And welcome back to Going in Raw, the only pro wrestling podcast you need to be listening to on today's episode. Oh, man. We've got a lot. We've got a post AEW all in dynamite or a bunch of matches are being set up for the upcoming all out and also a ton from the world
the pro wrestling news, including what you guys want us to talk about. But first, let's talk about this man, WWE. They might feel the same way you do, Larsen, about too hot for TV, pixelated blood. And that they're being handcuffed by the dirty sensors at Netflix. What's going on? So this comes to you from WrestleVotes on Fythe, we'll select. And yeah, the reporting on feelings within Adobe's post production department about feeling as you mentioned handcuffs regarding the restrictions that Netflix has apparently for programming out of unclear based on this, whether it's a universal thing or by territory. None of the last things to be implemented universally when it comes to Adobe's programming. This is all relates of course to the pixelating of the blood, probably fake blood. I didn't watch the uncensored stuff. They put a social media on this past week's raw. And it says here on this report that Adobe apparently was aware of the restrictions that Netflix had in place, but the quote, some internally didn't expect things to be this intensive.
And apparently a decision to upload the unedited version of the attack to kick off this week's raw was quote, unanimous internally. There was another source who questioned quote, whether the angle should have been reserved for a week until raw was live and airing in real time. Because obviously they can't do the pixelation, at least they haven't done the pixelation on a live raw yet. There's kind of a lot to unpack here. There's a live aspect of it. And if showcasing the impact of the attack via bloodshed was important, then yeah, there could be a case being made about saving this for a live raw. But also everybody is well aware of the restrictions that Netflix has at place regarding the quote, unquote, graphic content as relates to wrestling. Blood, whether it be fake or real, that they would continue to write that stuff in the show instead of finding creative ways to work around it.
Yeah, I mean, this definitely comes off as a right hand left hand situation where they don't seem to have clear guidelines. And if they did, like it seems like, hey, we sent them the file, we did live the tape. I know, apparently not live the tape. And then they're just sort of unaware. And then they're just like, oh, whatever Netflix does, they do. This is a billion dollar deal between two multi-billion dollar companies once again. And I don't know why I'm continually shocked. I think partially, obviously it's extreme apples and oranges, not even apples and oranges, apples and something way different than an apple. But like the, I'll just say this, the lengths that even you and I go through in order to make sure that, you know, when we do ad reads, for example, to make sure that all the teas are crossing all the eyes are dotted.
Because we value the relationships we have with our management, with our advertisers to make sure that we keep getting to do what we do. It's weird to me, man, that the stuff we've heard about ESPN and WWE, I'm not talking about the recent stuff, but like, you know, the stuff that we've heard about WWE and ESPN, the stuff that we now are hearing about WWE and Netflix, it's crazy to me that this stuff seemingly goes uncommunicated in advance. That like, there's not, hey, Netflix, we are going to do a segment where there's bloodletting. Are you gonna have a problem with that? Are you gonna pixelate it? Because you pixelated replays in the past. Are you gonna have a problem with that? You know, I wonder if they work around it or not. I wonder if in the contract, there's a verbiage along the lines of Netflix reserves, the right to blah, blah, blah, you know, essentially, sensor content, they deem more censoring.
It's kind of vague and nebulous in its terminology. So WWE won't exactly know how it's enacted till it happens. But this isn't the first time that there's been, you mentioned during replay, I think it was, I was broad breaker, got busted open for something. Yeah, yeah, it was a throng match. Yeah, the cage match. And after the fact, they pixelated it. You know they do that at that point. Yeah, it's been established. President has been set. And, you know, I'd be curious to know what the conversations like knowing that. All right, Netflix is gonna pixelate blood on essentially VOD content, which this week's Raw was because it was taped in advance. Like, do they say, well, let's just do it how we want to do it. And then we'll upload the unedited version or the uncensored version to socials to boost up our social numbers. Like, is that even taken under consideration when, from the creative side of things, when they're trying to work out how this type of stuff is going to happen?
Yeah, I mean, I don't know the idea that they're not, that there seems to not be some communication in advance. You know what? Dude, this goes back decades when it comes to like Bruce Pritchard on his podcast. I think it was on the WrestleMania one. Maybe it wasn't. I thought it was on the WrestleMania 17 one where they addressed CSN like the Canadian sports now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what that was the one. And he said we let we communicated with them. We did the best we could to let them know what was going to happen. And then we leave it up to them. This is even different. This is this is different than that though. Because it's like this is your show, your prime programming, your A programming that Netflix is then taken and being like, okay, we're going to censor this. We're going to censor that. Which the censoring is and you said this, it's lame. It's ridiculous.
And I was sitting there on Monday night trying to wrap my head around like, okay, well, maybe they understood this would be a thing. And so they were like, hey, we're going to go ahead and censor this to make it like it's too hot for TV. Maybe. I don't know. But you know, you look at other stuff on Netflix and there's plenty of action movies and horror movies with. Yeah, I know. I know. And like real stuff. I know exactly. And so now what I want reporting. Yeah, sorry. I was going to say and I wonder if say and some of the anime fights they've had on. You know, someone gets busted open during a mixed martial art fight on a live broadcast. They go back on the replay and edit that out. Certainly not. Why does that happen to WWE? Yeah. That's the question. If if if that if WWE is getting singled out, maybe it's the idea, well, there's the the the fuzziness about whether it's real or fake, but the same time.
The anime is real fighting. People get busted open and anime fights all the time. If that's not censored wise, WWE. And then it, but if you look at it as well, WWE's fictionalized storytelling. Netflix doesn't censor anything else, you know, in terms of of you know, bloodshed on the action movies or the horror movies. So why has WWE getting singled out here? I just I imagine it has to do with distribution and some territories just don't want any any bloodshed on their wrestling program. That would have to be it. It has to be a regional territory thing. And why they don't just send a version that's censored to those territories or that territory and uncensored to every every all the other ones. I don't know. I don't know. It's crazy to me that there is no seemingly if this reporting has to be believed. There's no liaison, no intermediary where WWE's like, we're going to do this.
We know you've censored in the past. What you know what's what's the deal here? Is this going to be a deal? Do we have to talk about this? And is there a way with I'm sorry, but with how with how sophisticated and you know, we've seen that we've seen when you hop on the VPN, you get on Netflix, you get up one version of Netflix. You said it to a different location, you get a different version of Netflix. Why is it not possible then to send out those territories that do require censorship? A censored file. How is it that they're not in advance saying, hey, for content that features blood, please censor it. And then Netflix goes through their QA system to make sure that, you know, that's all done. It's insane that it's a billion dollar deal between two multi-billion dollar companies and they can't figure out whether or not to, you know, this is going to happen or not. Yeah, that's why it's crazy. That's why I was wondering for a stretch of this is something that was happening on Davies side of things in terms of kind of at the request in Netflix.
Perchance, I don't know where they are the ones that were going through and putting the picks leading on there and whatever reason just here, here's one file for all Netflix and that's just use this. But the way this is this fight full of this Russell votes radio. Report is phrase that makes us sound like it's on Netflix and that this is all happening. Yeah, yeah, right. Which makes it all the more confusing. They have the raw file and censored file right there. You know, show that in territories that don't require the censoring and if some territories do require it, give them the censored version. Yeah, I just don't understand. Like, why is the territories that require censorship? Why are they like the default? Why do they get the special treatment here? You know, maybe you have something to do with tracking, like data tracking. If there's two different versions of raw, then they're separate files and therefore different sets of data. You think you just merge the two data sets together in terms of getting your metrics as far as viewership and such, but maybe they're like, well, it's just less of a headache to just do one version of raw and one set of metrics and then we'll just do that.
You know what the simplest explanation is? Simplest explanation is they're too damn cheap. Yeah. To do whatever it takes. To do whatever it takes. Whoever it is, WWE or Netflix, they're too damn cheap to incorporate some level of sophistication where this wouldn't be an issue. They can spend money on God knows what else. On, on, maybe the worst slate, the worst slate of original programming in terms of like, you know, the rocks of what the red, red notice, red Christmas or whatever that was. That, uh, that's part sex, night or movie. Rebel movie. Just reject. I think Star Wars pitch. Right. Exactly. 500 million dollars on those movies and they stunk. Yeah. Yeah. There's a, God, there was a whole, I want to try to source this. But there was an entire video that I started watching that was breaking down just why streamer original movies are so awful.
And, you know, what it boils down to is like they're, they don't, they're not looking for quality. They're looking for, you know, they look at the analytics and they're like, oh, well Chris Evans is really popular. Well, no shit because he's been in like the largest superhero franchise in history, the largest movie franchise in history. So it's like, I mean, tommending old piece of shit. And as long as, and he's getting paid huge money because they don't deal with back end. Yeah. So they make up for the back end with, with his actual salary. Yeah. And I'm guessing a lot of Netflix content is written and produced knowing full well that most people are watching it like this. On their phone. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, okay, so there is a YouTuber, a YouTube account guy named Patrick H. Willems. It's, it's actually at Patrick H. Willems. And, and he does a terrific series of videos across a range of subjects. They're all video essays. And there's one he did two months ago.
It's got 1.3 million views. Why is every streaming blockbuster so bad? And he made it a point over the course of 48 hours to look at like the worst, what 24 of them or whatever. And, and yeah, it's, it's a pretty interesting breakdown. It's like an hour long video essay. But it's pretty interesting the way he brings things down. Yeah. This episode of Going to Raw, a sponsor by prize picks, get hyped Steve, cause football is back. This season, I'm stoked to sing a lot of what? Yes, fly Eagles fly. Should I sing for you? Yes, no. Hard Eagles fly. You said no. Please stop. All right. Anyways, I'm missing a lot of fly Eagles fly after every Philadelphia touchdown. And I'm excited that prize picks is bringing their best offer yet. Yes, man. Right now, new prize pick users who sign up will get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5 lineup. That's right. No, fly Eagles hard. Yes, yes, yes, stop. No, yes, sing. Definitely no. Yes, no. Do we need an intermediary area ourselves? No, fly Eagles fly. And I'm looking for Sequan Barclay to have a bounce back season this year. He helped carry the Eagles to a ring a couple of years ago while Russian for over 2,000 yards, but didn't quite put up the same type of numbers last season. So I picked Sequan to have more rush yards this season. Hopefully, he'll help lead the Eagles to another deep run in the playoff while I sing what? Fly Eagles fly. I did not give you the green line on that one. Prize picks is going crazy though, just like Larson with this singing. Again, download the app today and use code going raw to get $150 instantly in lineups. If you win your first $5 lineup, probably pick, run your game. All right, man. Now it's time to talk about what the Frendos want us to talk about. Indeed. First, the Swaggy 33 wants us to talk about Xavier Woods Austin Creed on Ariel Hillwani. I'm sorry. That's wood slash. Yeah. Yeah. So Austin Creed on Ariel, he's saying along with the more than 50% pay cut, they're asked to take more than 50% pay.
Yeah. I believe Kofi answered that question on then whole want to show. But they were both both Kofi and Austin were on the show. And Austin talked about the second part about one of his kids wondering why they don't talk to Biggie anymore in K-fabe. And you know, how each of those things led to their decision to leave. So Kofi said it wasn't a 50% pay cut as was reported. It was more than 50% and then I think it was today or fairly recently Conrad Thompson. Saying it was up to 75 on J.R.S. pot cap, but then Brian Alvarez just says it wasn't 75. It was slightly more than 50%. Anyways, regardless, that's a substantial pay cut to ask to huge superstars and future Hall of Famers. Yep. Regarding the story from Austin about the situation with E as we had to say, these transcripts come from a resting observer. Says I'm changing my three year old and he was asking me about wrestling because we were running around rolling around.
I was telling him like, oh, you know, this is like me. Kofi and E's thing. He's like, oh yeah, does Kofi like to get hit hard? I'm like, yeah, sure. Sometimes maybe. And he's like, but E and I was like, oh no, he's not wrestling. We talked about this and he was like, why didn't he talk to us? And I was like, what? He goes, why didn't he talk to us? Like, what were you talking about? He's like, you talked to Kofi. I'm like, yeah, he's like, you talked to E. He's like, yeah, but he didn't talk to us. And he's remembering it may not because we're up media. We walk past E on the red carpet and I pulled my family along. He's three. And I said, I cannot do that. We cannot do that. We have to go. That's not okay. So being able to leave and be in a space where we never do that again feels awesome. So this is post new day heel turn on E. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So they had to they had to K-fabe it even, you know, on the red carpet. They couldn't they couldn't talk to Big E. Yeah. I mean, you know, that's that's an interesting insight right now.
Oh, he has some more here. He says K-fabe with the family. E is my guy. That's my family. Kofi and E. We were spending more time together at points than we were with our family because we just weren't home. We were just together. And so the bond that that builds over time over car rides or how shows international trips. These are my legitimate brothers. That's not a gimmick. He has more. So I want to make sure that my son understands that this is how you are with your brother. You don't turn your backs on them. You don't shuffle by them. You give them a hug. You talk to them. You ask them how their day is. You see how their life is going. You pay attention to them. And I'll tell you that bother me in the moment. But when that happened, it shook me to my freaking core. So we won't do that again. Yeah, man. I mean, the weird trade off that wrestlers have to make to advance stories. And I wonder if I wonder if you would have been a bit more okay with all that. I mean, number one, having the three-year-old is difficult to understand what they're going to understand what they're not going to understand. And so I wonder if they had actually done something that was satisfying from a story perspective with the big E, with the heel turn on big E.
If it would have been like, okay, I feel a little bit better trying to justify this to my kid. Because we were able to accomplish something that artistically made it worth it. But there wasn't because they didn't do shit with it afterwards. And so it's like, man, not only did we not go anywhere with that, my kid has to see me be addicted big E. So yeah, you got a wonder of it. And then on top of that, they're asking us to take a giant pay cut. I'm sure of nothing else. Well, the very least, you know, I get to not act like an asshole in front of my kid now. Yeah, yeah. So that's probably nice. Next here from Eduardo Morales says Carmela saying on her latest podcast that she's retired from wrestling, although she said in social media that she isn't.
So she said on her podcast, what's called hot mom shit. She says I was a professional wrestler. I can't wrestle anymore. I'm a mom. I had kids. So that's kind of like, I'm retired. But then someone reacted to that on social media. And then she responded, you guys, my foot is healed. I'm at the best shape of my life. Definitely not retired. Whoa. Okay. All right. It says, let's see here. Yeah. I'm a mom had kids. I'm retired. Okay. Well, I guess we'll find out at some point. Yeah, she comes back. Yeah, she comes back. She is. Or is it, you know, if she comes back to WWE or maybe she shows up in a W. I don't know. Then, then I guess we'll see at that point. Yeah. So I always, I know you and I always really like we're big fans of Carmela. I thought she was great. Yeah. She was a lot of cool shit from a character standpoint. I always thought that she was one of those that was like,
to a degree, I'm not going to say on the same level as like a Chelsea Green because I think Chelsea special. But in terms of like understanding sort of contemporary humor as a relates to pro wrestling, I think Carmela was there. I think she did certain things. It was like, oh, that was actually funny and not just like overly scripted funny. Yeah. And I think she, she just got it. She just got it. And I liked that about it. And I think that a lot of people didn't get that she got it. But, but yeah, I liked her. I thought she was great. Yeah. Carmela was great. So I'm hoping that it's the social media version or Carmela. She's not the same. Metal Pulse here says, a Theta want to leave Riga Vonder. She had an interview with the Dallas Morning News where she says she essentially she feels like it's time for her to move from move on from Ring of Honor and do more in AEW. She wants to be a was champ. I want to be TBS champ. I want to be a tag champ. Shoulder world that everything I've done holding a whole company on my back climbing to the top of the mountain mountain with it was all worth it.
Yeah, enough is enough on this one. Enough is fucking enough. I'll be honest like one of the biggest fumbles that Tony Khan actively is fumbling. Just fumble fumble fumble is Athena not being on main roster a year ago. I'm sorry when they had the opportunity like I don't care about you know written title rains that is written to be really long. She should have passed that torch on to Billy Stark's age is ago. I know what was it like final battle like twenty twenty four right. Yeah like that was the Billy Stark's match. Yeah, then send her to main roster. Yeah. Fuck. I've come on man. If if Tony Khan so intent on keeping her in Ring of Honor as champion because she's a centerpiece of Ring of Honor. All right. That shouldn't preclude her from still being involved on a regular basis and a W television containing for titles there.
Dude, it's been it's like being the centerpiece of darker elevation. Like at this point when's the last time anybody's really talked about Ring of Honor. It used to be when Tony first bought Ring of Honor. There were the first couple Ring of Honor pay per views had some buzz behind them. It was like well the weeklies are still crap. It's a bunch of squash matches, but it was an outlet. It was kind of like dark elevation where you you know had indie people come in get a little bit of exposure cool right on. At this point though like I don't even know I the last thing that I kind of remember was like I want to say Bandito to Keshda. I think had a barn burner. Like I don't even know how many pay per views ago that was. Yeah, I don't know either. But that was the last sort of buzzy thing I've heard about Ring of Honor. And if your brand is so listless, if it's just there like hey maybe one day we'll get a TV deal and maybe one day I'll start booking it like a real brand. Then okay great, but in the meantime Athena's being wasted. Nobody's really talking like she is a phenomenal wrestler. And in her prime, get her on cable television on a weekly basis.
Absolutely. Where everybody can watch this stuff. Exactly. Speaking of somebody who might not be an AW from much longer Anthony Bowen Stephen or Lowski hears his Anthony Bowen's AW contract expiring soon from fight full mentioned that his contract was set to expire is set to expire October first. Where the chance is he's out of there. You would think at the very least he would explore his options. I would love to think that there would be a place for him that would use him also to the best of his abilities. I think he's tremendous. I think he's got everything. Yeah, he's got everything. He's great. You know with AW I wonder if it's a situation where he was best known for one thing that isn't going to come back that's he acclaimed. I wonder if the real tell is going to be like with that whole acclaimed business.
They are the most popular thing that Bowen's and Castor ever did. It would be smart business for them to but if they're both out of AW to get back together and try to do that. But are they on the same page and is them being on the same page or not the reason why they stayed apart in AW or was it some other reason that we're not privy to. If they're both free agents and they don't link up then you got a wonder okay maybe they're just not into that idea because they're just not on the same page. And then we've seen that happen before that always same thing happen with LAX. Yeah. So that I mean that that's always kind of interesting to me how an act that's that was at one time the most popular act in AW just sort of fizzled out and what the reason is that that it fits about. But yeah he's got he's got everything you know any company be lucky to have this guy. Oh yeah. Last year Chinese finger trap is always as NXT heatwave being an eye opener for WWE after half of the live audience left before the main event according to those other guys so yes it's come to you for the rest of the observer.
So they did a they did a double header they did a triple A show and then following that was heatwave and apparently about half the building was empty before the main event started. Yeah apparently was eye opening because I thought the B thought that the marquee event would be the NXT show that turns out the triple A show is what the crowd really came to see and then about half of them left by the time Grayson Walter won that title. What level of shock are you at this zero zero zero zero. No little shocked settle we should be saying settle yes zero percent shocked dude I would go to a triple A show I go right now I believe this podcast set right now and go to a triple A show if they're running at the Orangevale Community Center. Cross the street yeah I would venture out that far I would I'd be like all right maybe I'd fire up twitch or something maybe like hey let's livestream this then I get tackled by security not allowed to do that.
No I can't do that but yeah man triple A it's a hot action right now NXT frigid cold frigid cold you heard you coming come on Grayson Waller is there a champion come on come on come on. Let's bring back black and gold baby you know bring back big names bowens. Yeah but the problem is now they bring in huge names and they could change their name. I'm like who's this guy what's a cruise Montana is that is that a town in Montana no it's Mike Santana Steve you know Mike Santa what's what's from LAX yes why did he change his name he was on TV in WWE as Mike Santana your guess is name I don't know. Yeah that's one place where people don't turn only have to change the names they W the post all in episode dynamite got some new stuff set up already a couple matches set for all out at the end of this month.
You know we were talking of those last week of the week prior about the possibility of the young bucks and copicage doing TLC match almost right. Three team TLC matches FTR young bucks and copicage chairs ladders and tables they can't do it. You order because that's copyright trademark. Yeah what's a what's a what's a ring side item that starts with an eye that you could include in this match. I knew you knew that's where there was you were going with that. Yeah because that would be a T.I. LC match. Yeah or yeah that's what I thought you were going with it. I know see I did the subversion thing and then I was going to come back around to it. Oh yeah that's horrible. It begins with it. I was trying to think of this too. Yeah I don't know we'll think about that anyway. Anyway it's still a surprising part to a degree was that FTR was involved but given that copicage that beefed with FTR earlier this year.
I guess not if they're trying to decide who's best tag team kind of period. I guess you need to kind of get the three top tag teams in AW for the last year I guess even though FTR and you have a longer than that. But if we're talking just like straight up best tag team where's Motor City machine guns where's new level you know. So I just do this right now is between the three of those teams but come on. Yeah I'm not a war just go ahead. So far this card looks amazing it's only two matches in all the time but the main event because it kind of came out nowhere and I think there's a reason behind it given especially Mox's reaction so main event was a really fun tag match the United Empire. Take on the combined demand and dogs. Get a course the United Empire gets the win. Osprey is in the ring he gets attacked. Mox makes the save is Gabe kid wants to hit my Osprey with a chair.
Mox even stands in front of Osprey. Well Gabe is low enough. Yeah but take swing and so Mox and Osprey have a moment where Mox helps him up gives him the title. He puts his hand kind of like around his neck and just kind of stares at him and then the graphic shows up on the tron that's your main event that match. Osprey versus Mox has made a window of all out. No bill but given Mox's reaction he seemed completely surprised that this match was happening. Oh you think so? That's my reaction. Oh man my reaction was Mox has something for this guy. This is sort of the grand plan. Let me train this guy. Get him the title and that's why he's so good because he's like and then I'm going to take that shit right off. Maybe but I kind of thought the inverse might be true because the boy I read it was Mox was super surprised. He literally dropped his jaw. He was doing that. Oh did he?
Yeah. Where is that? That wasn't. I'm curious if that's the direction they go because that was not personally that was my read on that. Whereas I thought Osprey was a little more steals. I thought maybe the situation where Osprey set the match up. Oh okay. Because he did say to Kenny like I didn't forget what death row is needed to me and I don't forgive him. I had them get past it. Now he got what he needed from that whole relationship. Now he's ready to get his revenge. Regardless regardless if I read it wrong or not. I don't know. I don't know. I love you but I just watch it. Yeah Mox look shocked to me. I love that bit. Regardless of what it was, I like the staging of it. I like the no words we're said. Yeah. And yeah, I thought it was really, really terrific segment right there. Let me go ahead and mute this really quick and get another read because I'm on Twitter right now looking at this segment here. Okay I can see how you could read it that way.
Mox looks up. Osprey looks over. And I don't know. It's kind of it's kind of ambiguous because it's not like Osprey like shoots a look back at Mox and is like look what I did. No, no, no, no, no. I think it works better that way if it's not clear. Yeah. Yeah. Because I thought the point of Mox putting his hand on on Ospreys on the back of his head was like, oh look what I did kind of thing. But yeah, then they just stare at each other. It's just aggression. And the Mox pulls back. Okay. All right. Yeah, I don't know. They're both me and tough guys right now. So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you're right. I don't know. In any event, I liked how it went down. I liked that it wasn't. You know, that was my only complaint. That was the high moment for me kind of on Dynamite last night. Was that reveal? Regardless of who set what up? Because it was so simple, it was so efficient, it was so effective.
The beginning of the show on the other hand, we had my new least favorite thing in wrestling in Ring promo, which I thought a lot of what Osprey had to say could have been said after the cameras went off. I want to thank this person. I want to thank that person. And then Ricochet comes out. He talks. And then Gabe Kid comes out. He talks and they set up a big multi-man, which I get. It's post all in. He just had like a 40 minute or whatever match. Yeah. Do something that's got more people involved. So it's a bit easier. But yeah, I think it was. I thought that last reveal. I thought that was pretty awesome. Yeah. I mean, the tag match itself was excellent. It was real fun. Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I'm not saying that they like, you know, but you know, I get the point about doing an extended talky bit just to set all that up. There's probably a more efficient way to do that without a doubt. I mean, they've done that in the past where it's just like, oh, tonight on Dynamite, we've got these matches here. But you know, I appreciate that they're trying to set those up. I mean, Gabe Kid is kind of the standout guy here, you know, because he's all like, I don't care.
You know, Ricochet comes out and he's not exactly being the ricochet that has been set up where he's obnoxious. And I, which I appreciate that, he's a multi-dimensional character. He's coming out paying respect to Will Osprey, but he's also taking credit. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here. And then Gabe Kid comes out as like, if it wasn't for you, I would have been the first Brit New Japan champion. I would have been the first Brit AW champion. And so instead of going after the title, I'm going to go up to your entire life. I'm going to ruin who you are. And I liked that because it adds like, you know, the X factor to it. Yeah, it definitely does. It definitely does. And that matches eventually made. And part of that is, of course, you know, at Empire at the time, just four members. And then we have Osprey, Hennari, Akira, and Calum Newman. And also during Will's promo, he said, I'm going to expand United Empire. You have like a US branch, which seemingly caused some tension between himself and Calum Newman, who was the leader of the New Japan branch. But anyways, Will's, they're sorry, they're asked about the fifth member.
It was like, I don't know, we got to find somebody and Calum's like someone here in A.W. Or United Empire member, he's in. It's on Draughty, of course, his number one contender. Yeah. For Will's title, he's got that contract he can execute whenever he wants. And he's all in. He's ready to go. And he actually helps out Osprey during his match and helps him get the win. Because he's looking for, sorry, me back up a little bit to the finish here. So, Will, Conor's looking for a spear on Osprey and then on Draughty steps in front and hits the back elbow on him. And then Will hits the hidden blade for the win. And that's when the post match brawl breaks out, where Gabe Kid gets the chair. Mox makes the save there. We get the set up for the match. But before Mox makes his appearance, on Draughty's all, it's totally down for helping out Osprey. They're shaking hands. They're cool. Yeah. Yeah. So you got to, I would anticipate that whatever happens between Osprey and on Draughty's going to be down the line potentially.
It's not going to be like the next week on Thottin White. They're going to get this Osprey Mox match in first. Yeah, which I really like because too often the casino gauntlet winner is a foregone conclusion loss. And so I like the idea that maybe, maybe they can actually build this in a way that'll lead us to believe that on Draughty has a chance here. Which I don't know that he does and I don't know that they will be able to do that. But I like that they would give it some time instead. Yeah. Me too. The typical Osprey champion, MJF had a promo after his match at all in. It pretty much says Osprey payback is coming for you. And you won't know what's going to happen by the time it's going to happen. You're going to be begging for it. So it sounds like MJF is going to be a real thorn in Osprey's side. Yeah. Once again, dude, you know, those posts, pay-per-view backstage promos they do. They just really work with him like he does such a great job with those. Yeah. But exactly what form that'll take. I have no idea.
Yeah, I don't know either. Mercedes celebrated her title win at all in. Had ballooned some tequila, some frame pictures and such. So she talks about her journey to the world title. Says she's the first man or woman to become a world champion for different companies. And she says, but to get there, I need to leave one thing behind of that was Willow. She says the whole time I thought Willow was trying to stop me from my destiny, but she was actually pushing me towards it. So thank you and look who's smiling now. She's interrupt by Tecla. And she was at her unhinged best here. Yeah, she was an absolute mess. She was. And so she was like, oh, this is great. I didn't come out here to interrupt you. I'm going to celebrate with you. I've ever brought my own tequila. So I really like you. You're an icon, you're a legendary and iconic. But for all the accolades and titles, you've never been toxic. Now, I want to say thank you for what you did to Willow, but also, ever since you've had that title,
notice you've been swinging that championship between your legs. Just let you know nobody swings it better than Tecla. And then says, I've heard you said since I've been gone, you've been calling people dumb bitch. There's one thing I hate more than a dumb bitch. Call another people dumb bitch, you dumb bitch. It says you may be the CEO, but I don't work for you. Here's to our new woman's world champion. So she just downs her drink. Yeah. The Mercedes takes a shot to kill Tecla. Tecla says, just let me know when you're ready to give me my title back. My heart broke a little when the line fell off the shot glass for Mercedes to kill. Yeah. Because you do. Well, she didn't have any salt on her hand either, did she? Did you do the thing either? No. She just brought dog that shit. Yeah, she did. Tecla's Provo got a great reaction from the crowd though. They were into what she was doing. Because she's all over the match. Yes. And it's so much. She'll oscillate between voices, between accents, between intensity.
And it's a wild ride. I mean, that's obviously going to happen all out. I'm assuming. Yeah, I would think so. I'd be good. Yeah. That's going to be a good one. Talking about good match. The most it wasn't official match. Derby defended the TNT title against Doug Zill. Jesus, dude. Oh my God. Like that camera was so close for some of the... Honestly, it's not even like him getting thrown in a stuff which he was. It was the shots. It was the forearms that Doug Zill was given. Derby, that at this point, I was like, okay. This might end his career because he's getting hit so fucking hard. I know. Yeah. Sort of anti-match was pretty great. It was pretty ridiculous. Like, I don't know. 10 minutes of it. They were fighting on the floor and through the crowd. And Derby did the coffin drop off the vomitorium and all that stuff. I have a question for you. Sure. Is Steve Borden, Steven Borden, sorry. Yeah. Steven Borden, not Steve Borden. Steve Borden. Steve Borden. Is he getting drop kick lessons from Mark Jindrek, Ando Kata, and Randy Orton to see if he can get the highest.
Because, oh my God. I know. Was that how that kick was ridiculous? So Derby gets the win. He hits a drop kick on Derby's on the floor. They barely beat the 10 count. And then when David slides in the ring, Derby gets the top row. It hits a paracoff and drops gets the win. That's when Wright Miyก-Vice comes to ring. Starts beating up on Derby. Steve Borden makes a save. He talks about shit to mark Derby's, Derby's about getting the ring. When Steve Borden's attack went behind by Josh Alexander. and then Josh hits Darby with a chop block, puts him in the ankle lock. Well, Davis hits Borden with a pod jar, but yeah, Stephen Borden's drop kick is top notch already. So it looks like maybe his first main roster actual match because he hasn't had one yet. Not on TV, no, he's been dressing a lot of dark matches. Yeah. With Josh Alexander, who's returning, which is a great idea. Well, I mean, I kind of feel like Josh Alexander is gonna be Darby's next feud.
Well, I wonder if they're gonna do right now if they're, they might do Alexander versus Borden in the build to Darby. Could be. Josh Alexander's a guy if you have somebody who's green, put him in there with him. I'm a mechanic. You're gonna get a good match at it. Yeah, you're gonna get Josh Alexander should be wearing those FTR shirts because he's a mechanic. No, he shouldn't. Nobody should, because they're so ill-fitting. They are totally ill-fitting. At least the ones they had on last night had it. Their FTR logo on the back, the ones that all it didn't. Yeah, I know, but I kind of like that they had the old NXT style thing on those ones. Well, that's right. They had the no-foot-lift just fish. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, put that on the black ones. They were the ones that they were wearing on Dynamite, a little better fitting. They weren't quite as weird fitting as the gray ones on the paper view. Yeah. That's my honest assessment. And I kind of feel like, you know, I wanted those to find the authority on Don't Have Stuff. The ones they wore it all in were a lighter hue. Whereas the ones on Dynamite, a little darker,
therefore, you know, a theory, a little more slimming. And therefore, looks like a fitting. Yeah, okay, sure. Yeah, maybe, maybe. I don't know. I think I got a good eye for that, though, dude. Well, I think I do think I do too. I think I have a better eye than you do. There's fabrics sticking up at the shoulders like that. It's pretty obvious. But I know that I was looking at all the contours. Were you looking at the contours? The best of my ability, yes. Yeah, see, that's the thing. Best of your ability. I'm best contour machine. I guess I'm gonna play with this today, you know? I don't know. That was a great wild card situation, but it was. Because his presence clearly distracted you. It did, it made it get that. Because it motivated me to get every rebound. That's what it was. Because that used to be our thing back in the day, who's playing his driveway to argue about who got all the rebounds. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I exhausted myself going after all the rebounds and then my legs were tired. I couldn't make a single jumper. Well, I appreciate that we're having that rubber match. And it was tight, it was close. And then he shows up and then throws you off your game, which only proves that you guys almost threw hands
20 years ago. It gave me a pep in my step. Yeah, it did. Able to secure that win. And then it was on the one versus one versus one. I was able to take advantage of you and him and your bad blood and get two of the three. I got that out of my system now. You think you're going to be more focused today if he does show up. No, but I don't think guys make it do with him. Swerve and New Level had their first trios tile defense against the Rascal. This match was awesome. Yeah, this is a lot of fun. This was a tons of fun. Although man, it's that three syllable thing. New level. The shout out doesn't work as well. It doesn't work as well. I think we're used to it here in New Day rocks for a decade, you know? I'm going to be another decade before I'm used to it. Could be. Then we'll go back for a nostalgia run in WWE. Anyways, fantastic match in the end. New level and Swerve get the win afterwards.
They're making their exit. They're confronted by the young bucks on the ramps. We go to commercial and we come back. Young bucks are cutting a promo and essentially ask Copen Christian. You're really happy winning at all in the way you won. So instead of Copen Cage coming out, FTR's stokely. Say yeah, make their entrance and stokely says to him, you've blown it twice now. You blew it at a revolution. You blew it at Wimbley. You're going to blow it for a third time. And Dax takes some mic. It says, Daddy's home now. We've beaten Copen Cage. Now it's time for you guys to step aside and watch us become four-time tag champs and Nick says, yeah, you've beaten us, but we've beaten you too. And there's something we've never done, which is cry-like little babies and say, I quit, which is how FTR lost Copen Cage. Last time, so this brings out Copen Cage. And he's like, you want to know how, if I feel bad about how he won, there's a saying. They don't ask how you won. They ask who won. It says, now something I've had a hard time wrapping my brand around is that they're supposed
to be the old guys around here and yet. Last time we were in the ring with each of you teams, we won. It says, we're the only one, oh, sorry, I'm surprised you guys aren't so embarrassed that you will need to take a 50% pay cut and go somewhere else rather than be embarrassed by us again. So Copen takes the mic. He says, I'm the voice of reason. I saw what happened at Wembley. Not happy about it. We're better than that. Here's how we're going to take care of it. And then he says, chairs, tables and ladders and three-way match it all out and then they hold up their tag titles in this metal-lingus place. On this day, Britt Baker and Persephone had promos as well or had a side-by-side promo. They're on the same page. I know that because Persephone was wearing a Britt Baker shirt. And she said, you know, I'm going to get on my beach chair to come back to this place. It's not for a gamble. It's for a guarantee. She says, your new TBS champ has something that can't be taught. Killer instinct. Take what's hers. And then she says, she says Persephone, he says, oh, sorry, Persephone then says, together
they'll be eternal. We have Noah Kiles heel. She said, I promise to make Maya's world stop spinning and I brought back the doctor. Like the fighting champ I've always been, I defended my title in Arena Mexico last night. And on collision, we give Vickson a chance of my new title. So Vickson versus Persephone. Yep. You could say. You might have seen a new tag team be born last night. We get a Kiles family interview. There's Kevin Knight. There's Kyle Fletcher. There's Don Kiles. And Lexi says, you know, it was a rough night for the Kiles family to all in. He mentions first that Kevin Knight lost the TNT title. Knight says, what we're not going to do is to mean me on live TV. Did you not see the stinging his whole family cost me that title while this man over here had another family member in his match and still lost the Fletcher loose of the shit. And he says, well, at least my title is still in the family. You lost the Darby. They start arguing. Kiles steps in says, we're playing the long game here. My plan was only followed by one man. And he's the only member who still has a title. I've a new plan to create some cohesion.
You two are going to team up against juice Robinson Ace Austin on collision. They're not happy about it. O'Cottah steps in. Discuss family Kyle family. Big old shit eating greens face. I mean, Kyle's not happy about that. He starts stepping to O'Cottah and Knight holds him back and he's like, don't touch me. Can they coexist? No. Of course not. Well, I mean, against juice and Ace. Oh, they probably win. Doesn't mean they can go to this. I mean, you know, they'll get the win. So that's kind of that's that's a good step towards fight themselves. They'll get the win. Yes. Yeah, there you go. Megan Bain faced Alex Windsor. So apparently this feud isn't over yet. It took some help from Lena Cross to help get Megan the win. So Lena goes and gets one of the tag titles after Windsor and Bain hit each other close lines on the floor. So she's trying to hit Windsor with one of the tag titles, but Jamie Hader comes over and starts brawn with her. Rest distracted by that.
Megan picks up the tag title that lead a dropped blast Windsor with it follows with the running power bomb to get the win. Then afterwards and Megan and Lena starts stomping on Windsor that Hader gets the ring with the tag title to chase them off. We had a pretty quick continental championship liminary match between Max and ARF Fox. Guess who won this one? Not ARF Fox. Yeah, Mox did. It was maybe five, six minutes. It was pretty short. Yeah, it was. With the death rider. And then finally, seemingly we're getting Jericho. It's going to be fiend with Nick Wayne because Jericho's asked about not winning the gauntlet and said, I didn't win, but I didn't lose either. There is Nick Wayne who got pinned. Nick steps in and says, you know, at Wimbly, I own the ring and I took you out of this match. Was it safe? He's so shitty that Nick. Yeah, he's really good at being shitty. Yeah. Jericho says, you know, you are one of the greatest 21 year old wrestlers I've ever seen, even better than I was at 21, but you're still just 21. He makes fun of his pukeshell necklace.
They start brawling. Then Nick kicks Jericho right in the balls. Yes. Yeah. That was dynamite. And that was dynamite. Would you like to answer some questions? They answer a few questions. Yes. I'll answer a few questions. All right. Rolo Tomassi 95 says, are you heading towards a United Empire Civil War? Osprey mentioned in the intro that he's going to create a new, uh, United Empire in a W. Could be. Yeah, because Callum Newman didn't seem excited about the second branch of United Empire. So he has possibility. Part of me and sizing. Part of me hopes on Drate joins Osprey and in. I could definitely see that. I think that would just be awesome. He'd be like, hey, listen, on Drate, you got a title shot, but also you get to be in my new crew. How about that? Tells them that before the title shot to sort of soften on Drate app. You know, make them, ah, you're my best friend, you know. So on Drate, it'll take it easy on a little conflicted right there. You know, and I'll draw these. And I'll draw these and wait too long for this title shot. I don't think he's going to be conflicted about it.
Ah, here you want some ice cream? Here's some ice cream. It's like a lactose intolerant. How do you know? Donald C. Mann here says, who should be the first musical guest for the first official WrestleMania half time show concert brought to you by Slim Jim? Who should be and who will be? Who should be is a reform lent biscuit? Who will be is? They've been torn there. They are reformed. They've been torn all over the place. They've been torn for a while. Well, there you go. Yeah. So them. Yeah. Ah, but who will it be? Like the rotting corpse of Kid Rock? That's probably who he will be. Yeah. Uh, kid Adams business firm says question for Larsen. How strictly do you track calories and do you work cheat meals into your regimen? Do you have a day dedicated to him? I track calories roughly. I track my macros more specifically. And yeah, once a week, usually in the weekend, I give myself a meal, where I'm dizzy, whatever. I'm not care about it. What was the last meal you ate that was, whatever?
Well, this past weekend it was kind of wasn't necessarily just one meal. It was kind of several small cheat meals. For example, the chicken McRiddle. That I had at your house on Sunday. How was that, by the way? Yeah. Yeah. Sausages, not as good as the real. Yeah. You should have the tried steak. No. A day before I had something I remember what it was. But yeah, once a week, I try to give myself a meal, or this you would ever want. Mm-hmm. But otherwise, yeah. I mean, I'm not like super strict about calories. I have a range. But at this point, wouldn't you kind of inherently understand like, you know, in general, in the qualities anyways? Like, hey, this is, you know, you only, you don't consume that wide range of stuff. No, not really. No. Yeah. I try to hit my protein goals and relatively balanced on the macros that I want to get. That's it. But like, days where we play basketball, if I'm hungry at night, I don't go to bed hungry because I'm burned a bunch of calories, you know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'll eat a little something extra if I need to. Let's see here. Take three, leave three before we leave for the day. All right. Ronan the Analyst is bringing us this one. Take three, leave three movie characters for a faction gang warfare. The catch is, I get to keep who you leave. Okay. All right. So leave really goes to stealing. So we're kind of doing a draft, but I'm the one that's drafting, essentially. You're drafting everything. Yes. All right. Yeah. All right. One, take three, leave three for your faction gang warfare gang. Yeah. Mr. Spock. Like Loki, he's a decent fighter in that, that, that, that, uh, nerve hole he has is devastating. Vulcans do have enhanced strength, I think they do. They do. And if he doesn't mind meld with somebody, oh my God. Jesus, he could shut them down.
I'm taking Spock. Take Spock. All right. Number two, Dutch from Predator. What's a matter? CIA got you pushing too many pencils. It's the character of Dutch, right? All right. Yeah. As opposed to, as opposed to Arnold, you know, yeah, no, Dutch. You're not getting letter D, more normal sports than Agerman. Yeah, no, I guess I'll, I'll keep Dutch. You're gonna keep Dutch, all right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Who are you? Yeah. Next up. God damn it, dude. You're gonna fucking stick me with this guy. Daniel, Daniel playing view from the movie. Yeah. You get playing. It's not about bitch. This guy. He. Like, I got a competition to be because the nerve hole. You'd be too busy fucking sticking it to me. I'm probably end of getting final scene playing view.
Or he's limping around with the fucking bowling pin. You surped the leadership of the team from you. Dutch will turn that guy into dust. Yeah. Hey, what's a matter playing view? Your oil fields got you pushing too many pins. US oil. Next up. Damn, be stuck with this guy too. Hey, punk. I got one question for you. Dirty Harry. Yeah, dirty Harry. Oh, you got dirty Harry. God damn it. Uh, and then next up, uh, oh, Jesus guy. God damn, you got the opportunity here to sink me with some fucking, some chumps, bro. Goodfellas. Tommy DeFito. This fucking guy. He's going around shooting kids in the foot. Yeah. Unprodictable. You got Tommy. My team is an abject disaster. All right, who's my last member? All right, your last one is Nick Cage from, uh, camera from Conair.
I got a good head of hair. He does have a sorely good head of hair. Yeah, man. Geez, you're killing me right here. Yeah. You don't even, your team doesn't have to touch mine. My guys will just go after each other. I know. Nailed it. Nailed it. Got this. Well, it wasn't really. This was not difficult, Ronan. This was specifically designed just to stick it to me. All right, let's see one more blind, we'll do a blind power rink for you from diehurt Homer. This one's going to stick it to me again. We'll see. It says, rank the seven guilty pleasure food items. All right, have at it. All right. First here, a hot dog with all the fixings. Oh, but do you think you're saying that a guilty pleasure? Or just a staple at the top of the food triangle. Yeah, it's a guilty pleasure, man. Top of the triangle.
It's like three quarters. Is that what it is now? Three quarters of the food triangle on the base is like salmon. But it's the entire base. It is. It's all built on salmon. Yeah, hot dog, dude. I can eat eight glizzies in a row, man. Hot dog number one. Oh, wow. Sure. All right, next here. Quarter pounder with fries. Number two. Quarter pounder with fries. Keep them coming. Keep them coming. Next here. Let's do this one. A shakeroni. Number seven. Because there was nothing different about it. It was just shitty pepperoni pizza. That was awful. Number seven shakeroni. All right, next. Chicken big nuggets. Love me some big nuggets. They got that 40-piece bundle now. Number three big nuggets. All right, what's the boss do you have left? Four five six. Four five and six. All right. Let's go with...
Let's go with this one. Donuts. Donuts. You know, man. The last couple times I got to... I got to switch up my donut because like I got a chocolate old fashion from the local joint. It really wasn't all that great. I'm gonna go donuts at this point in my life. Number six. Oh. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. That hurts. Next. Nick Rittle. Yeah, I mean, dude. As long as it's a sausage one and not a steak one, I'm gonna go with number four. All right, you got five left. You got five left. Yeah, five you put. Probably should be number one. It's Popeye's chicken sandwich. I mean, look here. Depending on my mood, Larson. One through five could all be one. They could all be in number one. Sometimes I just, man, a quarter pounder with fries from McDonald's just hits. Sometimes I just want some nuggets.
McGriddle in the morning. Oh, man. That's perfect. And then Popeye's chicken sandwich. Sure. But if it's like 9 a.m. Give me the McGriddle. Any of those five could be number one. All right. I think I absolutely nailed that list. So anyways, that's gonna do it for the show today. Thanks everybody for tuning in. We appreciate it. Till next time, we'll see you guys around. Goodbye.
