I'm Ben Thomas with an AP News Minute.
Pope Leo's return to the Vatican after an 11-day four-nation trip to Africa.
Our Nicole Winfield accompanied him.
I'm on the papal plane heading home.
Pope Leo has come to the back of the plane and delivered a wide-ranging press conference.
Vatican press conferences are rather unique dynamic because the Vatican press
port is so big and so international.
The reporters divide themselves into language groups and the Pope then takes
questions from each language group on a rotating basis.
That way one news organization or one national media isn't prioritized and
everyone can get more or less a chance to ask a question at least on an international level.
On this press conference, Leo took the first question on Iran from an Italian reporter,
the last question from an American.
There are also a handful of journalists from some of the African countries that we visited.
The AP's Nicole Winfield reporting from the papal plane.
And I'm Ben Thomas.
