In this episode of the Agent Crowley series, Joel Thomas pulls back the curtain on one of the strangest chapters in Aleister Crowley’s American years.
From Voodoo Zombies and the occult underworld of New Orleans…
to the Gnostic Mass, Kabbalah, and hidden wartime intelligence networks…
Joel traces the deeper story of how Crowley moved through America during a time of chaos, ritual experimentation, propaganda, and spiritual corruption.
This episode dives into Crowley’s occult operations, his ties to powerful networks, the symbolism of the Tree of Life, and the deeper meaning behind the Gnostic Mass and Thelemic ritual practice.
Along the way, Joel explores how New Orleans became a key setting in Crowley’s story — a city of vice, ritual energy, and spiritual tension — while broader forces of espionage and manipulation were moving behind the scenes.
This is where occult philosophy, ritual magick, and hidden power converge.

Before we get into today's episode, I've got something big dropping this Thursday. I'm
teaming up with Isaac Wisehop from a cult symbolism and pop culture for a brand new podcast called
Isaac and Joel's Quarter Quelle. This is the first episode of a quarterly series, one show every

All right.
Let's get into it.
What's good guys?
We are back with another episode of free the rabbits and we are back on some secret agent
Crowley.
And this is an ongoing series that I've been doing since about the inception of this
show.
So if you're brand new, I would say go back and watch the previous seven to eight episodes
that I've already done because this is a series that will be continuing for a while until
finally we get to the very end of it, but it'll be a while before that.
But today we're going to go into another layer of secret agent Allister Crowley and some
of the things he was doing in the United States specifically in conjunction with the Germans
but working for British intelligence, but also manipulating the Americans as well.
So he had his hand in a lot of different pots.
We're going to talk about some interesting people that he was connected to today that
also had some very interesting practices that they were involved in.
We're going to break down the Gnostic Mass a little bit today too because some of those
people that he was connected to that were also connected to the Germans were also connected
to this ritual that was done as a part of the auto template orientus.
And it was set up by Crowley himself and this is part of what I talk about a lot on this
channel is that Gnosticism and again to the Gnostic, I understand that Gnosticism is
a massive umbrella, but I will say this all of these occultists throughout history are
Gnostic and they wholly believed in it while simultaneously fighting against Christianity.
So I have a really tough time with the person who's the Christian Gnostic because what
you are practicing is in alignment with what these occultists also practice.
We're going to talk about this Gnostic Mass today that Crowley set up himself, but to
even get there, we're going to jump from where we were on the very last episode that we
talked about, secret agent Crowley, and we're going to talk about him leaving Lake Pasconi,
which we talked a lot about in the anthrax and the cross of the frog episode, which was
the last one, and how that Evangeline Adams, who was a big astrologer to the rich and
famous and who wrote and co-authored books with Crowley, had allowed him to stay at
her lake house and how he was performing all these different rituals there.
I mean, he was contacting Orbs there, sounds a lot like some of the guys in the UFO space
right now, but Crowley has a gap of time in his confessions, and we talk about his
diaries, we talk about his confessions a lot on this channel, and in this series, and
he ignores several months in between him leaving Lake Pasconi to go to New Orleans.
And we're going to talk a little bit about New Orleans today, obviously, we're going
to talk about his jumped off Florida, and why that he was in New Orleans, the Florida,
and we're also going to talk about his return to New York.
And all of these not only have these occult machinations to them, but also his contacts
with the British intelligence and who he was trying to connect with while he was away
and subsequently when he headed back to New York.
So it's interesting about this gap of time, and he talks about this some in confessions,
and we're definitely going to look at chapter 78 a good bit today because he goes into
some of what he was doing initially when he went into New York, but also this gap of
time, right?
This is this weird gap of time where he said he was doing all these different magical
operations.
And he talks about during this time that he's granted what the mystics describe is the
be a tithic vision.
Now in Christian theology, specifically Catholicism, it talks about the direct sight of God, and
it's the final when you see God at that final site.
But according to Crowley, he attributes it to the titha-rath, the archetypal idea of
beauty and harmony.
Now the titha-rath is the sixth Sephora in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, and it represents
spirituality, balance, integration, beauty, miracles, compassion, really the union of
the polarities, right?
And when the titha-rath is first talked about, it's in the bah here, and the bah here
is an anonymous mystical work, and it is first mentioned in the late 20th century, and
it is one of the early books that eventually became known as the Kabbalah.
And in that book, it says six is the adorned glorious, the life of a throne of glory, the
house of the world to come.
It's places engraved in wisdom as it says, God said, let there be light in there was light.
So obviously, there's going to be a lot of overlap when we're talking about Kabbalistic
thought patterns, and in connection to the Old Testament specifically.
So this is Jewish mysticism 101, and Crowley was big on Jewish mysticism, big on the Kabbalah,
big on geometry and numerology, all these things Crowley adhered to, and he is speaking
specifically about the connection to the titha-rath or this beatific vision, and he goes on
to second his confessions in this vision one retains one's normal consciousness, but
every impression of daily life is as enchanting and in squizz it as the ode of Keats.
The incidents of life become a harmonious unity.
One is lost in a rosy dream of romantic happiness, and notice the emergency rosy dream,
and Crowley is connected to also the rose accrucians as well.
And that's specifically from the order of the Golden Dawn, and we're going to see that
here in a second as we continue with what he says in his confessions.
One may compare it to the effect produced by wine on some people.
There is, however, no unreality in the vision.
And it's not blinded to the facts of existence is simply that the normal incoherence and
discrepancy between them has been harmonized.
So this is this union of the polarities, the order in chaos.
He goes on to say, while in this subject, let me mention that the titha-rath corresponds
to the great of initiation on the threshold of the order of the red, rose, and gold cross.
So we're back to rosy-crucianism again, and I encourage people to go back and listen
to my five part series on rosy-crucianism in America.
But he says, and to the knowledge and conversation of the holy guardian angel.
So obviously your HGA is always going to be connected with these practices, specifically
in Crowley's case, Iowa's, even though he did have connections to many, many other entities
throughout his career.
And in regards to this titha-rath, he says it therefore marks a critically important
stage in initiation.
Only one other is equally 777.
We know that's the number of God, but we also know it is used as an inversion when we're
talking about the Kabbalah, when we're talking about many of these occult secret societies.
And we know that John D used it as his magical number as well.
They view it as a number of perfection, which it is a number of perfection, but they are
trying to bo-guarded over into their line of thinking as it's their line of perfection.
This is what Crowley's talking about right here.
He says, I have called the vision corresponding to this vision of wonder, which permeates
one's daily life in a similar way.
The difference is that penetrating beyond sensory perceptions, one is aware of the mechanism
of events of the subtle chain of causes which connect them.
So by combining the microcosm us with the macrocosm, which is, in Crowley's case, baffamette
or ennostic traditions, obviously the boothos that you are being, you are now able to perceive
reality in a deeper lens, in a deeper way than the people around you are.
So when things are happening, you're looking at them at a completely different ascended
level than what others would where they would get caught up in the mundane, whereas you
are looking at the mundane in every little microcosm as a movement towards the greater macrocosm.
He says, the effect is that one is lost and wonder at the ingenuity of the universe to
use a very inadequate word as being the only one available.
One feels the intense, a wed admiration with the greatest masterpieces.
So he's going to name out some names here and he's going to talk about some of these
artists and writers and he says of Kant Beethoven, Shakespeare.
There we go.
There's a huge connection to rose accrucianism, Rembrandt, Ryman Kelvin, and such as they
inspired with the difference that all impressions are equally poosent to produce it.
So the fact that they are able to connect to the macrocosm to create this art, but also
if you have found that union through this tiffa wrath that you will be able to also perceive
the art the way that the initiate is supposed to perceive it.
This is what he's talking about and this is what he's doing in this in between time between
the time he had in Connecticut to this time in New Orleans.
And he also has a connection to Gertavon Kothak and we remember Gertavon Kothak and she
was a German prostitute and the young angel of revolution.
And she was one of Crowley's lovers and we know that he talked about her being the German
prostitute that was also connected to Alice Kumara Swami or Ratan Devi and we're going
to talk about her a little bit later in this episode, but we did talk about that whole
escapade in the last Crowley episode that we had and he actually has some interactions
with her in that time period between Connecticut and New Orleans as well.
And she actually signals some urgency when she meets him for the last time.
So the thought pattern is that there was some information traded between her and him and
we're going to talk about her husband too and some information that he was also trading
off the Crowley.
So Crowley was manipulating a lot of people around him to gather information and specifically
we know that Gertavon was doing that by sleeping with other men and even her husband and retrieving
information from him and sending it back to Crowley who then he would give it to British
intelligence.
There's a couple of other things that are important during this in between time and one
of them is a George Vox bacon and he was an American journalist and he was sent to Britain
in September of 1916 by German intelligence officers in New York City.
So he's in New York City and he is a writer for PhotoPlay magazine and he was finding out
about anti aircraft defenses.
He was looking at fighting ship technology and he was checking on the morale of the people
in Great Britain because obviously the wars rate waging the Americans aren't in world
world one yet.
So it's a chess game and it's all a chess game for the Germans to stop the Americans from
coming into the war and for the British to get the Americans to come into the war.
And as we've been building this entire series we know that Crowley was a huge catalyst
to bring the Americans into world war one and the British end up finding out that George
Vox bacon is working with German intelligence and they find this incriminating evidence in
his possessions and some of its secret writing materials and the name and address of known
German intelligence contacts in the Netherlands.
So we're going to get to how that British intelligence found out about this guy and Crowley
is going to be a head that keeps popping up as he always does when people are found out
that he has some sort of affiliation with through multiple sources that are within the
German camps a lot of times and this is no different.
So while bacon was a German agent in New York he had some key contacts there.
One of those was Albert Sander and he was another journalist and he was the head of the
German American Literary Defense Committee.
So Sanders was also tight with George Sylvester Varick and we know George Sylvester Varick
he was Crowley's boss because he was head over the propaganda paper, the fatherland which
Crowley wrote for.
So Crowley was really tight with him plus Varick ran the propaganda cabinet circles with
a lot of different men who were saddling up to the American government obviously trying
to stop them from coming to the war but at the same time they were pushing a lot of propaganda
throughout the United States to convince the Americans not to step into the war too.
And George Sylvester Varick was a big part of this but Crowley worked for him.
So we have this connection between bacon and Albert Sander who Albert Sander was very close
to Varick.
So this is how Crowley is able to start keeping tabs on who's doing what and Varick was very
loose lit with Crowley from all indications so whatever information Crowley needed to get
because they believed that Crowley had their back.
I mean you've got to think Crowley was teaching them occult practices.
We know that Crowley was also acting like he was very anti-British while simultaneously
working for British intelligence and that makes a good secret agent.
We also know at the time Crowley was working underneath Sir William Wiseman who had come
into the United States and he brought in his new handlers and one of those was Norman
Graham Thwates which we've talked about in the last episode as well and Thwates was one
of the personal handlers to Crowley but Wiseman was Crowley's boss too and we know that
M.I.5 was put on Bacon's trail from tips emanating from Wiseman's New York section of M.I.5.
So we know Crowley who's connected to Varick who's also connected to Sanders is also connected
to Bacon.
So this is the chain of command and by the time the information gets to Crowley he funnels
it up to Thwates who then funnels it to Wiseman and we know for a fact that the information
came out of Wiseman's camp so it makes perfect sense that Crowley was again thwarting the
Germans behind the scenes while also working for them and what's interesting is in 1917
Bacon was sentenced to death but he turned on Sanders to save himself and they end up sending
him back to the United States and he ends up skating because of it because he turned on
Sanders and several others but Sanders ends up getting locked up in a federal pen and Atlanta,
Georgia.
So Crowley again at the central centerpiece of taking down yet another German intelligence
agent while working for British intelligence.
So another incident that happens during this in between period that we've been talking
about is surrounding this submersible called the Deutschland and the Deutschland pulls up
in the first of November in 1916 in Connecticut in New London and it's about 120 miles northeast
of Manhattan.
Now there's a crowd that gathers there and what one of the important central people that's
there when it docks is Frederick Hitch and he was kind of a sabotage king that was working
for the Germans and he was also connected to Anton Dilger and if you remember last episode
when we were talking about anthrax and we were talking about these different cultures
of viruses that were being cultivated to use his biological warfare that Anton Dilger
was doing this in the United States.
Now we know that Crowley went to DC and for on vacation he was trying to gather information
on Dilger.
It doesn't look like they Crowley got a whole lot of headway there but we do know that
Frederick was connected to Dilger.
So here's what's interesting about the Deutschland.
So when the submersible pulls up to the American docks in Connecticut it's carrying chemical
dyes, medicines and gems plus packets of confidential mail for Ampaster von Bernstorff.
Now if you remember von Bernstorff was a German politician ambassador to the United States
from 1908 to 1917 and he was also connected to people within politics and he was outed
as working for German intelligence and Crowley had a lot of problems with von Bernstorff
and he received these confidential packets in this submersible trip.
Also it is suggested that there were fresh cultures for Anton Dilger's germ lab in
Maryland which makes sense because Frederick Hinch was tight with Dilger.
So we've got all of this going on and you're going to wonder how does this tie into Crowley
here?
Well it's going to make sense here in a second.
So during the Deutschlands 20 days import there were rumors that British warships were
lurking to ambush just outside of a three mile radius.
Now there is a storm which happens but the Deutschland gets away and the Deutschland never
comes back to the Americas after that.
But during that time the submarine hosted a steady stream of visitors.
Guess who they hosted?
Bernstorff and Varic, Varic who is tied directly into Crowley.
So Varic would have told Crowley whatever was going on on that ship, whatever that ship
had Crowley would have been privy to.
And here is what makes it even more interesting.
So Crowley wrote in the natural thing to do which was a fictionalized book and it centered
around Simon if who was a detective and Simon if was supposed to be a fictionalized kind
of souped up version of Crowley.
He talks about returning to England by the Deutschland.
So in the book it's not a sub-ringing but it is a liner but he had never used that
verbiage before and any other writing and it only happened after this Deutschland had
come to the United States and then left and then never came back again.
The thought pattern is is that Crowley was trying to find a way to get to Germany and as
a matter of fact Armado Crowley, Charles Armado Crowley who was an English occult writer
and magician who was said to be the illegitimate son of a cultist and mystic Aleister Crowley
and over a period of 30 years from 1970s to 2000s he published many books and recordings
about his time that he learned under his father in secret and again mainstream historians
will tell you that this guy is lying and maybe he is lying you know what I mean but I know
that there are several Crowley and historical writers that talk about this guy specifically
because he seems to know a whole lot about Crowley and it lines up to a lot of what Crowley wrote
about. One of the things he says specifically considering this Deutschland he says that Crowley
had long expressed his desire to go to Germany and report on the conditions of the country
but it was rejected by the quote unquote unimaginative British officials so he couldn't get the
British to sign off on him going to Germany as a secret agent there and I here's what I honestly
think the more that I dig into Crowley the more that I see that no one really trusted him not even
British intelligence as much as they let him skate into what he wanted and he stayed out of trouble
because of obviously the great information he was bringing to them I think they knew deep down
that Crowley was out for himself he touted this British patriotism and I think there was some of that
right we talked about that I think even in the very first episode we did this series that he did
have a certain level of British patriotism that he kept but he was Alster Crowley he was the beast
he was looking out for himself and I think that the occult always took center stage over anything
else over anything he did as a secret agent over any mass trickery that he was doing to people
pulling the wool over their eyes masquerading as whatever character that he was masquerading as
you know he was a Charlotteson too I don't take that out of the equation I've told you guys that
but I don't think that any intelligence agency truly trusted him and I think the British were
no different and I think they were worried about if they sent him to Germany what he might do
and to that point I brought up Simon if and I want to deviate off just for a second to talk about
the Simon if tales and one of the big stories that he ever wrote with Simon if in it was obviously
the moon child and I've talked about the moon child on this channel before and we don't need to go
into that today but Simon if was a central character in that but he was writing Simon if short
stories long before the moon child moon child he started writing while he was in New Orleans and
we're in this in between period so he starts doing a lot of Simon if short stories right we need
gets to New Orleans so I think it's important to talk about Simon if and this souped up version
of Crowley because of what he was trying to convey to the audience and specifically the initiate
because the if characters interesting and the stories are interesting because they're pretty
unique in a sense that there's no supernatural elements to any of these stories at all there's
no paranormal phenomena that go on in these stories and as a matter of fact all the cases that
Simon if investigates are all very human crimes right what makes it interesting and what
qualifies them as a cult detective stories is the methods of which Simon if tries to figure out
what is going on with these cases the who've done it right and in it he is a magus so he is
connected to the occult and they do talk about the white brotherhood the black brotherhood
they do talk about called aspects but really it's all centralized around Simon if's ability to
understand the human psyche and this is very interesting because Simon if has a profound knowledge
of all human psychology and he knows by just looking at people's mannerisms and how that they
appear and what they say it shows him what makes them tick and he thinks that it may make them
look eccentric to other people but it helps him be able to decipher who did what and that's how
he as a detective in the stories is able to break down the end game and figure out the end of the
cases and again it's what makes his detective stories unique in the sense that they're not overtly
occult however let's not throughout the idea of occult blinds and the idea of twilight language
which is all through it but on the surface level they're not super occult now moon child will come
off a little more that way but it's not so much centralized around paranormal activity or whatever
it's still more about a who done it however it is talking about the creation of a homunculus or a
moon child so I believe that would probably be a little bit more in the occult vein than some of
the other stories that he wrote and I think that the way he wrote about Simon if is how he worked as
a secret agent because one of the things that he's Simon if for is Simon if's beliefs that in order
to solve a crime it's necessary to study the minds of the people involved he says that minds are
more important than facts so he's got no machinations in trying to dig around on the floor looking for
clues he doesn't care about people's alibis he doesn't care about blood stains he doesn't even
care about the scene of the crime sometimes Simon if won't even show up what he does care about
is information on the people involved to understand the workings of their minds that is how Simon if
is able to come to the conclusions of all these cases it makes perfect sense and the reason why I
broke away to talk about just a little bit about the Simon if stories is there a direct reflection
in my opinion of how Crowley operated with people it was all about understanding how the mind
worked how to manipulate someone you know what's very interesting about Crowley depending on what
person and what situation he was in they would say he was stupid or they would say he was weak or
they would have something negative to say about him there would be other people that have the
complete opposite to say obviously I really feel like those are people he wanted them to feel that
way that's a true secret agent because a true secret agent does not care about what the person
thinks about them so much as getting the job done and this place right into the Simon if tails
and if they were interested in checking those tails out I mean they're all over the internet to
read for free you just type in Simon if PDFs short stories moon child's another one they're all
fictionalized tales but they're very interesting because it lets you know about how Crowley's
mind was working not only on a British intelligence level but also the way that he thought about
other people because some of these people that he had to stay for specifically Samuel Bell
matters he wrote about and added them in his characters in his books hi I'm Alicia and I'm Stacy
and we make trashy divorces everybody's favorite good podcast about bad relationships looking

daily now because the future is happening fast and it's way too fun to miss so now we get to
Crowley's time in New Orleans and he's very coy in it even in his diaries about what he's doing
there we really got a dig deep to find out what his true reasons were for being there because he
says at least in his diaries that it was all a desperate magical effort so this was all to do with
his magical incantations his magical ascension this was where he was writing all these Simon if
writings and the moon child this was where he was really finding himself finding his groove in
the Americas when it came to magic and the magical operations that he was trying to perfect but
there are other people involved that are there new Orleans at the same time that we can look at
there's probably more to it than just Crowley and what he was working on with occult practices
there were some other very interesting people that he was connected to now when he first gets there
on November 12th he says that he receives a receipt of the largest sum of money I have
handled in 12 months since his last road trip and he notes that his original destination was supposed
to be Texas and we'll talk about that in a little bit because he speaks on why that he was headed
to Texas we'll talk about one of these central characters that was in Texas that's connected to this
whole area that he's in in New Orleans but we're going to go back to chapter 78 of confessions
because this is where we get what he has got to say about New Orleans and he says New Orleans
in San Antonio are said to be the only two towns in the United States which possess
souls of their own so here he's talking about that most towns and cities in the United States
have a very uniform feel they're not unique but he goes on to say that the relief confer by the
old quarter of New Orleans threw me instantly into an ecstasy of creative energy I wrote day and
night continuously poems essays and short stories my principal invention was the detective Simon if
whose method of discovering the solution of a problem was calculation of the mental and moral
energies of the people concerned this is back to the Simon if idea that he was just using
Simon if stories as a vehicle to show how he would break down the people that he was around
and how he could manipulate them to do what he needed them to do so to get to more of what
Crowley's doing on a secret agent level in New Orleans we have to look at a Lindley Miller case
and he was a teacher scholar and activist and he was born on February 24th 1867
in New Jersey and he was the son of a wealthy and aristocratic Anthony Quentin and Edwina
Luisa Kasey and her father a successful lawyer had been appointed by the president
Abraham Lincoln as the United States attorney for New Jersey where he started from 1861 to 1886
so he came from a very aristocratic family now we're going to talk about how he gets in trouble
with the United States a little bit but to get to that we got to talk about his connection to Crowley
so to get to that Kasey ends up meeting with Crowley now Kasey is in Texas at Austin so this is
kind of that connection to Crowley and Texas and the idea that Crowley was trying to head to Texas
there's various reasons but this was one of them but Kasey was interested in starting a branch
of the OTO and he knew that Crowley was the American chief of the order and so he wanted Crowley
to lend a hand in helping to build that but we got to dig a little bit deeper what Crowley's
agenda was here so obviously Kasey is from this wealthy New Jersey clan he graduated from Harvard
in Columbia he studied in Germany and guess who he became really good friends with Hugo
Moonstorburg so we know that Hugo Moonstorburg is like Crowley's nemesis but Crowley's been keeping
tabs on him this whole time he's also trying to figure out a way to take Moonstorburg out not just
for British intelligence reasons but Crowley's personal reasons because he couldn't stand him we
also know that when Crowley was at Lake Pasconay and he was several hours away from Hugo Moonstorburg
in Boston and we know that Crowley was said to have been visiting there to keep tabs on Moonstorburg
there so here's just another way to watch what Crowley's doing and his pro German machinations
and what he was up to in connection to the Germans as well so not only is Crowley keeping tabs on
Moonstorburg through Kasey but he's also watching Kasey now Kasey ends up getting in trouble
with the Americans because Kasey had ties to pro Germanism which was already being looked at by
the Americans but he was also said to be a socialist revolutionary which some people think that he
had a connection to Gerder von Kothek which obviously so did Crowley and Crowley could have had
in with Kasey there to keep an eye on him through Gerder von Kothek and he actually bitterly opposed
the Woodrow Wilson administration at the time and that obviously put major eyes on him by the
United States and he had links to German networks in New Orleans and Mexico so by the time Crowley
does end up leaving New Orleans Kasey had such trouble that at that time Crowley
wasn't even keeping in contact with him anymore but the real reality is Crowley was funneling
information to British intelligence and it seems to be he was also funneling either through them
or directly to American intelligence what Kasey was up to or at least modeling what Kasey was up to
and again Kasey is just being watched heavily at this point he's not being arrested
but there's a lot of heat on him right now and Crowley wants to stay away from that but obviously
think Crowley had a lot to do with bringing that heat on Kasey but to connect another piece
of why that Kasey and Crowley were working together was also Theodore Roos and I know I've
talked about Theodore Roos during this series too but just to refresh you he was a German
occultist Freemason Illuminati Martinus Rosa Crucian Theosophist journalist singer and founder
of Ordo Templai Orientis and he was the one that gave Crowley his mission to start the OTO
here in the United States so Theodore Roos was a big part of this connection because Crowley
and Kasey would have been talking about direct orders coming down from Roos and what's interesting
about Roos he was a pacifist but he was pro-German and he was trying to stay out of the entire
war that was going on and he started this a national grand lodge a mystic temple of the Ordo
Templai Orientis and Hermetic Brotherhood of Light and that was started in 1916 at Monte Verita
in Switzerland and he wanted to create this idea of a pacifist answer to the war through this
lodge at least that was part of it right and one of the things he talked about was the two neutral
centers of the order one of them was in Monte Verita which we talked about and the other was in
New York and the New York chapter was in the hands of the beast Alistair Crowley and Alistair Crowley
talks about one of the new rituals that was the main ritual of the lodges which was the
Gnostic Mass and we're going to break down the Gnostic Mass here because I think it's important
because of Crowley's connection to the government I want to talk about one specific part of the
Gnostic Mass which is super disgusting and weird that I think plays into the modern day
occult rituals that go on behind the scenes in the government as well specifically when we're
talking about the Epstein's of the world the Bush's the Clinton's bomb is even the Trump's
no people don't like to hear that happen is true and to get there though he writes the Gnostic Mass
and it is technically called Lieber 15 and this was in 1913 when he was in Moscow, Russia
and he says it represents the original and true pre-Christian Christianity oh god here we go
so this is interesting right this is very very Gnostic by nature because what Gnostic say
that they are the true version of Christianity they believe that Pauline Christianity these versions
are the fake versions the real version is the versions that spawn from the S scenes
and Crowley saying the exact same thing again I'm asking the question how can you
believe that you're a Christian and be a Gnostic you can you can in my opinion isn't a
cult dark road that you're going down even though you believe it is the path of light and why would
people like Crowley feel so comfortable being able to use the literature and use the ideas
that come from Gnosticism and again he creates this Gnostic Mass from that idea and he uses the
structure similar to the mass of Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church and he
implements the principles of the Lima into it and the ceremony calls for five officers a priest
of priestess Deacon and two adult act lights called the children quote him quote now
now that is what the mainstream say I'm going to dig another layer there and explain
what it is these children really are because this is what you're just going to see in these very
surface level very mainstream depictions of the Snostic Mass and you probably see people perform
the minute will be to adults right just on the outward shell that's not what was really going on
now the end of the ritual culminates in the consummation of the Eucharist and it's a gobble of wine
and a cake of light and then they end it by saying there's no part of me that's not of the gods
now the cake of light super interesting there are so many different weird things about that
because the cake of light contains flour honey obramellain oil which is an anointing oil and it's
used in western esotericism and it comes from the grimoire the book of the sacred magic of obramell
in the mage in 1897 and we know that it was translated to English by Samuel Del Mathers who
Crowley had big problems with but they were in the golden dawn together well it's described as
the adapted version of the biblical holy anointing oil that's described in the book of Exodus
attributed to Moses and it's said to have parts of Merce cinnamon galangal root many different
pieces are put together to create this obramellain oil then you have olive oil that's added in there
you have bee swingness added in there but then the big part is bodily fluid such as semen
menstrual blood vaginal fluids and a mixture of and we're going to talk about another part because
it's not just menstrual blood and we're going to talk about in a little bit other types of blood
that can also be used not just the menstrual kind even though up front you're going to hear that
that's the main one Crowley talks about other bloods can be used too we're going to talk about
those other bloods might be and another interesting piece about the obramellain oil is that Crowley
says it's a representative of the whole tree of life the ten Sephiroth he said are blended together
as the perfect gold what does that sound like the symbol of what the philosopher stone of the
alchemist because you're trying to transmutate something to gold so this is the obramellain oil
which is considered a type of the philosopher stone again i'm super open to the idea of the philosopher
stone not just one thing and it can completely be something metaphysical too but according to Crowley
it was connected to the philosopher stone this entire ritual is alchemical so let's look at the
various types of blood that can be used and that are acceptable within this cake of light so we have
of the moon monthly and that refers to the mental blood we have from the host of heaven and that
refers to a man's excrement we have of enemies then of the priest of the worshipers that's self
explanatory because that's of your enemy that you slice or kill yourself or you slice yourself if
you're one of the priest or worshipers some of the beast that refers to animals blood but then
they have a weird one here of a child now mainstream will say that it refers to fluid from sexual
intercourse why would it mean that when we already have from the host of heaven and that is saying
that it is of semen now i know some people say well no we're talking about of the fluid of a woman
i would say no to that of a child is going to be i believe of a child and i'm going to tell you
why i believe that because when we look at the temple setup you have a high altar you have the
altar of incense you have the font and it's a small circular item and it's to hold any kind of
liquid or water then you have the tomb all this is part of this ritual listen to this now
this is generally a small and closing space with an entrance that is covered by a veil it should be
big enough to hold the priest deacon and the two children to get a little bit deeper when you dig
into who the children are it says in situations where children are not available to fill these
roles adults or other assistants take on these duties during public celebrations why are children
being implemented into this we already know acroly says that the most sacred blood that you can get
is what of a young boy we know that from some of his earlier writings listen we need to always
look acroly as being a very vile despicable person at the court as much as there's a lot of very
interesting aspects specifically this series of him working with British intelligence he's using
these very demonic activities that are allowing him to connect to these entities and listen this
Gnostic Mass which is in Libre ABA and the entire Libre ABA is told to him to write
by the wizard obel D's and we talked about obel D's plenty of times on this show
so he's receiving this information from this non-human intelligence from these fallen angels
who are telling him to implement children into these rituals and they go into
this tomb quote unquote behind a veil with a priest and a deacon very very strange very nasty stuff
as a matter of fact and croly also goes into the Gnostic Mass in his confessions and I found this
line very interesting he says I wish therefore to construct a ritual through which people might
enter into ecstasy as they have always done under the influence of appropriate ritual in recent years
there's been an increasing failure to attain this object because the established cult shocked
their intellectual convictions and outraged their common sense thus their minds criticized their
enthusiasm they are unable to consummate the union of their individual souls with the universal soul
as a bride groom would be able to consummate his marriage if his love or constantly reminded that
its assumptions were intellectually absurd that made me immediately think about the inversion
tactic of Jesus Christ as the bridegroom and I'm going to read a few scripts here just to
let you know that this is where the original idea of the bridegroom comes from we can look at
John 329 the one who has the bride is the bridegroom the friend of the bridegroom who stands in
here's some rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice therefore this joy of mine is now complete
Jesus is considered the bridegroom Matthew 915 and Jesus said to them can the wedding guest more
as long as the bridegroom is with them the days will come in the bridegroom is taken away from them
and then they will fast Matthew 25 1 and 6 then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who
took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom but at midnight there was a bridegroom come
out to meet him Christ is the bridegroom we are the bride that is the true union the true connection
that we're supposed to have and here's Crowley trying to invert that within his Gnostic Mass which
all of these occultists are doing so towards the end of this ritual the priest reaches out to baffa
met and this is the God they're talking to here O line and O serpent do be mighty upon us
now he declares to the people that are there do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
then they respond love is the law love under will then the priest takes the Eucharist and then he
says in my mouth be the essence of the life of the sun in my mouth be the essence of the joy of
the earth then he says there is no part of me that is not of the gods which I said at the beginning
of this now this is the really weird part so you got the priest the deacon and the children were
in this tomb and they returned to the torn veil so the veil that's there is now torn and the people
exit again it made me think of scripture and we know when Jesus died the veil was torn that separated
the holy of holies where gods presents dwell for humanity in the temple in Jerusalem it was ripped
into and the idea is that when it was ripped is signified the end of the old covenant and the old
sacrificial system and now it has been completed with Jesus dying on the cross and some of those
verses I'm going to read real quick here Matthew 27 50 through 51 and Jesus cried out again with
a loud voice and yielded up his spirit behold the curtain of the temple was torn in two from
top to bottom the earth shook and the rocks were split mark 1537 through 38 and Jesus cried with
a loud voice and gave up the ghosts and the veil the temple was rent and twain from top to the
bottom Luke 2345 through 46 the sun was obscured and the veil of the temple was torn in two and Jesus
crying out of the loud voice and father into your hands I commit my spirit so isn't it interesting
and this Gnostic Mass again the inversion of scripture and why is it that they feel the need
to do that guys you know it's so funny listening to the occultus and the Gnostic rail on Christianity
and my question is why do you care if it isn't something that you believe in that you care about
why do you get so riled up why do you feel the need to try to invert it every turn why do you feel
the need to fight anyone you can think of who is a Christian if you don't care you don't care
move on but you do care because there's something inside of you that riles you up and I'm here to
tell you that I've been there I used to just revile Christians used to and there was a reason for
that because there were demonic entities around me that were riling me up to do so so to get to
some more activity that Crowley is up to in New Orleans we're going to move into Heinz Heinz
Ours but to get to him we got to talk about two people that we were talking about earlier we need to
talk about Ananda Kumara Swami who was the husband of Ratan Devi and Crowley gets a letter from Kumara
in 1917 and Kumara Swami begins to talk about Samuel Del Mathers and says that he is a true black
brother but also there are ideas and Richard B. Spence is one of the ones who brings this up in
his book agent 666 and he asked the question did the letter perhaps betray to Crowley the movements
of other German agents such as Heinz Heinz Ours and that's important because Heinz Heinz Ours
is in New Orleans at the same time that Crowley's in New Orleans now let's get to who Heinz Heinz
Ours is he was a German acro poet philosopher and writer of short stories and novels and he talks
about a lot of different things a lot of his works are based on horror and he writes about the
adventures of Frank Braun a character that he models after himself very much like Crowley modeled
Simon if after himself but the best known of these is All-Runa and he put that out in 1911 now this
is a German novel and a female lead character is named All-Runa now this gets really wild here
now the entire basis of this All-Runa story is in the middle legions of Germany and it
centralized around the idea of this humanoid shaped Mandrake route there's the Mandrakes I know
you've probably seen them in Harry Potter again all these fictionalized stories that you see even
in movies they're all based around something that's real that's in Alchemy that's in the occult world
you just have to know what you're looking for now how the Mandrake is really created an
Alchemy is believed to be produced by the semen of hang men onto the gallows what Alchemists say is
that hang men excrement after their necks were broken and that the earth actually absorbs their
final strength so that's supposedly their final strengths this excrement and in some parts of
the story it's blood instead of men's excrement but in this case for the majority of time it's men's
excrement now it said the root itself when it's grown and it looks humanoid that it can create
love potions and it said that the fruit of it can actually facilitate pregnancy it gets even wilder
guys which is who make love to the Mandrake route are said to produce offspring they have no
feelings of real love and have no soul what to me that was so crazy i mean it just links into this
hybrid idea and it's also the idea of even plant life being hybridized which we've talked about
pleading times of this channel we've talked about book a jash or book a e-naught book a jubilee
they all talk about it they all talk about not just animal life and human life being hybridized
but also plant life well here's which is making love to the mandrakes so in his book and it gets
even wilder because it's to me ties into the moon child aspect of it so he talks about the ideas
of artificial insemination and individuality and it's all based on this idea of genetics versus
environment so in the book there's a professor and he impregnates a prostitute in a laboratory
with the instrument of a hanged murder so back to this hanged idea so the prostitute conceives a
female and this female has no concept of love but the professor adopts so all runa suffers from
this obsessive perversion throughout relationships of her life and she ends up finding out about this
unnatural way that she was born in subterning on her professor in the end and it kind of reminds me
of any of the other homiculous tales that are out there frankenstein being one of the main ones
that people remember but this is another one and it again it's very similar to what's being talked
about in the moon child being able to create something without God being able to create life
that can be manipulated by the creator which is the human. Hi I'm Alicia and I'm Stacey and we
make trashy divorces everybody's favorite good podcast about bad relationships looking for
something true crimey without the gore or the body count we've been shurning out funny feisty
feminist episodes since 2019 so if you're looking to put some scandalous stories told well into your
ears this summer check out trashy divorces wherever you listen to podcasts trust us we've covered
someone you love or someone you love to hate so guess who oors is also associated with pro German
George Sylvester barracks so he's tight with barracks so of course Crowley is keeping tabs on
oors we also know that he was a very active propagandist he was actually arrested in 1918 by the US
government and British and French intelligence agencies they also asserted that oors was the
German agent but to get to how Crowley was connected to him getting arrested we have to get
back to New Orleans here so Crowley's complaining about how he's got no money and this is in his
diaries he's saying that he has only 70 cents to his name but somehow he can afford shelter
in very nice areas as a matter of fact sustenance ether which he's taking as a part of these rituals
so again he's playing like he doesn't have money he's even saying he's going on strike against
the spiritual because he is saying that the spiritual world has turned on him he is also acting like
he's going to turn on the human side of it specifically as one of his majesty's representatives
because he's saying hey you guys aren't giving me enough money but I believe that was all a
ruse or a front because he seemed to be living pretty well while he's in New Orleans now he
would have known the arrival of oors who shows up around that time now oors has been doing secret
missions in Spain Mexico and the Caribbean and that's very important because coming back from
the Caribbean he has learned Haitian voodoo and specifically how to turn people into zombies and
he learned this from the balkers which is the Haitian word for source were now what's interesting
about these zombies they are figures from Haitian folklore and voodoo tradition and they're
described as the living dead and they're said to be brought back from the dead or incapacitated
which most people believe that the incapacitated part is probably more in line with what you see
mostly right I'm not saying that people can't bring back something that's inanimate and at least
animate it with some sort of negative entity that's highly possible but to get to what oors was
trying to do here so what these balkers do they create zombies by controlling or reanimate them
and they use a special poise's mixture that creates a living death state and they take powder
from a pufferfish which mimics death and a hallucinogenic paste and they keep the victim
compliant now in Haitian culture they say if you feed the zombie salt and we have talked a lot
about salt on this show and how salt is used as a barrier from negative entities it's used for
all kinds of things when it comes to magical practices but they say if you feed one of these
zombies the salt they'll actually regain their senses and if they were already dead they'll return
to their grave and think more not zombie in the movies where they're eating flesh this is more
of a virus that when you give this concoction to a person they become this puppet for the balker
to be able to manipulate so so another one of these ingredients that is a part of this mixture
is human remains and they don't talk about that a lot in the mainstream side of it but that was a
part of it and New Orleans Uers was caught robbing a grave for such racial purposes so in the
aftermath of it he actually came down with psoriasis on his hands and he thought it was supernatural
retribution for what he did so he didn't think that it was anything to fairy spider anybody else
he thought that the supernatural world inflicted that on him because he crossed the line he wasn't
supposed to cross or he got caught crossing a line that he wasn't supposed to cross so there's
another way we can look at this and not just look at it as a supernatural thing so a few years later
during the Irish troubles rich agents used to use this powerful caustic in mustard gas to identify
IRA activists so what they would do is they would put this agent on latches and door knobs
and when they would grab these door knobs it would have this sticky liquid on it and then it would
leave these lesions on their hands so basically they would be able to identify these people by seeing
these lesions on their hands these enemies well the belief is is that the beast played a similar trick
on ours because of what it happened and here's a another aspect of this that Crowley could have
taken away from ours just again he's interacting with ours and Crowley was the type to mess with people
too so it makes sense that he could have done this to him again circumstantial evidence obviously
but there are writers that have suggested this now another interesting application for the corpse
powder and we were talking about this and it was the concoction of goofy dust and it was a weapon
in African-based magic practiced in New Orleans you would dust the victims residents and it would
cause the person who lived there misfortune illness or sometimes sudden death so check this out
right around this time that Crowley is interacting with ours and they're in the same city
we know that Dr. Moosterberg died not long after the mage arrived in New Orleans so
the idea is was something mailed to Moosterberg man listen we've been talking about anthrax
we're talking about this corpse powder this goofy dust and what's interesting is when Moosterberg dies
Crowley writes in the second of February my two and one fourth years work crowned with success
USA breaks off relations with Germany so he's talking about that the US is formally going to
several relations with Berlin and they hadn't yet so this is prior to that the idea is to
submit more than that that this was also a nod to that he took out Moosterberg as well again we got
to look at the way that he writes we got to look at the blinds that are being used and this is the
idea that Crowley is signifying that he took Moosterberg out it's funny that he writes this in
the United States hadn't even broken off ties yet and they literally did the next day
after he wrote it so he's already privy to what was going on so all this stuff Crowley is involved with
so after Moosterberg passes after the United States sever their communication with Berlin
Crowley bounces out of New Orleans like a week later and he heads to Titusville on Florida's
Atlantic coast so he goes there to live with his cousin Lawrence Bishop who's staying down there
and it's very interesting because Crowley doesn't really care for them very much he says that in his
writings and it's like he's waiting for something because he won't go back to New York he's basically
mooching off as relatives to save money but he's delaying it and why what was he waiting on well
there's a very good explanation of what he was waiting on because think about it the Americans
have now sever ties with Germany they're about to ramp up into World War One Crowley is at least
seen on the outside as being someone who is specifically connected to the Germans and it's like
he's waiting on something on all fronts not just from the United States that just from British
intelligence but also the Germans you got to think the Germans that are already heightened level
right now they believe there's probably people within their camp that are not really working with
them that are people like Crowley but they don't know that with Crowley but they're probably looking
off of that so Crowley's laying low for a reason so it gets very interesting from here so on
March 28 Crowley receives a letter from freighter Fiat Pax George McNeigh Cowie and he was a
financial trustee of the OTO lodge in London and obviously he worked next to Charleston Phil Jones
Carl Germer all these guys that work with Crowley and he writes a letter to Crowley and all we know is
that Crowley is angry he is enraged also seems a little bit scared about what was sent but he
decides that he's gonna cut all ties with Cowley at this point now he also says that Cowley
became violently anti-German and he said that he was starting to intrigue against him so he was
starting to say I think that you are actually working with the Germans now Cowley wouldn't be in
have been privy to Crowley working for British intelligence and him playing this double agent
so he's looking into the soul fat that he is working with the Germans and he's making a big deal
about it and he makes such a big deal about it that he goes to the authorities to stir up a wave
of trouble that reaches all the way to Washington and some of this has to do with Crowley and another
point of contention during this time is the molestkin property that Crowley had on Loch Ness
was being sold and Crowley needed money and Cowley refused to send him the money from the sale
and not that there was a ton of money in it anyway because he owed so much and even depressed
wartime prices would have had something to do with that Crowley just wanted the money and he's
mad at Cowley anyway so he's so mad that he goes to Washington himself to straighten it all out
and he actually says to his majesty's men in DC if I fail this time to get them to listen to
sense at least I can go up to Canada and force them to arrest me my hand is therefore at last
on the lever so he's actually threatening to blow his whole cover and tell everybody what he's
been up to if they don't pay him what's they doing up and so ends up after he threatens to blow
his cover they end up paying the money ends up being okay but it also gets a little deeper because
now he is threatening the British which seems to have worked but he's also got to
make sure that the Germans know he's still on their side the British still need him to be
deep undercover within the Germans well it gets very interesting so there's a crisis that happens
at the London OTO lodge at 93 Regent Street and this is right around the same time
so one morning Scotland guard detectives they raid the premises guns drawn so the mage actually
talks about he laughs he said there were a dozen mild old people trying to browse on the lush grass
of my poetry and the officers arrest one of them and says that she's a motherly old fool for
fortune telling but obviously the incident has nothing to do with Crowley but what Crowley does
though he uses that as a major playing point down at the offices of the fatherland and he actually
says a wonderful show scene of indignation in the office of the fatherland which helped me quite a
little on my weary way so he admits that this entire raid was to help me restore my position with
the Germans by heating the branding irons of infamy for me in the fire of publicity so he said
that was a way for him to get back at cowie and some of these other people who perceived
them to be a traitor and because they raid the OTO lodge and there's nothing going on there
but at the same time he gets back in the good graces for the Germans saying listen they're
they're after me they're clearly after me because they know that I'm on your side so it gets
better so he also alleges that everd fielding and fielding was an English barrister naval intelligence
officer and researcher and we know that he was a friend to Alster during his whole time and he
was a key contact with in British intelligence during World War One to Crowley so he says that
fielding who was in Cairo was helping him with this whole raid now some people don't see how
that could even be possible well fielding is not there in the United States anymore he's not
working with Crowley how would he be able to pull off this raid obviously he has contacts back
in London and he could have the raid happen but why would he do that for Crowley well how this
works is is that fielding was working real close with this spiring of Zionist Jews called the NILI
and they were working for Britain against the Turks they had political allies and financial
connections to the same Zionist circles in New York and they were working closely with who wise
men in the MI5 there and who's working for wise men Crowley's working for wise men so Crowley had
access to get information to fielding through wise men who was moving it through these Zionist
circles and then it went to fielding and then fielding was able to set off this raid which would
then in turn make Crowley look better to the Germans and listen it works because all of these
German agents were in the United States and we talked about several of them Dilger Hinch
Yankei they all lead they most of them go to Mexico but guess who doesn't and guess who gets to
stay and doesn't get any trouble Alster Crowley he was one of most outspoken German propagandist he
wrote for the fatherland guess who else doesn't George Sylvester Varick and with the end up doing
they change the fatherland to various weekly and they keep up the publication they're still moving
with the propaganda which makes you think who was very tied into who was very tied into with people
in the United States it's weird and it's weird the British didn't care either it's just a very
odd set of circumstances and it just goes into again that Crowley was tied into the right people
and multiple different organizations at the same time and he not only was utilizing his power
within these government entities who is also utilizing the power that these supernatural entities
were giving him as well and it's this weird connection that we always see and that's the point
of me doing this series and it's to show the hand in hand connection between the occult world
and the government world because we were just talking about the Gnostic Mass and all of the
political figures that were tied into that and many of the other political figures that pop up
that are working with Crowley that are deep into the occult but at the same time are working for
the government we see this more often than not and why is that it's because these people are not
only seeking more power but they're also seeking enlightenment they're also seeking to ascend
and they are being utilized by these supernatural entities to move us around and to build off of our
backs a system in which they can control us and really essentially stop us from our true purpose
with God well guys I had a blast the day I love jumping on the agent Crowley series when I can
and I'll definitely jump back on it later on down the road it'll be something that we consistently
do until we get to the final chapter of it all right guys love you all see you next time
