility From that pathway to glyphosate and so and especially the beneficial bacteria lack of a cellism and they're probably correct. Julia we claimed those two in our paper We didn't have any proof, you know, we just had theory But now papers have come out showing exactly that but those microbes I should press like glyphosate and furthermore Their products are suppressed. So you have reduced short-chain fatty acids and short-chain fatty acids They're so important for our health they produce by the microbes for the host They get they get down they get reduced because of the glyphosate and then we get into a lot of trouble with Not just in the gut, but ecestemically because of that so When we When someone's listening to this they're probably thinking and I always approach these interviews
From the perspective of my listener my patient and I just I hear them thinking it right now But I don't use Roundup for my weeds I'm buying the the natural herbicides and the non toxic organic stuff But that doesn't really matter right how do we all get exposure To glyphosate if we are not directly using it. I think there's a huge exposure through the food directly through the food if some people are getting it in the water I mean like you may have it in your waters or pie right but the but the food is a huge source and the government doesn't bother to test The US government is like oh yeah, this stuff is so safe. We don't care. We know it's all over the food supply We don't care a friend of mine Tony Meacher at Canada He harassed his Canadian government a lot for many years I think before he finally got them to run glad his eight tests on some eight thousand food samples That was great because that's the first that I have seen any kind of it was really hard for me to find any data You know on glyphosate levels in food it was Zen Henneke has done a number of studies
She's a friend of mine. She's the founder of Moms across America. She's really awesome And she's really been you know not only Tested and then going to the government saying here's what I found and you need to fix this you know It says she's been very active politically. She's a fireball, you know It's then honey cut put a shout out for her But she's tested a number of different things like the California wines. They all came out positive Even the biodynamic ones they were low much lower, but they still had it You know because it's all over California. Wait wait we got a pause there so Yeah, a lot of our wine comes from California right and You're seeing even the biodynamic meaning the the ones that are advertising You know organic They also have glyphosate in the wine Well because it's in the air you know, it's in the rain. It's an if used manure. It's in the manure So you know the organics are not free of it. They typically have much less and Canada showed that because Canada did another organic version Sources non-organic they found a huge difference between organic carbon so beans and non-organic
And non-organic carbon so beans were off the chart So chickpeas and so beans all these legumes switch, you know, so hummus I won't eat hummus if I don't know that it's organic and I like hummus, you know Wow same. I know. Oh gosh. You're opening my eyes now. I had no idea that we had to Kind of go that far, you know In the world of buying organic of course there's some things that people really need to do You know like you always hear about the top 10 foods like strawberries and apples and all of that But I don't even think about legumes. I don't think about wine. I mean, this is so eye-opening that list By the way of the best 10 safest foods corn is on that list, which is crazy because corn is a GMO or products They don't pay any attention to glyphosate in making that list right well Yeah, and to your point and a lot of people don't realize this but I do living here You have mentioned earlier you said the term round up ready now a lot of people don't realize that corn and soybeans Which you know are sold to make all of the food that that you eat I mean the soy milk the bread the baked good everything
Is made from corn and soybeans. That's why they're the largest crops in the United States that they actually have the seeds That are round up ready meaning these seeds have been so genetically modified in a lab They can actually withstand this highly toxic pesticide that kills everything else I mean everything else and this some plant or this corn plant the corn seed Can still live and grow because it's been so Genetically altered right it's endowed with a microbial gene a version of that gene the EPSP Since days in the chicken mate pathway that I mentioned earlier and that protein is very interesting And I talked about it. I have maple cure by the way toxic legacy How the weak killer glyphosate is destroying our health and the environment so 2021 was when that was published and These GMO crops they have a gene that that's inserted into their genome from up bacterium
They discovered this bacterium because they saw that it could thrive in the presence of glyphosate and that bacterium has a Modified version of that enzyme and it's very specific you're talking about this in my book because it's quite interesting Because the normal enzyme has a glycine residue at a particular place where it binds phosphate and this modified enzyme has aligning instead Doesn't have glycine there the core of my book is the story that I still believe despite tremendous Back that I mean they're denying that is possible I think that the most critical aspect of glyphosate toxicity Maybe it's ability to get into proteins by mistake in place of glycine and that's how you would explain that particular Vensine that gets suppressed by glyphosate because it has this glycine residue Where it binds phosphate and that's important because glycosate actually is a glycine molecule It fits perfectly into the slot that the enzyme has set up to catch glycine when it's trying to make the protein It's got the code it says oh, I need glycine and this particular enzyme fits glycine beautifully Won't fit any the other amino acids
Glycine is the smallest amino acid glyphosate is a single it fits perfectly But it has extra stuff stuck on its nitrogen atom which has to be outside of the slot because it has to hook up to the next amino acid So as long as it's room for that extra stuff and that extra stuff is a methyl phosphate Which is very similar in size to phosphate? So it can fit where the phosphate is supposed to go and then it blocks the phosphate and now the enzyme doesn't work And they found that if they swapped out the glycine They've done this at Burmaelian put in alineum instead and they could do that you know with their technology The enzyme is completely insensitive to glyphosate at any level. It's binaur And that feels to me like a code change, you know as opposed to just being it doesn't fit quite as well Yeah, so I really feel like that strong evidence that that is the substitution for the glycine in the enzyme itself Rather than replacing the substrate It's not that it goes and binds to the enzyme. It's actually in the enzyme So I'm gonna bring this down to the audience can understand and as you're talking It's actually reminding me of how I explain T3 connecting to the receptor site on the cell and if reverse T3 is elevated
It's literally going to take the place of that T3 and attach to that receptor site But it's but that reverse T3 is inactive so it's taking the spot on the cell and it's not allowing T3 to do the work at the cell So if we have this this modified thing that can attach to the cell How does that affect the body like what is the importance of glycine being able to attach and do its job as opposed to like the frankin molecule With all the stuff added to it that's attaching instead. How does that affect the human body? Well, there are several different specific proteins that are completely derailed by that change if they get glyphsate So the glycine they are completely ruined. Okay, and that's the case for this EPSP Sympathes you substitute glyphsate that the approaching Is ruined they cannot do its job at all. This reactivity goes down to practically zero And there's lots of other enzymes like that and I talk about various ones It's very nerdy in my book and I describe all these I found enzymes that have the vaccines at the place with a vine Boss-bate that's sort of a critical pattern that I looked for
And then I believe those enzymes are all being suppressed by glyphsate And then you can explain the diseases because you see that the same enzymes are being when they're mutated You have this disease which is going up dramatically step you know in step-of-flight actually the whole puzzle kind of comes together Really beautifully and I enjoy a puzzle so it's been a lot of fun I'm still finding new proteins even to this day that I didn't know before you know that are gonna be connected affected by glycine and I'm glad you mentioned t3 I think you may or may not know about the chapter that I wrote for a book by Arunach Bahkhu Do you know about that chapter because you mentioned the t3? I wrote a chapter on glyphsate and mold toxicity I had a lot of fun with a research on that chapter and it has to do with the t3 and the reverse t3 thyroid hormone is so fascinating And I wanted before I say that I want to say something else which is ampah because later on and that's more recently I realized that ampah is probably blocking the uptake of iodide past the gut because you probably maybe know about I think it's a little bit of fluoride and perchlorate are two molecules that are known to block
The uptake of iodide and of course then you get iodide efficiency It turns out that ampah is actually probably a better match to the iodide than those two are so I think ampah is a breakdown product of glyphsate It's a primary breakdown product Okay, and it's very sturdy it is yeah, it breaks down Even less well than glyphsate does glyphsate turns into ampah in the soil You know and then when you are exposed to glyphsate there's also ampah in there as well probably you know And the ampah will block the ability of the iodide to get past the gut barrier So that will cause you to have iodide deficiency even if there's plenty of iodide in your food So that's one problem another problem with the thyroid Thyroid really gets hit hard by glyphsate because another problem is the precursor to the thyroid hormone itself Which you probably know is one of the outputs of the chicken mate pathway So the secret pathway produces these three aromatic amino acids tripcafand tyrosine and phenylalanine And tyrosine is basically thyroid hormone, you know Just it's almost thyroid hormone just needs the iodide and and it's cool how it picks up all these iodide ions
Iadide is a huge atom, you know, you probably know that too. It's really big And in fact the whole molecule of the ampah which is amino methylphosphonic acid That whole molecule is still smaller than the thyroid than the iodide high on Because it's so big and it's also negative with the charge so it really kind of fits Fits the size and fits the charge Which is why it's going to probably block, you know And so now so the iodide can't get in and then the thyroid hormone precursor can't get in You know because the gut microbes make those using the pathway the glyphsate blocks So now you've got a deficiency in both the pre-curse to the thyroid hormone and the iodide So no wonder you've got thyroid deficiency right with that situation And then the problem is a mole which is this chapter that I wrote The mold actually mold as pergillus I produce these toxic products that are really toxic to the liver And the liver actually can metabolize them to make them safer But the enzymes that they use the liver uses to metabolize then gets suppressed by glyphsate
So then the as pergillus toxic to become much more toxic And there's a particular problem with good a thion glyphosate Foltiapleach, budothone and causes good a thion to be oxidized So you don't have good good a thion defense which is going to protect you from oxidative stress So the liver gets hit hard by the products of the molds In the mold toxicity and then they get into a real problem with the thyroid with the t3 Which was what I found so interesting in that chapter I wrote about reverse t3 And you know there's something called uthyroid sick syndrome you probably have heard of that Yeah, and that's because of reverse t3 and that's so interesting because t3 and reverse t3 are almost the same thing But the different iodides he'd taken out so it's really quite curious Biology has these incredibly fancy strategies for managing things, you know And t3 is essential in the liver you know to get the liver cells take up the t3 and that gives them the energy That triggers the mitochondrial production of ATP so If you don't get enough t3 you're going to be tired you're going to be really fatigued
You're going to be everything You can wear the whole meal You know blocks basically blocks the t3 Just like glyphosate would have that methylphosphonate it would block a phosphate binding So the reverse t3 blocks the t3 But the interesting thing is reverse t3 actually gets produced and then it's a diol 3 versus a diol 2 or something You know that produces the 2 in the pro reverse Sorry, I didn't say that quite right but you know what I mean Yeah, that's the irony sometimes Yeah, different enzymes And the one that produces the 3 the 3 it normally gets endosytoast Through these clathrin pits, you know, and I really enjoyed this term that I found when I was researching this chapter that I frustrated endosytoces It's clathrin base frustrated clathrin based endosytoces and that happens when there's not enough sulfate And remembering becomes stiff, you know of the cell and then it the cell wants to sort of Have an imagination where it's going to bring in the reverse t3 and get rid of it basically once it gets out of the out external space But it gets blocked is sort of gets stuck on the wall And this thing that wants to invent and bring it in can't do it because there's not enough sulfate
And there's not enough sulfate because glycotate rexosolpation system So the whole thing the conspiracy between glyphosate and mold Ends up with this u thyrurg 6 syndrome where you're physically exhausted Because you're if I word homies just not getting in you could have plenty of it You know about the ratio of this of the reverse t3 to the t3 is too high Because it's hanging out outside the cell I want to unpack all that and tell people like they're in fifth grade So it really helped them understand it so it started the beginning when you were talking about iodine and l tyrosine So what you're seeing is the exposure to glyphosate glyphosate in our bodies will Actually Block that l tyrosine and the iodine from kind of coming together to make Thyroid hormone. So that's problem number one. That's right. Let's say okay. Yes. Then problem number two Is that glyphosate is actually That correct me if I'm getting this wrong glyphosate is is coming in and it's
Not allowing reverse t3 to essentially be clear to be utilized and clear like we all have the reverse t3 in our body We know why it's there, you know Increase if we're lying in the hospital fighting for our life because reverse t3 tells the body You know don't worry about burning fat and having energy just keep this person alive and heal them So it's essentially not allowing our body to take the reverse t3 and utilize it and push it out. Do I have that right? Yeah, you it's interesting that it's made and then it's cleared and it's cleared through these Crafting pits and if it can't be cleared then it's gonna block and then the t3 won't be able to get in even if it's there Okay, and then that third layer with mold that's really interesting because What I see in my patient population is the patients that We can strengthen their money we can optimize their thyroid and hormones and I always call it shoring up It's like strengthening resilient shoring up the body Those people can be exposed to mold and they don't seem to have this over the top reaction
You know like if you go on Facebook and you go in a mold group like those people are like oh my god I'm ready to jump off a bridge my life is hell. I have no energy. I'm losing my hair. I can't see straight Like they are deep in their mold toxicity Whereas my people with more you know stronger bodies resilient bodies Their thyroid and hormones are balanced their immune system is working. They can have the exposure But not be as you know sideline by it Do you think that that has something to do with glyphosate exposure as well like those mold people on Facebook? Absolutely because they're synergistic because glyphosate disrupts the protection that you have against mold Okay, it's glyphosate messes up the liver Seek we how they collaborate to cause much worse harm same thing with the sediment if and you know the glyphosate disrupts Ability to detoxify sediment Mm-hmm. Okay now what about thyroid cancer? You would mention that earlier or perfect Cancer and then all yeah like what's going on there that we're seeing this increased incidents
Yeah, I think it's probably just so much inflammation in the thyroid There's another aspect to the problem too that has to do with celiac disease and I don't know if you're aware of celiac disease Actually, I think celiac disease has a major increase in non-hoshence involvement and that's a reason why people Is celiac often have a shortened life spans? I remember that I think that's right. Okay, and of course non-hoshence and phoma is glyphosate So yeah, I think celiac is and you know celiac sort of appeared out of nowhere I was so puzzled when I started seeing I remember you know not that long ago These sort of gluten-free sections showing up in the grocery store and I'm like what's this gluten-free stuff? You know, I didn't have had nothing of that about that when I was young, you know Ciro mm-hmm. So celiac disease has gone up dramatically And in fact, I have a whole paper on that that I wrote with Anthony Sanzo. That's one of the papers we wrote was specifically on celiac disease and gluten intolerance and the story is pretty clear to me because again the microbes are involved because the acrobatyl is pretty several different enzymes
That specialize in breaking down proling proling is a difficult amino acid to pry apart When you metabolize proteins, you know proteins, you know a whole bunch of amino acids on a string That's the DNA code and the first thing you have to do is chop them up and break break it into individual amino acids And that process, you know, there's some enzymes that do that just fine But we don't have the enzymes that do it proling proling is different It needs to specialize enzyme and the lactobacillus provide that for the host But they get killed off by life is it and then they're not providing enough of that enzyme and then they And so the proteins that contain a lot of proling are troubled are kimchi broken down properly And that's both casing and gluten both of them have lots of proling So what happens is the proling doesn't get separated and then you get these small sequences of amino acids containing proling forget stuck and it can't break it down and then those sequences are formed They're not a natural sequence That makes the immune system upset it says oh my god foreign protein gets it across God's life actually creates a leaky gut barrier
So these small peptides get loose into the circulation and immune cells get upset And they start building antibodies against those small proteins Then it turns out that they actually have a similar sequence to certain critical proteins in the thyroid So you end up with antibodies attacking the thyroid gland And then you get lots of inflammation and then you get damage you get DNA changes you get cancer, you know Yeah, okay, that makes sense I was gonna ask you about leaky gut Because kind of going back to what you said in the very beginning with autism and the connection to The gut microbial balance There is this term that we hear quite often called leaky gut or intentional permeability So we know that the gut is very very important for Every aspect of health and longevity like you said from autism to Thyroid dysfunction to full-lony systemic inflammation But what is leaky gut? You know, we hear it so often now It's almost like used willy nilly like adrenal fatigue and detox
Yeah, but maybe it's true. Do we all have a leaky gut because all of us are exposed to glyphosate? I think so in fact, they're peer reviewed papers have been published that actually demonstrated that glyphosate causes the leaky gut It actually messes up. I think it increases the release of zonulin which tends to hold up Barrier enough so the gut cells separate then there's a hole and then molecules can just And microbes can just go white space through the gut barrier Because the cells don't have tight junctions the tight junctions get messed up Well, so that's where I was going to go So if people listening can picture your gut lining Like this this web almost like a mesh Where you shouldn't be able to go through the hole that's like a tightly woven mesh or like we used to think of it like tile and grout although we know that the grout is permeable in the right conditions And you had mentioned Zonulin zonulin is a marker we can actually measure it on something like a GI map
That is a marker of these I don't know how to say it almost like The little guy that's going to chip its way through the grout right? It's gonna make its way through and it's gonna make your gut permeable. It's gonna poke holes into your gut So glyphosate is increasing our zonulin Which is then basically poking holes in our gut lining creating leaky gut. Do I have that right? Yeah, okay And then we have that leaky gut that's what you're finding is very much tied to autism because there's that great connection that's so strong Right and all these metabolites as so in an autism you have a Quasturio overgrowth and a Quasturio produced metabolites that are can P creasol P creasol is one of them and there's another kind of something sulfate I've forgotten now But these metabolites had a produced by Pasturia There've been papers published on that in fact the business story about I think triplets that all had autism or something like It's amazing and they had this Quasturio overgrowth and they were producing this peak creasol
Which then goes to the brain and then in the brain the peak with solides a signaling you know Molecule that causes the construction you know in formation in the brain Wow, I mean this this this herbicide pesticide I mean It literally seems like the worst possible thing That humans can be exposed to I mean even plastics we can kind of deal with it But glyphosate it's affecting every aspect of our body. I mean you had even mentioned all timers Talk to me about that. Is that again that gut brain connection? Oh, yeah, and it's just it's the same concept Alzheimer's I think has a lot in common with autism. They kind of like the same disease at different ages You know, I think there's a lot of some weird between Alzheimer's and autism And I think Alzheimer's is also going up exactly in step with bicase usage And Parkinson's disease is as well. That's a neurological disease. That's very clearly linked to the gut dysbiosis The Parkinson's they've seen that very clearly It's information in the brains information the brain is a feature both autism and Alzheimer's
And there's also of course this aluminum connection which I think glyphosate plays a role there as well because and I have a paper about that So guisezate binds to cations to positively charged anions It binds very strongly to them. It's a really strong metal p-later It messes up the good and it causes the bad at the same time because it binds to the minerals that are important for our health We have very fancy mechanisms to transport these minerals all the minerals that are Critical in that you know enzymes have depend on catalysis from these minerals like magnesium and manganese cobalt zinc and all those Their rare minerals we need them in small amounts and they're very important for several enzymes But they can also be toxic if you can't transport them correctly glyphosate grabs hold of them and carries them and delivers them to the brainstem And the pineal band gets hit hard by metals that are brought to the brainstem in a particular aluminum which is not a mineral It's the aluminum has no use the body of no use for aluminum was a rare and as a plus-lea charge is very positively charged Two glyphosate molecules will wrap around in the rumour of madam and erase its charge it they have a negative charge
They can make it be a uncharched molecule with two glyphosates plus an aluminum and that becomes a molecule is very easy to get across the gut barrier When you have charge it's much harder to get across the barrier But a neutral molecule carrying an aluminum load inside it which is two glyphosates, you know the whole compound gets across the gut barrier it travels to the brainstem and hits the pineal gland and And causes aluminum toxicity in the pineal gland which will then disrupt sleep and of course sleep disorders a big problem with autism And an aluminum in the brain is connected to autism, you know, there's this Chris X-lay is an expert on aluminum I don't know if you know of Chris X-lay but his whole field his whole career was around aluminum Later in his career, he discovered that I didn't think the vaccines were going to be related But then he now does believe that the vaccines aluminum in the vaccines But the vaccines some of the vaccines also contain glyphosate So if you get a shot that contains glyphosate and a shot that contains aluminum at the same time in the same arm They can buddy up and the glyphosate can escort you aluminum to the brainsting and then cause autism and so he looked at autistic brains
Post-mortem and he was shocked with the amount of aluminum that he found that's a characteristic feature of Alzheimer's aluminum in the brain It's well known But but autism also has that feature he was so and that's when he basically I think he lost his job because he spoke out of cancer vaccines and then you know The higher ups are not happy about that or it's a sad story But he's still speaking out about aluminum in the brain And I think the glyphosate is helping to a deliver the aluminum to the brain He can actually bind it in the gut normally the gut holds on to a woman doesn't let it pass the barrier But glyphosate sets up a leaky barrier and then it wraps around the aluminum to make it at a zero charge That combination is really deadly So it just takes the little and right into the blood Right into the bonestone and then in the acidic environment it unloads its aluminum cargo And now you've got both the aluminum and the glyphosate it really talks like one So it's gonna stay it sounds like glyphosate is like the uber for aluminum and just kind of driving it to the brain And here we go There's your drop off point
So yes, I'm glad you mentioned vaccines because I know aluminum is in Vaccines and like you said also glyphosate but are we talking when we're talking aluminum are we talking about like Deodorant aluminum well Dodorant has aluminum too and that's problematic and actually aluminum shows up in breast cancer at high levels It's concentrated in breast cancer compared to regular tissue Okay, okay, and I think it's a causal factor in breast cancer. So beware of the deodorants Yeah, you already so switching it's in sunscreen too, you know, so you're gonna get aluminum sunscreen That's right. Yeah, it's just like constant exposure. Okay, then that's gonna bring me to the Relief part of this conversation because right now we're just in doom and gloom. What can we do? What are your recommendations of how We can protect ourselves? How do we detox from glyphosate is it even possible? Yeah, I'm not sure about the detox although I do feel hopeful that one thing I say which I don't have proof is that a seatobacter
Some species of a seatobacter can break it down enzymatically and so if you are eating sour crowd and apple cider vinegar Okay, for mentioned foods that contain the seatobacter there's a chance that you're Consuming a microbe that can break it down, which I think would be really awesome Like you could get Establishment in your gut of a microbe that knows how to break down glyphosate, you know That's really great because you can just clear it and glycosate is actually nutrient when you think about it because it has Well, it's nitrogen and phosphorus So the cells that can break it down love it in fact Sianobacteria they can break down glyphosate and they use it both in nitrogen and phosphorus and that's a problem because I had a bacteria becoming a big nuisance and in the waterways because of the glyphosate, you know Okay, so yeah, so anyway, I see the doctor so anyway, I think eating probiotics is good in general because probiotics good Topolites and then of course the microbes themselves can keep your gut Going, you know as that's it's killing all your microbes. You're supplying new ones, right? But there's some hope that that would keep your gut healthier probiotics as foods. I like for mentioned foods
I also advocate a high fat diet and there's an interesting reason for that that like we haven't mentioned yet But that's a true I might not be knowing anything about your cherry on oh yeah I wanted to pick your brain on that too because during my cancer journey I bought cases of deuterium depleted water and I tried to put all the things on it that I would love to hear from you on What's the benefit there? Why was I doing that? This is deuterium depleted water right here. I take it every day It's expensive. It's crazy expensive given that it's water. It is and I don't believe in supplements really I don't take any oral supplements nothing in pills But I do believe in deuterium depleted water. I also do epsom salt baths for the magnesium and sulfate sulfate Critical and sulfur in general actually so eating foods that are high in sulfur because glycosate is a complete train That for the sulfur system and we don't really pay attention to sulfur and I feel a lot of our foods are depleted and sulfur Come what they used to be 20 30 years ago Because glycosate disrupts the uptake of sulfur into a plant So that plant-based foods have less now. That's true of other minerals as well
But the sulfur deficiency I think is pretty common in today's world And people don't realize it the government doesn't pay a lot of attention to sulfur There's no minimum daily requirement You know they kind of think there's plenty of it, but it's not true So you have insufficient sulfur and the enzymes that utilize sulfur are broken by glycosate So people a lot of people is it I remember when I first started sort of speaking out about sulfur and eat sulfur containing foods I got a email from people who said oh, I can't eat sulfur containing foods. I have bad. I am garlic Yeah, yeah And I think that's because of the glycosate the glycosate is messing up the enzymes that were not indicated say sulfites for example in wine sulfites very reactive But there are enzymes that convert just sulfate you know again the microbes do a lot of this And it's perfectly fine because they can just quickly turn it sulfate or they can reduce it down and make a Nevining out of it which is fantastic if the thining is a sulfur containing amino acid But those enzymes get disrupted by glycosate I found a paper on the E. coli that showed that the microbial enzyme in E. coli that
makes methionine from inorganic sulfur gets suppressed by glycosate and methionine is a universal methyl donor So now you've got trouble with methylation pathway both the methylation pathways and the sulfation pathways are disrupted by glycosate And then we can see that on a dutch test with our hormones Because we need those sulfation pathways open and working and the methylation pathways working to process our estrogen especially if we're on VHRT So yes, okay, this is all coming together making sense to me because that could have indirectly then contributed to My cancer diagnosis because exposure to glyphosate direct obviously throwing the whole body off leaky gut everything that we already talked about But now also the disruption of those sulfation and methylation pathways causing Almost a build up of growth promoting We'll say estrone hormone in our body that then can spur on if we don't have the right balance And the right methylation the right detoxification Then that's where excess estrogen in the form of estrone can become growth promoting
Yeah, and I think sulfation is a critical way to distribute estrogen and then that's not working you get this problem with the estrone Right, so it's not getting so far So it's not getting so far Causing the cancer it's our saltation pathways You're not being broken right got it. Okay. This is all making sense. Okay, so we can do probiotics Obviously limit our exposure where does beauty and deplete a water come in is that kind of a separate conversation or does that come in into the overall health? It's a huge conversation and I would suggest that you're happy to listen to this go to my subset page Because I'm having a lot of fun writing articles I've kind of launched it. I had it It was just completely nothing for like a year and I got a hundred followers with nothing on it And then I started getting really serious about producing so I've gotten really involved in toughs that I've enjoyed we've been using AI technology Victor cosette. I was helping me out with it And it's really working nicely. I'm so excited Just had a new article out today and a lot about cancer actually on there as well as gallipus aid of course and to cheer him
And to cheer him it's a big story that we won't have time for today But I'll just put out it's easier because okay, the two of them is heavy hydrogen. It's a natural element It's a hydrogen out of hydrogen is the smallest element is the upper corner of the periodic table It's by far the most common atom in our body I think like 60% of our atoms are hydrogen Deuterium is an isotope of hydrogen. It has an extra neutron which makes it twice as heavy And as they said it's natural. It's everywhere But the body really pays attention to it. It's kind of like a toxic metal Okay, and in fact It's a bit like the minerals in the sense that it has benefits in certain places and it has very bad outcomes in other places So the body knows how to put the deuterium where it needs to go With all the different mechanisms that are in place and glyphosate is a complete train wreck for that entire process So what happens is that the sharium builds up in the wrong place and there's not enough to cheer him in the right place So it's all in balance and there's a real mess from that. I think glyphosate Possibly the most important aspect of glyphosate toxicity is its disruption of the deuterium homeostasis
Okay, okay. That makes sense That makes sense and the mitochondria are directly involved because the HEPA's nanomotors that make the HEPA which is the energy currency by the cell They critically hate deuterium deuterium messes them up And they have tons of protons to come plow and through them that they Motorchurned and a really faster age from the proton motive force of protons coming through Turn the wheel and deuterons come in there along with the protons And if you got a lot of deuterons in it the wheel gets wrecked. It's just dispoysed It's like putting sugar in the gas bank Okay, all right that makes sense. Yes. The deuterium depleto water is incredibly expensive I'll just throw that out there for anyone searching on Amazon when you look you're like oh my gosh But there are benefits to it and if you can't go that far Then at least take the step of First of all eating real whole organic food. I mean that's number one. Absolutely. That's number one I've been doing that ever since I discovered glyphosate Yeah, and I mean as you know you can't can't be a hundred percent
But you can do your best you can do your best. Yes. There's going to be some E.M.I. husband always poses this. He's like do you think that the organic farmer that's next to the farmer that's I didn't know I know I know I know that's the case we're getting some crossover but at least At least the organic farmer isn't using the genetically modified scenes and then spring it with glyphosate So you're absolutely moving a step in the right direction And then like Dr. Seffany said the the probiotics from fermentation from fermented foods from whole food sources That's probably your best is there anything else that we can do? I mentioned the fats high fat diet especially animal-based fats and saturated fats are actually very healthy If you said don't realize that because there's been a lot of demonization of saturated fats But they're low in deterrent they're naturally the only deterrent so instead of drinking water you need to fat and that will be A good step towards reducing your deterrent load. Oh, okay. Okay. So they have the saturated fats a little
Acid all of that animal-based which is a great way to eat anyways So that's another step in the right direction that we're moving in so Dr. Seffany We're going to put a link to your book down below But is there anything else that we didn't talk about that you really feel passionate about bring into the table Put a put a link to my sub-stack page as well. I just subscribed to it. I just went on sub-stack It's subscribed to your sub so yes We will absolutely put a link to your sub-stack down below and to your book But gosh, I mean just thank you for doing the work that you're doing. I mean even though we're kind of in this And you know the one thing I actually love about this interview is There's not this bay will here's a big protocol and by 25 supplements and do this year long detox It's like no, let's just do some simple things and Do the best at protecting our body because the reality is here and we can't stick our heads In the stand of pretend that it's not right we have to face it and it's too bad that we really can't avoid it It's in this country. I think it's impossible to to get completely away from glyphosate
Sunlight exposure is the other thing I like to mention get out in the sun without sunscreen and without sunglasses right The sun is very healing and it helps with the sulfatian system it catalyzes the sulfatian and we're like sauna and sweating and detox like infrared I feel good actually. Yeah. Yeah, I think those are helpful. I mean, it certainly can't hurt You know if you're sweating out the toxin you're getting your your detox pathways open It certainly is not going to hurt to decrease your yeah, I think it's honest. Yeah, amazing Well, Dr 70 thing you for the work that you're doing thing you for the book that you wrote I mean, I think it's timeless even though you published in 2021 my goodness It's it's it's standing the test of time because it's here And it's real we just have to face it head on and do what we can So thank you for for still doing the work And for coming on and speaking to my audience I greatly appreciate you because like I said in the beginning This is a topic that we haven't touched on yet And I think it's an important one that we just have to face head on so I appreciate your time and your work Thank you so much. It's been great. I really enjoyed talking to you and anyone listening to this
This is one to share because again like we just said this isn't something that you're going to avoid It's real every single human is affected by it like Dr 70 said we're seeing the rates of autism increase We're seeing all timers increase. I have autism all timers and two bouts of cancer in my family and my immediate family So it's real and it's here and if there are things that we can do to protect the next generation Hopefully decrease the autism rates That would be amazing I hope I can live long enough to see the rates go down that would be so satisfying exactly Exactly so yes share this episode with the ones that you love it could greatly impact their health And until next time thanks for listening The information shared on the Thirifixer podcast is intended solely for informational and educational purposes It is not a substitute for professional medical advice diagnosis or treatment always consult with your physician or other qualified health care provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition
