14:49Dodger off day. But he's here. How you doing? Guys, what's going on? I'm doing well, man. How you got to? I'm going to be a fabulous J hair and it's always good to check in with you around this time of year and kind of chop it up and get ready for the playoff stretch here. But what was your reaction to De Polybian called up and what do you think he's going to be like? Apparently this is the biggest prospect since Corey Seagard. My expert partners here telling me. Well, you know, I've heard, you know, throughout the last year or so that this kid can absolutely swing the bat. They've compared them to a more powerful Robin Kendoff. A guy that hits the ball all feels and as everybody remembers Roberts, a Kendoff. He was a professional hitter. I could also hit the ball of the ballpark, but I remember his first that bat in Bigley camp a couple years ago. He had an opposite field home run. And at 19 years old, I was sold. Obviously the talent was there from jump. But he has now developed that talent and he is going to be a difference maker in the very

15:51new future. Now, is it going to be immediate? That's yet to be seen. But I expect him to come up here and swing the bat. I think he's going to get a really good opportunity here now with Shoyo signing on the I.L. And you never know. You never want to limit the guy with that type of talent because every member of yours back. Miguel Cabrera was called up. I believe it was 19 or 20 years of age. And they called him up because he's such a good hitter. And he really took the league by storm and even played in the world. Series to Roger Clement deep in that world series. So you never know what you can find, especially the guy like him. You know, he certainly has the talent and the makeup to be a great, great player. Jerry, no question. A lot of Dodger fans excited. They've been hearing about him. If you pay any attention to to minor league baseball or major league baseball, I should say, you know, farm system top top prospect list. You've seen his name at the top. I mean, in the top five for the last two years, it seems like it's going to be a great, great player. So that's great. But the only reason he's here is Kishoye O'Connor is on the IL.

16:51That's not great. Do you think the two weeks is going to be enough as someone who's a professional hitter and had to deal with all of the things that come with that, one of the hardest thing to do in all of sport? What's it going to be like to have six or seven games for O'Connor to try to get everything back and rhythm again before the playoffs? So important that the Dodger secure a top two season. Because it gives them an extra week to get ready for the post season extra week of rest and extra week of seeing a live pitching and similar games. So if it is more of the bicep as opposed to, let's say, the knee, I think that's better because I think with that bicep shoulder, you can get that to calm down. I've had a similar injury before. I've had a lot of baseball players have had this injury when you're throwing constantly all angles. I mean, you're also trying to swing them back and beat them. Sometimes you'll have that flare up in the first two or three days.

17:52It's just, you know, it's excruciating pain. But then after four or five days or less, it starts to subside. The pain goes away and then you can start trusting your arm again and trusting yourself swinging the bat with authority. You see what Shorye O'Connor is, it's that white arm. It's a throwing arm. It's also the lead arm where he gets extended as a hitter. So when you have that issue, you don't want to get extended because every time you get extended, it hurts. It bothers you. So hopefully that calms down during this aisle stint. And that is, you know, ready to go. And he would have about five games or six games to kind of get him ready for the postseason. But I would love the fact that Dodgers, Secure Top TC, so you can have more simulated games and more rest to get ready for a long postseason run. All right. Jerry, I want you to pick one. You can't say, oh, that's too tough. You got to have both. If I told you you were going to be guaranteed a Tyler Glass now,

18:53Tariq Scoobal, Blake Snell, Yoshiyama Moto, 100% healthy for the entire postseason, or Shohei O'Connor is going to be at like 90% and one of those guys is going to be a little bit iffy. See what I'm getting at here? What's more important, the fact that all four of those guys look healthy and ready to go, or getting Shohei O'Connor right. Come on, man. Why are you doing this? Ah, yeah. That's kind of like which one of your kids do you like better? You don't want to, you don't want to, you want everybody to be healthy, close to being healthy because as you guys know, three-peating in this sport is next to impossible. We haven't done, you know, no baseball team has done this in 25 years. No nationally team has ever done this. So I think we need everybody healthy, firing on all cylinders, and we've seen throughout the season, everybody plays their best against the Dodgers. Everybody's gunning for the Dodgers, and that's going to be the case when we get into the postseason. So I want everybody healthy, close to as 100% as possible.

19:56But rotation or Shohei, I should say, hit her. Oh, you're putting them on the ground. I'm just asking, let's take the names out of it. Is it in the postseason is a dominant starting rotation more important than kind of the straw that stirs the drink in your lineup? Here's the deal. I think we have enough arms. That's why Shohei is not going to pitch the rest of the way. Obviously he's injured. But we have enough arms to cover. So our pitching should be our strongest suit, especially on the rotation side. I'm sure a couple of those guys from the rotation will go into the bullpen and help them out. Offensively, I know we put up 14 runs last night. We're starting to swim about a lot better. But the last two and a half, three months, it just hasn't been there. So it's important to get our guys healthy on the offensive side because we can hit 203 again in the World Series and expect to win the World Series. Last year, two or three in the World Series, and we won it. We're very fortunate to win that World Series. So offense needs to be a staple.

20:58I really believe our pitching is going to be there. So if I were to pick what's most important heading in the postseason, it's going to be our offense. Having guys swimming the back because I think our pitch pitching we have enough arms to cover everybody. You know, Jay Hare, it's interesting. Would you be very surprised if since you're talking about offense, if Kyle Tucker ended up being the World Series hero or the playoff hero for the Dodgers, do you think that's possible? It's possible. I mean, he's a talented guy. And he's 30 years old. That is not old by any means. He's entering his prime now. He's had a rough growth. So far this season still has a couple of weeks left to get hot and having a monster's postseason. As you guys know, L.A., it's all about championships. So what you do in the regular season, yes, it's important to get to the playoffs, but it's more important how you perform in the postseason and help us win a championship. So if he has a great postseason and has that big hit,

21:58has that moment, has that defensive play or a hit or home run to help us win the World Series, fans are always going to remember that. And that's what makes Derek Fisher so much of a legend here in L.A. Yes, he had a great career. He wasn't in every year all star, but he had big shots. Robert Oury had a career like that, hitting a big shot after big shots. So fans remember the big moments in the postseason. I'm hoping Kyle Tucker has that. Can I ask you a question, Jair? Well, it's an interview. In the case of Derek Fisher. Oh, no, now we're going to do that. I think it's a fair question. Is he a friend of yours? I know deep fish. Yeah, I would say he's a friend of mine. So we don't hang out. I just want to put you in a real uncomfortable spot. My thing is, shouldn't guys like DeFish hit those shots all the time? They are left as open as open can be on all of those teams.

23:02You know, he's basically the fifth option. And the defenders are helping every other of the four players on the floor. And yes, I get it. They're clutch moments and he hits the shot. But if you ever watch the replays, there's never anybody in front of them. They are all wide open shots. You would think. You would think, but you'd be surprised guys. And you know, you guys have played sports throughout your life. College sports as well. You'd be surprised. There are guys that don't want the moment. Wide open or not. Guys don't want the at bat or scared to death of that opportunity. You can have a two-o count. And here comes a fastball right down the middle. And they're going to swing through it. Or they're going to pop it up. Or they're going to ground out weekly. Or they're going to be wide open for three. And they're going to air ball it or brick it. Because they're scared of the moment. So even if he's wide open or not, deep fish wanted that moment. He wanted to be that guy. And you got to give credits to guys like that. Because trust me guys, I've been with some players that did not want to be.

24:05Didn't want to see the field during the postseason. Because they were just afraid of the moment. Okay. I mean, if they were just going to give me the ball in the A gap. Like I was like, okay, you know, I could do I could do that. But if they had asked me to do something else. Like run a Dino route or something, I might have been afraid of the moment too. Jay here. Just, you know, bringing it in a hearted belief. Yeah, I don't think I was going to run a deal. I don't think I'd have got off the line of scrimmage with like a D1 corner out there. They would just choke me to death, right? Like a chicken right right at the sticks. You know, it was so hot at Dodger Stadium yesterday. And no mark came in his suit looking all pristine. And it was, it was impressive. But how hard is it at this time of year? And you know what it's like to win a world series and to grind through the whole thing and stand on the top at the end. I know these guys get paid a lot of money. But what is the mental challenge of fighting through the September August Games?

25:05Well, it's not just a physical. It's the mental. You got to get up for every single game. Every time you step on the field, you got a majorly picture that can get you out. And you have to be there mentally physically. And I've said this really throughout the course of the year. These guys have played so many meaningful games the last two and a half three years. It is taxing. It's grueling. And that's why it's so hard to three feet. You play a hundred and six two games and a hundred and eighty three days. Then you have, you know, before that you have spring training. Then you have the postseason. And we've been in the postseason going to the one-to-one the world series the last two years. And the year before you last year, we played seven games. And it felt like to the players. And I know it's for me. It felt like 14 games. So it's been so grueling for these guys. But I'm hoping they get their second win. Excuse me, their third win. Their second win probably is hitting now. And hopefully they get that third win during the break. Hopefully they get the top two seed.

26:05And they can kind of press that reset button and say, okay, we got to really focus. We have 11 wins. 11 wins. Lock in for 11 wins. And hopefully they're able to accomplish what's not naturally team is ever accomplished. And that's the three feet. But yes, it is mentally grueling. Taxing. I remember being a player. I wake up around, you know, nine in the morning after you know, didn't home at midnight one after a night game. And I wake up. Oh, I'm in Toronto. No, wait, no, I'm in New York. Nope. I'm in Boston. You know, that's how it is. So it's not easy. I know they can pay millions of dollars. And that's no excuse. But it is grueling. It is a tough, tough schedule. And I remember the boat Jackson's talked about it. Deont Sanders talked about it. Brian Jordan, guys that have played football, they said the most groomed schedule is baseball by far. Not physically because you get beat up as a football player, but just mentally and getting up for games every single night. It's tough. One more segment to go. For a local school project, he put together new arrangements for the film, Down Argentine Way, and screened it with his adjustments during the school's annual musical extravaganza. He went to USC. He was an SAE. And how about this 19 years old? In lists. Greatest generation. Served on a destroyer in the Pacific theater during WWII. The war ends. And he decides a GI bill. We'll go to Juilliard. But. Who just like to talk? He said. He said the guy who entered all of his data was like, why? Why are you going to Juilliard? You know, USC music school has some of the best composers and arrangers. He's like, the guy that was entering my data was a big music guy. And he told me about Ernst's talk. And I was like, okay, I guess I'll just go to USC. And he said, change my life.

32:39I got my masters in music. I learned from the best. I took advantage of all my teachers. Give a guy a few carries. And gets a lot of wind in his job. He said. You should respond to that guy. He said his first gig was quote for the worst film ever. Mesa of the Lost Women. It was about chicks in space that turned into tarantulas. The film sucked. But Ed Wood. He could only work for their cartoon studio. And he did it all. 250 Hannah Barbera cartoon series. All the music. Very distinctive. Most of the theme songs. A lot of slide flutes. A lot of that. Said Flintstones was written in a quote, real panic because we were way behind. Said the original Jetsons theme was with a small musical combo, a trio, but Hannah insisted he use a full orchestra. 36:44was after a Star Trek Vulcan Elder. So first their name was Vulcan Elder. Okay. And then they changed it to the name of the Vulcan Elder T'Pau. Which was a Star Trek named after a character on a Star Trek episode called A Mock Time. Carol said she's not a trekky. But the episode was on while she was doing chores about the house. And she decided to name the band Vulcan Elder and then T'Pau. I think that was a wise choice to go to T'Pau. From Vulcan Elder? Yeah. It was kind of a weird pop band to have like a weird Star Trek name. But kind of cool. Just attractive. Carol Decker? Yeah, I remember that. I remember her being attractive. Heart and soul. That was the big hit. Well, it was a flop in the UK, but then it blew up in the US with Grommet's like Matt showing up at the show. Well, I was there to see the outfit. Oh, you know, of course.

37:44Yeah, he was Steve Harp. They just came out, come out with their follow-up to play deep, banging. So they were torn on the banging tour, the follow-up to play deep. I saw a meme the other day or something on the internet, you know, like where a girl was walking up the stairs and then she fell through a hole and like was gone.
